Soy Garlic Wings

I love Bonchon Chicken! Somehow my first time at Bonchon Centereach was less than a steller experience. My wife & I walk in during lunch and its not too crowded. After reviewing the menu board, we decided on the Seoul Sampler. The Seoul Sampler comes with 2 drumsticks, 4 wings, Bulgogi Fries, Pork Potstickers, Korean Street Corn and Coleslaw. The restaurant is smaller than most Bonchon restaurants, it's more of a chain restaurant style take out spot. I asked the casher, do you have any plates and utensils? Yes, when your meal is ready it will be with your order. The meal comes out and there are no plates. My wife went to the register and asked for plates. She was told they don't have any?? We were given a to go box and we ate out of the to go boxes. The chicken drumsticks and wings were fantastic. The soy garlic is our favorite. Then, everything else went south. Bulgogi Fries - The Bulgogi was fine on top of the fries. They added a mayo sauce on top, my wife was out. The Korean Street Corn had the same mayo sauce. The coleslaw is mayo based so, I liked them but my wife said no bueno. The next time we come, it will be for chicken drumsticks and onion rings...

This was very good! My fiancé told me about bonchon fried chicken months ago and when I found out we were getting a bonchon just 15 minutes away, we had to go! I ordered 6 boneless wings; soy garlic and Korean BBQ. Both were so good! I also ordered seasoned fries. They were good, not great, but still good in flavor and crispy. My fiancé ordered drumsticks and they are HUGE. He also opted for soy garlic and he really enjoyed as well. Service was very friendly! Prior to arriving we couldn't find it in the shopping center as the GPS brought us to the wrong location. I called and spoke to a kind gentleman who told us exactly where they were. Very helpful. The girl working the counter this afternoon was also kind. Everything is made to order. This is NOT fast food. You will wait a little for your order, but it's worth it! Yummy!

Bonchon, which translates to "my hometown" in Korean, embodies a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it perfect for families looking for a casual dining experience. The eatery offers a delightful blend of Korean flavors and Asian fusion dishes that keep patrons coming back for more. During my recent visit while spending time with my parents, we decided to explore the menu, ordering a variety of dishes to find our favorites. The House Fried Rice was a standout, featuring perfectly cooked rice tossed with eggs, red bell peppers, onions, and scallions, all enhanced by a savory Soy Garlic sauce and topped with sesame seeds. The Korean Street Corn was another highlight, grilled to perfection and slathered in Kewpie Mayo, mozzarella, and Korean red chili flakes, creating a deliciously creamy and spicy treat. We also indulged in the K-Meal To-Go for 4-6, which included a generous mix of 12 wings or boneless pieces and 6 drumsticks accompanied by two sides. We chose the soy garlic and Korean BBQ sauces, both of which added a rich, flavorful kick to the chicken. Lastly, the Bao Buns filled with savory pork belly, complemented by cucumbers, coleslaw, spicy mayo, and katsu sauce, offered a delightful texture and taste that rounded out our meal perfectly. Overall, Bonchon Centereach delivered a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience that catered to everyone's tastes. I can't say much about the service since I ordered ahead of time, but when I arrived, the items were ready to go.

It reminded me of a KFC, but with an Asian twist. I wouldn't mind trying the fried rice next time or the Katsu chicken. We went with boneless chicken wings and made it a combo, I got a side of fries and it comes with coleslaw or radish. It was super busy on a Saturday afternoon but we found a table and our food came out in a timely matter.

Went on a Sunday night around dinner and I was prepared for some type of lines but I was pleased that there were not too many people inside. Ordering was done on a self serve kiosk but there are staff members available for any questions. We ordered a mixed box of boneless wings (half korean bbq and half spicy), bao buns, and seasoned fries. Everything came out hot but the chicken was not as crispy as I would have expected. The spicy sauce was absolutely spicy and the fries are tasty but everything was super salty. The pickled radish was a good palate cleanser in between bites. The food was a great value for the price we paid and nothing was bad but I don't think we would go out of our way to come back again.

We decided to try this newly opened restaurant. I called to place an order, but they do not take orders over the phone (per Corporate rules,) only online. And the online App was not up and running yet. Located in a small storefront, in an extremely small & busy side parking lot. The restaurant was very busy!!! There are approximately 10-12 tables for eating in. The line to order was out the door, and remained that way, with only 1 counter person taking orders, which was frustrating during Grand Opening days. The food orders go through a kitchen window and there is someone expediting the orders out. I don't think it's a great system, fairly chaotic, and once online orders get rolling, and possibly delivery services, I cannot imagine it working efficiently. We ordered a bunch of things to try. The Udon Noodle Soup wasn't great. The broth looked like soy sauce and the noodles didn't have a pleasant flavor. Beef bulgogi was excellent. Great flavor, the meat was tender. Pork belly fried rice was mediocre. Some of the rice was in sticky clumps and still white. The wings (we had soy garlic sauce) were excellent. Delicious crunch and decent sized wings. The Boneless Wings (we had Korean BBQ sauce) were also very good. Again, a nice crunch, and a nice meaty piece of chicken. The sauce was very spicy. Lastly, we had the pork pot stickers. They were excellent, with a nice outside crunch, but tender inside. We thought the portions were small, (between pint and quart sized portions,) and it was quite pricey. Customer service was good amid the craziness and still clearly learning, which was expected.

