The store is nice, but I can't believe it's 10 am and there's no pastry to eat. So I'm here drinking only coffee

Really like this spot. It's always clean, quiet, and quick service with kind baristas. The midcentury design is neat too. The cold brew here is good! They make a great iced vanilla almond milk latte. You can taste the vanilla more so than some other places. They usually have a handful of fresh pastries in the case too. I have yet to try one yet but they do look tempting. Even if there's a crowd here, service is quick and you can usually find a spot to sit. I appreciate that it's not a loud spot if you're looking for somewhere to sit and work or read.

Inside is super trendy. Seating is VERY close together

I popped in today for a latte and was thrilled to see that 77 Grounds offers oat milk! I've been incorporating dairy alternatives into my regime for a few months now and seriously can't get enough out of oats! The 77 Grounds 12 oz oat milk latte ran me about $4 and some change which in my opinion is a totally fair price. The espresso was roasty and toasty. Not too bitter. I'm really thrilled to have them in the neighborhood. I can't wait to try the cold brew and nitro cold brew which they have available on taps or in cans. For COVID-19 precautions the staff are wearing masks and they require patrons to wear masks inside.

Chill vibes, stout espresso, and friendly staff every time I've come. This coffee shop has become my local favorite when I visit Davidson because it is new, clean, and super consistent. They carry Pure Intentions coffee and espresso (local brand) and it's so yummy. The cortado is my fave but I also highly recommend the espresso shots solo if you are a serious coffee drinker; they're balanced, nutty, and have a nice crema. You can almost always find a seat outside and can stroll to Milkbread (Joe & Katy Kindred's latest outpost), Davidson Chocolate Company, or even Sabi Asian Bistro for lunch or treats which are all just a stone's throw from 77 Grounds.

Short version: Had a lovely experience today. I love that they offer dairy free milks like oat milk and almond milk. I also love that they have Pure Intentions Coffee as well. Totally worth a visit and would return. Long version: Came in on Labor Day Weekend to check out the place. It's super convenient to have free street parking right out on front on Jetton. The place is beautiful and clean. The menu is simple and not overwhelming but has just about everything you would want from a local coffee shop including Matcha and some teas. I ordered a Jade Cloud tea; my sister ordered a latte with half and half. Both were prepared nicely and we received wonderful service. They have a small station with options for sweetener including honey and stevia. They offer Bakery 28 goods but we didn't try any on this trip. They will offer a vegan, gluten free cupcake soon. I had to use the restroom while I was there and it was spick and span just like the rest of the establishment. The tables are all spaced apart so social distancing is easy. There are benches outside but no designated outdoor seating yet. Keep in mind this shop has only been open for 3-4 weeks. One of the owners was there and she was very open to all of our questions and addressing our concerns (especially due to the nature of the previous reviews posted). I had a lovely time and feel 100% comfortable supporting this small, locally owned and inclusive business. I highly recommend coming to check it out for yourself.

Seriously the coolest little coffee shop. Amazing coffee and a great place to meet up with a couple friends or to work on homework. It's quiet, clean and just have an overall great vibe! Can't wait to go back!

Just stopped in to 77 Grounds to check them out. We got great service and great coffee and tea. We loved the personalized attention, Maddie, the owner gave us. We'll definitely be back!

The coconut mocha is SO good! Loved Chromatic Coffee in San Jose and have searched for a replacement coconut mocha since relocating to Charlotte and this is it! I get it less sweet and it's perfect. Also kudos to the barista working on Labor Day with the morning rush providing such friendly service!!

