I had always heard about Lost Worlds Brewing. Well ... not always. It wasn't as though people stopped me on the street and shouted, "Hey, man! Have you heard about Lost Worlds?!" I imagined that being a long-coated homeless man grabbing my arm while shouting the above, but a homeless man couldn't afford a beer--unless he was homeless because he was an alcoholic (he begs for change until he can afford a beer.) But if that happened, would the staff at Lost Worlds kick him out? Tough call. It's a friendly and efficient staff but they would have to choose between friendly to one or comfortable for all. Fortunately, I have yet to experience this dilemma. Not referring to being homeless due to alcoholism (still possible) but coming across a homeless alcoholic in a long coat at Lost Worlds. Every time I have been here, it's laidback. Trying to stay away from beer due to fitness (drinking other things) but they do have some great beers on tap. The best value is Kama. Get that one. Extremely friendly staff. Amazing beer selection and food. Even one of the kitchen staff members spoke to me while I was sitting at the bar and asked me what I ordered. The beer was just ok. We shared two flights and weren't wowed in either direction by any beers we tried. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. My only real disappointment is that the business is in the end of a very basic strip mall. The inside was cozy but the outside was not inspiring. read more

Stopped in on a Friday evening since we've heard good things about Lost Worlds. The weather was pretty nice but surprisingly outside was not over crowded. Inside the brewery it was pretty packed, with maybe a table or two free, but outside there was plenty of seating at the picnic tables. Ordering was simple and the staff was very helpful. It was my first time there and I didn't know what to order, but was given some suggestions based on my flavor profile and they didn't miss. This is a very convenient location near lots of eateries and things off Catawba Rd. It's sort of an unlikely place for a brewery, but surprisingly it works. They have an activity room inside where I think I saw a pool table too. No shortage of things to do, and they often have food trucks outside as well as live entertainment. Check it out! read more

After hearing about lost Lost Worlds Brewing, decided to give them a try on a nice day outside. Glad I did! It's a pretty neat brewery and to me, has somewhat of a Jurassic Park look/feel. LOL! They have a wide variety of beers - lagers, ales, IPAs, stouts and even a hard seltzer option or two. While they do not sell food at the brewery, they do have a food truck options that are located typically outside. The food truck options change, I believe on a weekly basis. You can check out their website to learn about different events and food truck options that happen each week. Since I could not decide on just one beer (many of them sounded really good), I decided to go for a flight option. The four that I chose were various IPAs and each had a different taste/flavor to them. All of them were really good! Of course, you can taste test beers before you decide to purchase them. Service is top notch as well! The staff is very helpful and friendly, and gives you some good suggestions when you can't decide on what you want. Long after you are gone from the order counter inside, the staff comes around wherever you are and asks if you need anything else. If you decide to purchase another drink option, they have mobile payment devices with them which allows you to make the purchase without going back to the counter. They will bring your drink out to wherever you are. It's a really great brewery option and good experience if you like beer! If you are in the area (or not), give them a try! Really cool venue! It's an open floor concept with an industrial vibe. Lots of seating and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. They were so many beers on the menu that we wanted to try!! Thanks to staff recommendation, we decided to order two flights (4 4-oz pours each) ranging from lagers to IPAs. Each beer was unique and delicious! As a note, we came during off hours (230pm on a Wednesday) but we checked the event calendar, and they have live music, trivia, yoga, and a variety of food options throughout the week!! Most of the staff were great, great beer, however, I was flicked off by one staff member, unprompted. I had no communication with her prior to her gesture or following the gesture. She did this in front of my 4 year old and my daughter saw it. Completely unprofessional. I do not recommend going here. Been here 100s of times with family, neighbors, and friends since they opened. However, this place absolutely hates kids, so if you have kids please avoid at all costs. On several occasions we have had experiences where we have been treated differently because of kids. Once we were told "your kids can be here but they can only play under your table" (this time there was only about 10 people outside). Every single time I come I make sure my kids are behaving and make sure I clean up after they eat. Last night they stopped serving our large group because simply because of our kids. When we questioned Elliott he threatened to call the police, which is comical. It is hilarious because before when our large baseball family group decided to go there my exact words were "they will kick us out because they hate kids!" Never again, and I will make sure this is communicated to everyone I know and reviews completed on all social media platforms. 911 what's your emergency? Elliott, "please come fast there are kids here!" And please hold the reply of my wife going in to the private party because we know the Schwinn's. What a fun spot! Stopped in to check it out on Saturday night and was happy to find they had much more to offer than just beer! I opted for a delicious blood orange margarita on tap. The outdoor area has heaters and a smokeless fire pit, very cozy! There was also a food truck and live music. Bartenders are friendly and will check in on you to see if you need refills. Great atmosphere! I love their huge outdoor patio- plenty of seating and room for anyone and everyone. They are dog friendly outside and I saw more than a couple families letting their kids run around. There is a convenient place for a food truck to park & a gate that opens up to allow patrons easy access. PLUS- plenty of other food options in the shopping center that you can bring back to eat while enjoying your local favorite beers. We landed here because Paul wanted to bring Memphis (his dog) out with us- aka, we went places that had outdoor seating and were dog friendly. I really thought their merchandise was fun- I was tempted to buy a t-shirt here. John loved his flight of beer and grabbed a pint glass for his massive collection. Lost Worlds has an amazing taproom! The space is wide and open and very welcoming. We spent our evening here having amazing beers and delicious grilled mac n'cheese sandwiches. The beers are delicious as well. We had the Marzen, the WC IPA, and the BlackBerry Wheat and everything was very well made and drinkable. read more

