This visit was horrible let me start there. We walked in the two ladies in front Just looked at us we said hello then one of them said how many. Customer service no good starting off. The salsa tastes like tomato sauce. We ordered margaritas they taste watered down most of them come with Jose Cuervo. My wife ordered a Long Island and it taste like blue curcao nothing like a Long Island. The food was good but cold. The manager came over at the end to ask how was our visit. We told her how bad the Long Island was and how the drinks were not good and she said the bartender been here for five years and everyone loves her drinks. I asked her why does this restaurant have 3 1/2 stars on yelp then. She has no response and basically she didn't care about our opinion so why did she even ask us ? Most mangers will apologize and say they appreciate the feedback but not her she just said everyone loves the bartender drinks she been there 5 yrs. Then she tried to leave and my mom was still giving her feedback but the manager was not interested in listening again why ask ? This will me my last visit here I suggest you safe your money and go sone where else.

It's located in the Town Center across from Cheesecake Factory. I wasn't expecting much but came to be in good company with some friends and for the happy hour. They offered complimentary chips and salsa. We later found that the happy hour items are only available at the bar and since we were seated at a booth, we missed out on that. One of the $6 happy hour items was a quesadilla which I still intended on ordering so I stuck to it and ordered the quesadilla deluxe at the regular price $12. It was a decent size, not super filling, and the flavors were standard. It came with guac, sour cream and shredded lettuce. The interior was decorated nicely and the staff was average.

This was my first time at Los Toltecos Authentic Mexican restaurant. I usually enjoy a good Mexican meal but this wasn't the best experience. What was nice is that they have lunch specials on the weekend but the food was just okay. Margaritas are usually the highlight but mine was watered down and didn't have much flavor or alcohol in it. The service was okay. When we told our waiter about the drink, he didn't do anything to remedy the issue. One of the best things about the restaurant is the aesthetics. It's beautifully and culturally decorated, even the ladies room!

Love this place. Reliable, consistent. Friendly staff. Dulles mall ain't what it used to be, but still enjoy this restaurant.

I was out and about in the mood for Mexican food and decided on Los Toltecos solely based on one Yelpers pic of their fajitas because they looked incredible! The restaurant is in the mall and it's a bit of a walk from where the gps "tells" you to park (gps takes you near Macys when the restaurant is near The Cheesecake Factory) but it was nice to browse the stores afterwards and walk off some of the food :) I sat at the bar and the bartender took a few minutes to acknowledge me despite the bar not being busy, however, once he did acknowledge me he was friendly and attentive. I went with the fajitas Texana and I had high hopes given the pic of the fajitas drew me in, and all I have to say is that they EXCEEDED my expectations! These fajitas were literally the most flavorful fajitas I've ever had and the portion was HUGE!!! I would literally venture back just for the fajitas (& the menu also had very interesting options other than fajitas that are also probably delicious). Overall this was definitely a nice find and especially for a mall restaurant.

We came here to use a gift card we have had for over three years and was pleasantly surprised that this was still in the area. We were to one a few years ago and it was pretty awful (my hubby found a toothpick in his shrimp tacos) so we haven't been here in many years. I didn't realize it was in Dulles Town Center - tucked away on the first floor under the food court. Food (4/5): I was pretty impressed that this had MOLE - I am obsessed with mole! This mole was really good - I always get the Enchiladas Poblanos and sub cheese (instead of chicken) enchiladas. The sauce was nutty and a little sweet. It came with a side of rice, lettuce, pico and sour cream. I only ate one of the three enchiladas (the dinner special is $15 and lunch is $10 but only comes with two enchiladas.) I just ate the leftovers by microwaving them and they were even better the next day. Hubby got the tacos birras which was not what I expected. Usually birra tacos are dipped in the beef consume and then pan fried at the end with lots of cheese on the outside. The trio of tacos had shredded beef, cilantro and onions with a double corn tortilla with cheese melted between the two tortillas. I missed the consume and cheese on the outside. The flavor was good - even better when dipped into the beef consume, but I probably wouldn't order these again. Service (3/5): They were really nice here - our waiter came over with chips and salsa (decent) right when we sat down. Then, about halfway during our meal, he disappeared and we had another waitress who was nice enough. Really odd. Ambience (2/5): This place was a very kitschy and colorful - it was like a true Mexican fiesta. On a Saturday afternoon, it was filled with lots of kids and families and we were all seated together. The kid in the booth behind my hubby was coughing and kicking at the seat...kinda gross for this post COVID time. There was an entire back area (near the bathrooms that was not full at all. They should have spaced us out a bit more. The guys in the table next to us were talking really loud with inappropriate humor for a family venue. I think that this is mostly the type of customers rather than the restaurant itself.

