Went here on Night on the Town for December. It was a madhouse but understandable with how busy Night on the Town is in December. We were quoted an hour wait but it was probably close to 40 or 45 minutes. Since it was extremely busy, it was very loud and hard to really carry on a conversation with your friends. I would say this is more of a bar that also serves food. I ordered the queso blanco dip for an appetizer and was a bit disappointed. I wouldn't order it again. My friends and I were satisfied with the tacos we ordered. Definitely try the Island Shrimp taco. It was delicious. I think it's great the restaurant is adventurous in their taco recipes, so I tried the fried green tomato taco. I was not a fan but my friend loved it. I'd recommend trying this place at least once. Oh, I forgot to mention that they didn't pass out menus but instead have a QR code on the table for the menu. read more

We were in town for a marine graduation and decided to come here for dinner. The place didn't have seating options for parties larger then 4 so we had to sit on separate tables. We ordered the nachos to share without any additions but they brought them out with beef added, (which was additional charge too) and I'm a vegetarian so I couldn't eat them. Our family got a variety of tacos (I didn't get pictures of everything) and everyone said the food was okay. The service was a little slow too. Lost Local is a great little spot in downtown Beaufort. My husband had a crack fries as his entire meal and he was in heaven. The boom boom shrimp was OK. The menu said that it would be tossed in the boom boom sauce but it was actually served on the side. Now to my tacos. My Carnitas taco was excellent! I opted to have no lettuce on mine. I would definitely get it again! My island shrimp taco I would not order again. I couldn't pinpoint what I didn't like about it. It might have been the Crema. I didn't taste the jalapeño as the menu mentioned. I am sure that some people would love it. It just wasn't my favorite. Also, there was a heavy portion of slaw. Although we did not have drinks this evening the bar looked exceptional! I've had a few friends come in and say that they have excellent drinks. We have lived in the Beaufort area for almost 2 years. Surprisingly enough, we have not tried lost local as of yet. Until today... Sat at the bar, service was fantastic. Ordered a couple of blackened, fish tacos, A skinny margarita, and a couple (actually, three) of northern California IPAs. Everything was very tasty, and we will be excited to come back for sure. We got a chance to try 7 different tacos, but I highly recommend the island shrimp and the Deep South Gullah. On the other hand, I didn't love the Hawaiian chicken taco. I've been to Lost Local twice now - once just a quick stop and once with family. They have great cocktails - mostly tequila based, as it is a Mexican fusion type restaurant. We all enjoyed the various tacos we had as well! It is a little expensive as the prices listed are just for one taco. Haven't tried their apps yet but hope to in the future! A bit on the small side inside but they can usually squeeze you into a table! A fun and tasty location! read more

I stopped into Lost Local with girlfriends after a day of shopping. This great storefront location with a cool name drew us in. Lost Local has a great look and feel. Sleek and modern with a vintage touch, creates a nice, comfortable space. We sat at the big bar flanking the left side of the room instead of a table. The bartender was sooo nice. He was friendly and helped us choose great craft cocktails. I was very impressed with the tons of options. I went with some sort of lavender martini and LOVED it. My friends ordered unique & delicious cocktails too. We also tried the chips and queso just as a quick snack. The chips were ok but the queso was rich and creamy. Spent a weekend visiting a girlfriend and we came in for lunch on a Saturday. It was not busy so we chose a table by the window. Loved the atmosphere here. This ambiance is super cool. Lost Local is eccentric with good drinks and even better food. Everything is fairly priced and you get as much as you pay for. I got the muscles appetizer which was well flavored and a good portion size if you want to get it as a meal. My partner got the peel and eat shrimp that was extremely flavorful She also got the shrimp tacos with the pineapple salsa. We got the Mac and cheese that was super creamy and the fries which were the perfect crunch. I came to lost local the other day and they were pretty packed so my fiancé and I sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. I was hesitant to get a taco when he said they only used corn tortillas because usually I ask for flour, but what was in the taco made it so good that I really didn't mind the corn tortilla! Ate here last weekend on the first night of our first visit to Beaufort. The meal was excellent! The tacos were simple but delicious and stuffed beyond what I'm accustomed to here in Virginia. However, the star of the meal was the shrimp appetizer we got. I love shrimp and this was the best I've ever had. I'm on the website now trying to find a place to request the receipe. The shrimp was served hot, in shell while de-veined and in an awesome creole broth. I wanted to go back a second time in the same long weekend to get this dish again but settled for visiting again just to pick up a logo shirt.