Fair warning, It is pricey but worth it! Their best deal is their sandwiches that includes a side (today I chose the tomato soup with croque monsieur) Food: Tomato soup, while basic, was robust and flavorful. The Canneles de Bordeaux ($3.25) was a rum soaked cake that boast of a custard center ... dearest gentle readers, there was not a custard center a tasted more gummy than like a pastry The croque monsieur was a heat up I was expecting fresh and bubbly like true Croque Monsieur and it was essentially a sandwich that once upon a time had bubbly cheese and crispy bacon. Their best deal brioche it was on was absolutely incredible - soft, sweet, and spongy, but there was a stark temperature contrast to the "ran through the toaster" broiled top. My total after tip was $22.41. (Yes I tipped the staff for an order at the front and carry it to me, which is typically against my principle of no tipping if I have to stand and order but that's a different soapbox) Atmosphere: chaotic, loud. There is a small kiddo section with toys and a couple of arm chairs, 3 or four booths and 3-4 small tables along with outside picnic tables that have umbrellas. I have no idea who created the acoustics of this building but everything seems to echo, so if you're looking for a cozy cafe to get work done - this unfortunately isn't it. They do community events there for those who love to speak French or want to learn and improve on their French and are a part of Goodie bags app so if you can snag one of their deals - that's a fantastic way to support them! They are open Weekdays 7-3 (closed tuesdays) and 8a-3p on the weekends. Finally, they have paired with other local coffee shops to have their pastries for sale I would have paid the same (if not more!) for similar items at Panera (prepackaged, overpriced hospital food IMO) so I will hands down continue to support local, freshly made ingredients. I didn't have coffee this go round but thoroughly enjoy their lattes

The sandwich was spectacular on a wonderful crusty baguette. It wasn't heated up and made fresh about two hours before I came in most likely, so it wasn't soggy as others mentioned. It was wonderful. The flavor was very savory. My grandmother was very pleased with her breakfast sandwich! Big, flaky croissant with fluffy eggs! The coffee was not weak and I enjoyed it. Creamer was offered as a self-serve from a pitcher. It certainly felt better than opening 9 creamer cups between two people. Free water was offered at the end of the line, too. So, no waiting for a refill. I also got two pastries to go-- both were spectacular. Sweet in a savory and memorable way, rather than being over-the-top and masking fake-y ingredients with sugar like many places do. The bakers do a wonderful job. Despite the crowd and line, the employees moved quickly and kindly. Pleasantries were still exchanged and things made-to-order were out in a timely manner. The people here work very hard. It's a hectic job but they do it well and they do it without sacrificing small niceties or helpfulness. The interior was nice, too. Tables were kept clean and there was a nice area for little ones to occupy themselves while parents enjoyed their drink and meal. Books, some plushies, and pretend-play toys were there. No tablets or items that could make them hyper. I very much enjoyed my experience after a hard night and morning. Thank you to everyone that works at Cocotte for showing up and staying kind. With tip, for two people you can expect to spend around $35. Not a terrible price for a great brunch experience with great environment + people. I recommend 100%. Though, maybe come early in the morning while everything is fresh. Others have different experiences late in the day it sounds like.

I love French inspired cuisine. I have traveled across France. We hosted a French exchange student for a year. I took French in school. This was meant to be a specialized gift for the occasion. The small seating area only had 10 tables tightly fitted into the back of the strip shopping center store. The decor was eclectic but overwhelming. It feels claustrophobic but clean. There were two servers tending to the dining room. They were friendly. There were mistakes on the special menu and they alerted of the issues. They had a special Valentines menu, a tea menu, and a dessert menu. The tea was good. They got it out in a reasonable time. The server brought me a smidge of honey. They had a decent selection of caffeine free teas. She took our food order the same time as our tea order. We sat at our table waiting for an hour before questioned the status of our meal. The table beside us was also becoming restless and tired of waiting. Finally the table beside us received his chicken salad sandwich. His date received my date's order ant took a bite. They resolved this by taking the plate from the incorrect table and gave it to my date AFTER it was touched! This left me sitting there with no food. My date finished her meal and I was still sitting there with nothing. I only ordered a salad topped with grilled chicken!!! After being there for one hour and fifty minutes they said the chicken was still not ready. They didn't charge if for our meal but I never received any food. Nothing. This was a well thought out special occasion that was ruined by an incompetent kitchen. It was a disaster. I left there and stopped by Jersey Mike's. Two hours of my life totally wasted.
