Buyers beware food poisoning. Husband was food poisoned by the boneless spare ribs/pork fried rice he had as lunch yesterday. He had violent vomiting and diarrhea, 7-8 times, the whole night last night till this morning. The pork in the pork fried rice honestly tasted extremely stale, disgusting flavor and had a weird odor to it yesterday (I got pork fried rice many times but was never a issue before). I had orange chicken with fried rice yesterday which fortunately didn't give me a food poison. read more

I do have to say I really enjoy this place. I have been here multiple times and enjoy everything overall. Pro's: good location, good food, normal staff expected at this type of place. Con's: expensive for the chicken wings. They only Give you a few chicken wings and charge double the price. I think this location is a little expensive compared to other places. I ordered two combination dinners and it was a little more than $20! Overall nothing really bad to say about this place. I ordered the chicken and broccoli which I'm always scared to order but I actually liked it from this location besides the one fat piece every once in a while. Been getting food from here for years. Food is usually pretty good - especially the pork lo mein and the steamed dumplings. Spare ribs can be hit or miss, same with the rice included with the combination platters. I think the boy behind the counter taking money may actually be old enough to work there now. What prompted this review, however, was my wife's recent order of egg foo young. Though it tasted ok, there were chunks of broken ceramic in it, perhaps from a deteriorating cooking vessel. We ordered chicken chow mein and there was basically no chicken in it. So I called to tell them they said the chicken is shredded it's meant to be small. I told them we ate it because we couldn't come back because the other food would get cold. Then he said did you eat it I said part of it and he said we can't give you a refund. He had already said I couldn't get a refund anyway unless they cancelled the whole order. Then he offered to take 10 percent off our next order but no one wants to go back there. I have ordered quite a few times from this place. It always was decent at its best. Last night, I placed an order for delivery. While ordering over the phone, I was met with a nasty attitude and they literally hung up on me before I was finished giving them instructions on how to get to my house (being that its a little confusing). Once the food arrived, I let it all go and began to eat being that I was starving. I ordered Chicken and Broccoli and Beef Lo Mein. Both the Chicken and the Beef tasted like straight FAT. Originally I gave this place 5 stars because I think their Dim Sum is delicious. However, I tried the Happy Family tonight and felt very disappointed. Pretty solid Chinese. Ordered the Mapo Tofu, Kung Pao chicken, and vegetable Chow Mein. The chow mein was amazing. Had to wait a bit but was glad it was being cooked fresh. The price was fair bug what stood out to me the most was the delivery guy, he was really nice and didn't demand a tip or linger around awkwardly.. Have been ordering food from here for years and the past 2 times we were given old chicken. The first time it happened we noticed but did not complain. We thought it was just a one time thing but then the chicken was definitely old again tonight. It was chewy and stringy so we called to inform them and asked them for something else. The lady was very nasty over the phone and when I went to pick up the new order and return the old order the owner tells me maybe next time I should try someplace else. I cannot believe that he dismissed us as customers for complaining about a dish that we normally order not tasting right, especially after being such loyal customers for so many years.
