There's a fine line between a dump and a dive... this one is easily the former. Sticky tables, an appetite-vanquishing kitchen, and rude service. Apparently if you're not best friends with the staff then you get second class service. I've been a fan of Lost Weekend for years, ever since stumbling upon it on my first visit to Miami. Located in the heart of South Beach, Lost Weekend is anything but touristy. It attracts all types of people, hipsters, grunge types, models, pretty boys, intellectuals, you name it and it's here. Total beer bar, not sure if they even serve liquor. They have about 10 or so beers on draft which are available by the pint or pitcher (for reasonable South Beach prices) and a fridge full of others beers as well for your choosing. I personally come to Lost Weekend to play pool though. They have about eight tables, most of which are coin operated. However, there is one table up front for which you pay by the hour. This works for me because you don't need to worry about some pool shark putting quarters down on the table you've been waiting for and then need to worry about beating them in order to continue playing. The atmosphere is fun; they have the warehouse vibe going on in here and the jukebox is always playing a variety of tunes that will put you in a great mood and even make you dance a little between pool shots. They have various specials each night so be sure to check the board before ordering. On our most recent visit, pints of Yingling were a mere $3.00. read more

Very cool bar with pool tables, a foosball table, and even a douchey "How hard can you punch" machine. Very laid back atmosphere with a variety of different cool music playing all night long. Wednesday is ladies night so ladies can enjoy free mixed drinks and even domestic draft beers. I have been to Lost Weekend so many times and finally had their Philly Cheesesteak during a Miami Yelp Event After Party. If you are craving a South Philly Cheesesteak (Ginos, Pats or Pick Another), I'm told that they fly the Amorosa bread in from Philly. It was delicious and the bread was just what I remembered. I had sworn off Cheesesteaks after my trip to Philly but now every time I pass Lost Weekend, I'll be thinking about Philly Cheesesteaks! Went here with my fiancee to play some pool and watch March Madness. Being from Chicago it's rare that we hear really good music(alternative) in the bars. Ehh. Not my favorite bar but it was OK. It does not seem like it would be located in S. Beach because it is not a glamorous place. It is very laid back and they have several pool tables. The crowd is nice and they play a variety of music but it is not loud enough to dance too or not that great of a mix to hear. They have one bar in there and several seating areas around. The people working here were cool and very chilled. My favorite part was that they had the Alibi in there! It was delicious but I will tell you more about that on their review! After wandering about and deciding where to hit up for a bite to eat to go along with some entertainment, we stumbled onto this place. Our group was up for anything and I got a great vibe when the bouncer looked at me as if I was insane when I asked if there was a cover. As I made my way to the bar and ordered my beers the bartender told me they were had a 5 for 20 bucket special. Not Bud-light, but imports too! Score! As I read thru the menu, I started people watching a bit and the place reminded me of the Star Wars cantina. There were people from all walks of life up in here - it was great. After placing my order in for a Philly Cheesesteak, a couple of us decided to go play skeeball. The machine was out of order so we went for the air-hockey table. An air-hockey table and skeeball under one roof on South Beach are you kidding? The air hockey table was neoned-out - it was a blast! The place has a small second floor landing that we did not get to discover. There is also a juke-box and it was a blast people watching munching away at my food. The sandwich was pretty good. Hanging out in clubs and bars on the beach isn't really my thing and it's probably because there aren't a lot of places like Lost Weekend. This place is one of the better "chill" spots on the beach. They have a great selection of beers and their bar food is delicious! Even better, there are lots of games to keep you entertained while you hang with your friends (Pool, darts, Foosball, etc.). The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they allow smoking in here and there's nothing I hate more than having cigarette smoke around me when I'm eating. Lost Weekend is a great place for you to check out of you're on south beach but don't want to do south beach. Meaning this place isn't where you'll find douchebag guys or girls trying to be Instagram models. Place is super laid back and extremely casual. Handful of pool tables fill the main floor while a fooseball + air hockey table make up the back area. They have a food window for bar fare and a pretty full bar with great beers. More like something you'd find on 2nd and Chestnut in Olde City rather than the heart of South Beach. Run by Philadelphia transplants, it's so Philadelphia that they have their sandwich rolls flown in via FedEx daily from the Amoroso Bakery in Philadelphia. As any Philadelphian will tell you that the Italian roll is the secret to an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak. Completely non-pretentious Lost Weekend is the perfect bar to drink at if you are drinking more than one. This bar has something for everyone, great bartenders that moonlight as hipster baristas next door at KYI, great (yes I said great) barfood (GET A CHEESESTEAK and no I'm not the guy that orders the shrimp scampi at a bars), great drink prices (PBR for 3.50/Jackncoke for 7 bones) pool tables for the hustler types, a jukebox and for a semi dive a pretty decent girl to guy ratio. I was surprised at the size of this bar. I believe there are 4 pool tables, an air hockey table in the back, and even a cute upstairs balcony with tables for you to enjoy the view while sipping on their cheap beers. They also have a full functioning kitchen (serving delicious looking sandwiches, I might add), a large bar area and many tables for patrons to enjoy the pool players, people watch all the while embibing on the bews and jamming to the freshly selected tunes from the jukebox. I also believe they offer outside sitting. Their service was kind of slow and they only had a bartender serving which slowed things down but this was only the second stop to our crawl so I waited patiently to be helped. This bar was A-OK. I tried to spend my vacation in Miami seeing the non touristy parts. So my friend brought me here. It was cool. We wanted to play Skee-Ball but the machine was not on. Lucky for my friend because I was going to open up a can of whoop-a** on him. So we played air hockey. Which would have been fun excep there are too many lights. I'm super glad that I'm not epileptic. Serously, it was that bad. On to the drinks. I was shown this place by a fellow Yelper a couple years back and would not likely have wandered in on my own, but I am glad I was taken in. The pool tables in this darkened bar are of decent quality, and during the day are often free. The beer is cheap by Miami Beach standards. And the Juke Box has a huge selection of music. I honestly do not come in here often, but nowadays I do stop in for the occasional beer and the conversation with the random but very down to earth beach residents who do frequent this place.
