We made a reservation for dinner on a Friday night. It was last minute reservation but they managed to fit the six of us in. The lobby entrance is understated and casual. I loved it as soon as we walked in. The very chill staff showed us to our table. The cocktails were so fun and instagrammable. We each got a couple. They were good but small. I liked the monkfish but the peppers as appetizer were simple and a highlight. They care very much about presentation of the dishes. I say that because the ravioli was covered in foam. It was under there somewhere! As with most places in Amsterdam it's hard to find someone to come by when you want to pay and leave, but it was a busy Friday night, and that phenomenon is not unique to Lotti's. They're trying. After the meal we went upstairs and played with the photo booth. Pro tip: Six people will not show up in the photo.

Scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with a side of bacon - delicious

Great spot for brunch. There are plenty of European options, but after the long flight I went with the scrambled eggs and bacon, served with sourdough sliced toast. The eggs were very buttery and cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy, although surprisingly salty. Add cold brew coffee and it's a great start to the day... even if it starts at noon! The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. There was one man constantly watching tables, directing the wait staff and making sure everyone had what they needed. If you find yourself in the area get some brunch!

Loved my lunch at Lotti's! The ambiance was very comforting and the dining area was clean. I really enjoyed the avocado toast with a cappuccino. Will be back next time I am in Amsterdam!

We were exhausted after our red eye from New York, our hotel room wasn't ready and we needed a bite to eat. This spot has adorable tables along the canal, and delicious food! Perfect find.

Inside the Hoxton Hotel. Great cocktail list but I went for mezcal neat. Cool cat atmosphere, buzzy. Hang out here for a quick break from strolling the canals and getting out of the wind if you've come during winter. Cozy seats, fireplace... sit back and enjoy.

We stayed at the Hoxton and greatly enjoyed capping off our days with a cocktail downstairs at Lotti's. While it did get very busy, we were always able to find a spot in the comfy lounge. Service was consistently friendly and attentive. The first day I had the Other kind of smoke cocktail which was delicious. The second day I had the Herengracht cocktail which was also good but a little less exciting. We didn't eat any food so can't comment on that, but as a bar I'd definitely recommend it.

I was there for drinks after dinner out somewhere else. It is both restaurant and bar serving also the hotel upstairs. Very cool place with great great cocktails. But you can also sip great beers and wines Hard core DJ blast great music which was so pleasant it did not matter the volume. The 2 winter cocktails I picked were super good. I will try next the food and if it is good as the drinks it will get to 5 stars. Service very nice but a bit disorganized.

Terrible service here. The food was average. I had a broccoli soup (just ok) and a roasted vegetable and mozzarella sandwich which was good. Unfortunately for a hotel restaurant you are stuck with this as the only choice within. The hostess is not welcoming and the servers are just inattentive.

House cocktails in heavy etched glasses. So traditional!

I can't get over this place! So much to say and yet all I want to say is "yum!" "cool!" "awesome!" But I'll try to be a bit more descriptive...but really, you can stop reading here and just go. Ok then, here's the nitty gritty. It is inside the Hotel Hoxton with a black awning. When we went there was a doorman dressed in black. Just mention you are going to the restaurant and he will point you in that direction. We were then greeted by the hostess and directed to our seats. There's a lobby-type area with comfy seats and the bar nearby, another area is under a huge skylight which is where we sat and loved it (you could see into the kitchen), and then an area just past that in a mood-lit area where I would recommend for a date. Though the whole area is great for a date. That area just, um, sets the mood. The food is based on Italian dishes, but some Dutch thrown in there. So if you are Dutch, no worries, you can get your bitterballen ;) -SPOILER ALERT- Everything was delicious, so I won't bother saying that after everything. This menu was for two people...just so you don't get the idea I ate EVERYTHING listed! Served with bread and oil Cheese croquettes-nice, hot, cheesy goodness Rib Eye-perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful and served with Bearnaise sauce Veal-tender, flavorful, crispy coating with beautiful presentation Fries-very good, but not Flemish-style Chocolate Mousse-creamy, chocolatey, not overly sweet and served with crushed pistachios Tiramisu-not traditional, but tasty. Seemed more like a pudding than traditional tiramisu. House cocktails: An Engroni cocktail and cocktail with vodka and cucumber. Both smooth and refreshing. Longer wine list than you would expect for a place like this. Menu is long enough for you to find something for you, but not too long that it takes you forever to just read through it. Decor is simple and classy without being overly fancy. The staff is professional, courteous, polite, friendly. A highlight in Amsterdam. Prices are very reasonable for the level of service and quality of food. Perfect for: drinks with friends, business meal, date night, evening with visiting parents.

Delicious homemade iced tea! Something a little citrus spicy to it. It's wonderful.

The Hoxton is an awesome hotel. A burger from Lottis left my wife with food poisoning. They should consider changing to a new vendor.

So good I stopped by twice on a 3 day trip to the city…read more I stopped by on my first visit craving a big, hearty sandwich for a late lunch and thought this might be a good find. Happy to report I was very right. I grabbed one of the many outside seats, took a look at the menu that was entirely in Dutch and waited for the wonderful waitress to quickly translate nearly every item for me. I landed on the chicken club and it hit the spot. I arrived hungry but could still only manage to finish half. Chicken was grilled perfectly into thin slices, soft boiled egg was a new touch that I loved, avocado, lettuce and probably a few other things I am forgetting. Oh, and a handful of crisps on the side. On my next visit, it was my last night in Amsterdam and I still haven't tried the infamous fries. I stopped in around 9:30 for a late night snack and a hot ginger tea. The fries were the perfect fries! Thin, crispy, salty. I loved. I also can get behind the mayo thing they do here, even though I really am a ketchup loyalist. Anyway, lunch or dinner or late night snack, this is a good spot. You'll like the foot and you'll love sitting outside people watching, reading your book, whatever.