Had: Bludacris- Bull City Cider from Durham and a flight and a glass of Stinnes Helles Lager. Best cider I've ever had. Granted that's not made here. I'm not a beer fan and appreciate when a brewery has alternatives. The Blueberry Lemon cider was delicious--almost like Kool-aid--so be warned easy drinking is the truth. Laid back atmosphere and great music. Hubby loved the beers and his belly would tell you how much he knows beer. Beertenders super nice and friendly. They laughed at my hubby's jokes, that means a extra tip in my books. ;-) Definitely suggest for an afternoon of chilling or an evening date. read more

They have a decent selection of beers, several different styles and they are all good. Since the weather was great, I sat outside in the nice covered patio area where there was a guy playing guitar and singing. There was also a food truck on site, which is always nice to see at a brewery that doesn't also serve food. While this place isn't close to my house, I probably wouldn't go way out of my way to come here, but I would definitely go back if I find myself back in the area. read more

What a find at the end of a shopping strip mall in Lake Norman area! Plenty of parking and plenty of outdoor space to relax at a social distance. Dogs are allowed on the patio as well! With plenty of options of beers, you can't go wrong! Get a flight if your heart desires multiple tastes. They have seasonal beers as well (Octoberfest Marzen was a hit for me in the fall)! Try the cherry wheat if they have it. It has a sweet and tart aftertaste of cherry. There is always a food truck outside at the edge of the patio, so make sure to check their instagram page or call ahead to see what's cooking that day! Easily the best patio in Cornelius. Their beers are GOOD. Always ask if they have any specials. The last time I was in the Honey Cask Porter was incredible. Pretty awesome little brewery opening up under the absolute worst circumstances possible for a small business - so swing by for some carry out! "Euchre" is a very easy-going sessionable beer and as a proud Canadian (who loves to play euchre) I think it's fantastic that a beer is named after that awesome game which is super common back home! "Vista" is a standup 7% IPA, but for me "equator" is the winner here at just under 5% ABV and lots of flavor. I also really dig the artwork and the cool little stories on the side of the cans; pretty awesome. Looking in on the facility from the 6 foot marked queue, it looks like a clean and well organized brewery, a cool addition to Lake Norman craft scene. Can't wait to have the full experience once COVID-19 settles down! read more

Amazing brewery great beers and great staff. The customer service is the best. Prices are also really reasonable. The outdoor dining area is really clean and bartenders make rounds to collect glasses and clear off tables. Baes Burgers food truck was also there. Had a chance to come in after having lunch in the area and met up with some friends. I was originally under the impression that the theme was supposed to be based around the image of Jurassic park. I was told by a server that the original reports that came out misrepresented the theme they were shooting for. Instead the vibe the decor and wall art gave off reminded me of an Indiana Jones film with images of old post cards advertising far away exotic lands, as well as artifacts and even some fossils. I really enjoyed the atmosphere it provided and totally get what they were going for inside although the location inside a shopping center sort of takes away from the mysterious lost world vibe. As for the beer, I tried a flight and enjoyed each of the beers included. They had a nice variety. The service was friendly and the employees were very enthused and excited to answer questions and share info about their work place. You can tell they really bought in which is always nice to see. Apparently there is a food truck onsite but we left before dinner time. Will have to come back and try that soon. Overall I would recommend this to anyone living in the Cornelius area or around lake Norman for a visit. read more
