Ordered the Sesame Chicken and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. 0/10 for both plates. The Sesame Chicken tasted very strange I couldn't place the flavor but it was nothing close to expectation, I've tried many different Sesame Chickens from multiple chinese restaurants on the island and this was the worst. Needless to say I couldn't finish the plate. My wife had the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and it was basically shrimp in a gelatin mass, super bland no flavor at all in the shrimp or sauce. My wife was so disgusted she only made it through 3 bites before throwing the plate. The pork fried rice was no better lacking color and tasting extremely bland as well. 0/10 all around would not recommend this place to a soul! Sometimes the best places in life, are the places you least expect. I was in the area and felt the urge for Chinese. My friend said he always goes to "New Wing Shun Kitchen" and that the food is amazing. I guess that means I have to try it and yes, of course, Yelp it. It's located in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking. The store seems as if it's been there for a longtime, it's a bit dated. And the inside was no different. The main dining area was small. It was also a bit on the needing attention side. But I wasn't staying to eat. I ordered my food and it was prepared pretty quickly. Once I sat in my car, I wasted no time. I tried the crab ragoons first. Truth be told, they were delicious. I was surprised with the flavor. I can say they are the best I've had. Next was my combo. I tried the chicken and it was tender and not chewy like the normal place I goto by my house. This chicken was juicy and the sauce was perfect. The broccoli was the way I like it and the rice, was fluffy and worked with the meal. I normally never get rice, but my friend recommended it. My experience with this place was positive, I would definitely go back and recommend like my friend did for me. I only hope, they clean up before more people show up. read more

Look, I'll be honest, it's not our favorite local Chinese food place, but it's the one we tend to go to most often because of how convenient it is. They have solid food, and nothing we've ever ordered has been bad; to the contrary it's always a good meal, I just can't say it's the best Chinese food around. The woman that works the counter is always pleasant. The food is always ready relatively quickly. It's really a respectable establishment that provides a consistent experience, which is probably the other primary reason we go so often. read more

The eggrolls were nice and crunchy, but basically rolled cabbage the dim sum and steamed dumblings were made well but somewhat tasteless, and no dipping sauces???? just a tiny thimble of soy. sad. I hate giving places low stars but sometimes you just have to. The hubby and I decided to try a different Chinese place. I was not impressed by this place. We ordered the egg foo yung, chicken wings, fried fish and spring rolls. The egg foo yung patty itself was good perfectly cooked and even has perfect round presentation. The gravy however was weak. It was very thin and lacked of flavor. The pork fried rice was also very bland. The chicken wings were really good however. Nice and crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The egg roll and spring rolls were also very good. The field fish was also cooked well. All in all I wouldnt eat here again but they get 2 stars for the fried part of the meal. read more

I will never ever order from Wing Shun Kitchen again! This is not the first time they messed up! I order what I normally get generals Tso's chicken n shrimp. This time they give me general tsos chicken n then shrimp on the side w onions n peppers. I call n they try to tell me that I my order is right n that they never make it the way I have always gotten it from them. They then tell me they will make it over n I told them ok n I'll bring the one back. I walk in w my husband n the lady pushes her son out of the way n hands me money back n says nothing. I've lived in holbrook, great neck, queens, Lindenhurst and work in Brooklyn and after trying so many Chinese food places I can honestly this place has the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life. We still love this place. The food is very good. Our order is 99% always right. Food is consistent. Flavors are light. No extra salt. No MSG. The lady and her husband are the only cooks which makes it perfect. That is why you get the food the same always. It's better than too many people in the kitchen. This lady remembers everything. She knows our family very well. The place is clean. The lady is always friendly. They get the food done within a reasonable time. The sons are growing up and help out sometimes.