Located in the heart of Long Island, New York, Centereach, Bonchon made its grand opening earlier this week and I have to say that I was impressed by their wide selection of Korean fried chicken and the amount of people waiting on line!! This place was jammed packed to the BRIM! Bonchon offers an array of quality Korean fried chicken and not only packing some flavor but quality of food. Since they just opened earlier this week, I would recommend getting there before rush hour, which is 4/5pm. I reached there at 4pm and got done with my food by 5ish. The wait was definitely worth it because I was able to get my hands on some WELL deserved Korean fried chicken. I would highly recommend getting their selection box. I got myself the 6 wings and 2 drums selection box with half Korean BBQ and half spicy sauce! Highly recommend the spicy sauce, it definitely comes with a kick but nothing overpowering. Also got myself their fried chicken bao buns! The coleslaw works very well with the fried chicken inside. A little messy but still flavorful. Then for my final bite I got the Bulgogi fries with EXXTRA cheese and Bulgogi! Bulgogi for those that do not know, is a thinly sliced beef. Often grilled or stir fried, extremely yummy! I would highly recommend stopping by and grabbing yourself a wing or two! Kayla the cashier was phenomenal!! She handled 100 customers BY HERSELF and was sooo loving! Thank you! Welcome to the heart of Long Island!

I always wanna try the Korean fried chicken . This place just open we have to try it is a Small place ,looks clean the service was fast and the food is good I'll be back !!

I've eaten at many Bonchons throughout New York. This is not Bonchon. I had high hopes, thankful one opened around me and ordered a party size of wings. They were very soggy, worse than frozen hungryman chicken. It was inedible and the family couldn't eat it. For the owner, please train your staff. Whoever cooked that night, they clearly don't know what they're doing. Very disappointing,

All of their food is ridiculously over salted. Barely edible and your tongue will end up numb.

Football season, pumpkin spice lattes and WINGS! What can beat that combination right? Well if…read moreyou're into wings and football and lattes, I would highly recommend stopping on by to Atomic wings located in Miller Place. Vinny was incredible and we definitely need more people like him, he ensured each and every detail of our experience was a great one. These 5 stars are for you Vinny! Thank you for an incredible experience. He offered the Tuesday special which includes 20 wings, which you can have up to 4 choices of sauces, with large waffle fries. You can't beat that! Great quality chicken wings, cooked to perfection in their BBQ chipotle sauce and buffalo sauce. Sauce to wing ratio was amazing, not too soggy but crispy and juicy wings. We also tried their honey bbq sandwich and Nashville hot chicken. Both highly recommended! The ambiance was great! Made you feel like you were In a man cave, enjoying your favorite food watching your favorite football team! Definitely show some love to Vinny at Atomic wings, it's football season baby! Ya can't go wrong!

This is a fairly new Atomic Wings location. I'd been excited to try them out and they did not…read moredisappoint! I was immediately greeted, upon entering. The woman behind the counter was pleasant and amusing with a welcoming smile. It was not particularly busy, as there were a few patrons waiting for pick-up and delivery drivers coming in and out. The restaurant is well laid out between dining area, bar and order counter. In hindsight, I can't say I can think of another Atomic Wings with a bar. I placed my order and was offered a drink while I waited by a wonderfully mustachioed (and bearded!) gentleman. Keep that type of kind service up, I will have to make this a regular haunt! Atomic Wings does the best kind of chicken IMO. No breading, still crisp, not fussy. Their standard blue cheese is often lacking a 'zing', but I've noticed some stores don't use the franchise dressing. My order was for a 10 piece tradition wing, well done with Thai Chili sauce, and blue cheese dressing. My wings didn't get soggy, even with a ten minute drive home. It's because they have vented take out containers! No need for me to crack the box open so air can escape The wings were perfection. Thai chili had the best blend of spicy and sweet. The blue cheese tasted a bit ranch-y but was still quality and enjoyable with chunks of cheese. It wasn't until well after making short work of my wings that I realized there was no celery/carrot included. I wonder if that's because I didn't ask for them, or if they're not offered at this location. Either way, I didn't need them and barely noticed, just a mention of you're into that kind of thing.
