Met a cousin in Leesburg for lunch while visiting Virginia from Arizona. I'm used to really good Sonoran food and this was just pretty average. Friendly server tried to pitch $12 margaritas which we wouldn't have, water all around. Chips and salsa were good, fajitas were generous and standard portion. Spouse and I both had chicken enchiladas with green sauce, he had rice and beans I had only beans. Although these were good dishes there was just nothing remarkable about them. Excellant. We finally decided to eat at Los Tios, since it has been open in Leesburg longer than we have lived here and that's a good sign. We loved the food, the menu is expansive, service was spot on, great parking. The staff especially was notable for working as a team and making sure we were always fine. (It was a cold Tuesday night, so not sure how it would be on a busy weekend day.) Everybody in our group loved their food, the beans were especially loved, but there were no complaints. First time here. The best thing about the dinner was the service. Everyone was very attentive and helpful. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. We started with the queso. It was just plain melted Velveeta type cheese. I did like the chips though. Thin and crispy. The salsa was very watery and very onion heavy. I love onions but it was too much. Same with the pico it was mostly onions. My chili relleno was very small and had a lot of batter on it and my enchiladas were barely like warm. My daughters steak was rare but did have good flavor. The margarita and mango daiquiri were ok but very weak and the drink menu has no prices on it. Overall the best thing was the service. Will not be returning unfortunately. read more

I've had the chicken fajitas and they are outstanding. Yesterday I tried something different went with Combo 2 which is tamale and taco. Great flavors, fresh homemade, really enjoyed. Beans and rice are included so you do not come away hungry. Why 4 instead of 5? The margarita are just not flavorful as I'm used too. Our first visit today, and our bistec encebollado (steak with with onions, white rice, side salad, avocado, and black beans) and chicken flautas were fresh and had great flavor. Big portions, so we had a lot left over to take with us for lunch tmw. We had our chihuahua with us, and the waitstaff was super friendly and accommodating to him- they brought a bowl of water for him, and cooked up a plain, grilled chicken breast which they cut up into small pieces for him. When we headed out, we forgot our to-go bag, and when my husband went back about 30 minutes later, they package up a new set of 1/2 an order of my beef dish, 3/4 of a grilled chicken breast, and flan (what we had left behind in the bag). We ordered two dinners and two margaritas, one small and one large. My enchilada dinner was very good but my "large" margarita was not large at all and was served in a martini style funnel shaped glass with very little margarita in it. When I received the bill (attached) found out that they had charged $16.95 for my "large" margarita which was even more than my $14.95 enchilada dinner. The drink prices are not listed in their menu and kind of felt like I had been scammed. This is, quite honestly, the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. The location was fine, parking was convenient, menu pretty typical. I ordered the mixed flautas, and they came out quickly, but that was the end of the positive. Flautas are a standard menu item, kinda hard to mess it up but they were so unappealing in appearance, flavorless in taste, like if I hadn't known what I'd ordered, I would have wondered what was rolled up inside. The rice-one of my favorite parts of the meal typically, was terrible-it was short grain yellow rice, but it tasted old/like the refrigerator or freezer when food has been left in too long and not covered well. I actually didn't even eat it or take it with me, it was that bad. The salad was wilted and the guacamole browning. Most unappetizing meal I've eaten in years and the service was baseline. Leesburg is no culinary paradise, but trust, you can find something better. read more

I'm a sucker for great Mexican food and I fangirl over happy hour margaritas. The menu is very extensive and offers a wide variety of Mexican, TexMex and Salvadoran food! For indecisive people like me, it was slightly overwhelming but our server made sure to help with recommendations. The chips for the complimentary chips and salsa were so fresh and crispy! We ate like 3 baskets full. I opted for the Mojarra Frita and I can say I would eat that over and over again! The fish was fried perfectly and the seasoning was excellent! A delicious little place that is easy to miss if you focus on the restaurants in that historical area a few feet away. I would definitely go back and try more dishes. I can see how delivery would be a popular option - serious comfort food. Our server was also very sweet. I liked the outdoor seating, though didn't love that the back seating is so close to the cars, but it wasn't anything that lessened our experience. There were so many things on the menu that looked delicious that it was difficult to pick just one. We had the steak and eggs and surf and turf. (Ok there's no listing for surf and turf but I can't remember the actual name of the platter, just that it had beef and shrimp). The platters were incredibly delicious. One of those times where you think you could eat this same thing for days. It was even delicious reheated (the portion sizes are pretty big). The meats were well-marinated and juicy and flavored perfectly. The refried beans tasted better than usual beans. This is a great place to eat outside on a warm dinner day. That's my plan! I was in this restaurant on July 3, 2021. The food in this establishment is nothing to write home about. The service by Claudia was also lacking which explains why at the lunch hour the restaurant was mostly empty. I guess she thought I should have ordered more. But the big thing was that my credit card was charged for more than I authorized or was given a receipt for. She padded the price to raise her tip. WOW. We have eaten at this quaint Mexican/Salvadoran restaurant since they opened. Today we stopped by for lunch. Wendy was our server and could not have been more pleasant. I had the skirt steak and my wife had a shrimp dish. Both were excellent. Skirt steak can be very tough if not cooked properly, but this was very tender and was flavored uniquely. The shrimp was also cooked perfectly. The unique flavoring from their dishes come from their Salvadoran influence which makes this a different type of Mexican. For those who have complained about the house salsa, get some of the Salvadoran hot sauce to mix with the salsa. read more
