Horrible stale food. In small proportions compared to panda express but for the same price.

Portions are a bit smaller than most Chinese carry out places. I suppose it's just enough to get full on if you weigh 120 lbs or less.

I have heard great feedback about Bambok House and and their authentic Chinese Cuisine. The second time I visited, I had the Hong Shao Rou with mushrooms (Braised Pork Belly) to-go, not a huge fan of takeout and this didn't disappoint and it was good. The takeout team member was pleasant enough. They feature an open kitchen with two tops closer to the wall/glass and larger tables more toward the middle of the restaurant. From the outside it features the traditional Chinese architecture with western building base. I look forward to yaksying the rest of the menu this year.

But the inconsistency has been an issue for me, and the flavors aren't as good as they once were. Dishes I regularly ordered like Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Japanese Egg Tofu, and Honey Walnut Shrimp haven't stood out as much as of lately. Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.

So so so Good. One of best Bun Bo Hue I've had in a long time. The broth was rich, and loaded with…read moreslices of beef shank that was incredibly tender. The house made saté brought the right amount of spice without changing the broth profile. The Bun Thit Nuong was also satisfying, perfectly charred grilled pork over a bed of vermicelli. The same flavorful pork is used in their Banh Mi Thit Nuong, an explosion of flavor when paired with pickled vegetables and Vietnamese butter. Kim's Pho & Grill is a great restaurant, thought they do close early at 7:30 PM. I've caught it a handful for to-go orders only, the portions are generous and it has been consistently good. This is an absolutely yes for my Bun Bo Hue fix.

The food was very fresh, but the broth was definitely not as flavorful as I liked it to be. I still feel that when it comes to some of the other pho places in Houston this one wasn't ranked number one. Still a very solid place for price, service and flavor. It is a very homey, modern atmosphere. There are different paintings of Vietnam throughout the season hung around the walls. The entire ceiling was a sky painted mural. There is lots of seating throughout the whole restaurant and probably around 50 chairs. They have a parking lot outside so parking should not be a problem. You pay at the counter, so just keep that in mind if you're waiting for the check!