A pretty great Mexican franchise place that I've been to! I love how they give free chips and salsa for you and the salsa is freshly made it seems like. Very light salsa - not thick salsa like in a can. We got the Texana Molcajete. It was enough for 2 people! We barely finished it and even brought it home. The only thing I had a gripe with is that they only give 3 tortillas. It wasn't even enough for the amount of food. So we ended up ordering extra tortillas, which was an extra cost. Overall, it was very delicious - all different type of meats. I would definitely recommend this is if you are with someone else (like a significant other or a friend) The service was excellent! Our waiter was very timely with everything and very nice. A very underrated Mexican place!

A great time for the whole family that heralds back to the nostalgia of the '80s to early '00s. The wait staff is very courteous and friendly; food is generously portioned and decently priced; the kitschy theme and interior motifs set a light-hearted vibe; the menu is vast but not too much so, with options for everyone; and the wait times are okay. The hospitality and the decor strongly compels nostalgia to good times out with your family when you were a kid from days long gone. With that said, the food is not the best but it is what I would consider lesser average to on the nose average. The quality of both ingredients and execution are not necessarily up to par, and not everything has a lot of flavor. I will say, that the salsa and chips are some of the better ones I have had in quite a long while; and in keeping with their penchant for hospitality, not only are these complimentary but without limit. The ambiance, vibe, and atmosphere are all lively and fun but not overly loud to the point where you feel like you're in a nightclub and can either hold a conversation nor enjoy yourself & your company. A very fun place to take a date or your family.

Honestly first time in a Mexican restaurant that was in side of a mall. Truly didn't know what to expect....came on a week day night not to busy and didn't mind it. Not much going down on a Thursday I guess. Good time to go if you want to avoid a crowd. The music selection was on point, very good vibes, I was feeling the decor. Especially the wall art and rugs. You want me to get to the food right? I ordered the Molcajete Texano (minus the chorizo), it came out hot and sizzling, well seasoned, and proportioned. I am not sure what the broth consisted of but it was very delicious. The slices of queso fresco and grilled jalapeño was a nice touch. I will definitely be back well done Los Toltecos. I didn't try the Nachos yet so I gotta leave it at 4stars.

Great service though we were only there briefly for drinks, err, while hubby and my pup waited for me for a quick shop at one store. This place happens to be attached to the mall with outdoor seating and allowed my hubby and pup in the patio seating. Server even brought out a bowl of cold water for my pup so that was a plus! Even though we only ordered 3 drinks total, they gave us chips and salsa and a refill of chips and salsa as I joined them after shopping the last few minutes. I could tell the food were fresh as they brought them out for the diners around us. It definitely looked better than Uncle Julio's. I was still so disgusted by the slimy guacamole at Uncle Julio's just the day before... We will definitely come to this place instead!

This was our first visit, and I have to say, it was a surprisingly enjoyable experience from start…read moreto finish. We initially decided to stop in after seeing some of the food my coworkers had ordered. While I wasn't able to identify exactly what they had from the menu, everything coming out of the kitchen looked fresh and appealing, which convinced us to give it a try. The smash burgers were excellent--cooked well, flavorful, and made to order. We also tried the lamb taco, which was very good and offered something a little different from the usual menu options. My daughters ordered the calamari and enjoyed it as well. For dessert, we sampled the churros. They were fresh and had a nice texture, making for a solid finish to the meal. One of the highlights was the fresh-squeezed juice. We tried the mango, and it was outstanding. You can definitely taste the difference when it's made fresh. My only observation is that the bottles are a little small, so it's easy to finish one quickly. That said, the staff was accommodating and even provided a couple of cups so we could enjoy fountain drinks as well. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, patient, and eager to help. There was a small mistake with our order, but it was corrected immediately without any issues. That's often a better indicator of customer service than getting everything perfect the first time. Special recognition goes to Hector Ramos at the register. He was professional, courteous, and made a great first impression on behalf of the restaurant. The only minor challenge was an occasional language barrier, but it never impacted the friendliness of the staff or our overall experience. Everyone remained kind, respectful, and committed to helping us. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has umbrellas and a nice atmosphere, although it was a little warm during our visit. The indoor dining area was comfortable and inviting. One thing to keep in mind is that much of the food appears to be prepared fresh to order. Because of that--and the volume of takeout orders--it may take a few extra minutes compared to a typical fast-casual restaurant. In my opinion, the wait is worth it. A little patience goes a long way when the food is being made fresh. For a first visit, this was an easy five-star experience. Good food, friendly service, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be interested to see if future visits are as strong as the first. Yelp Elite Reviewer

I have heard a lot of good things about Taco Bamba and decided to try it because it is closer to my…read morehouse than my usual/favorite taco spot, Bandit Taco in Leesburg. We went to the restaurant around 5:30 today and there was a decent crowd in there, so I was growing confident that we would have a good experience. Unfortunately, we did not. We ordered about 8 items, a combo of tacos, nachos and other items. The person who took our order was awesome, super friendly and enthusiastic, so we were off to a great start. We got our order number and waited about 10 minutes until they called our number. When I walked up to the pick up counter, the young man verified my number and handed me a single taco, then just stared at me as I looked (and felt) confused. I told him there are about 7 more items on my order and again, he just looked at me. I stood there awkwardly for about 5 full minutes while they called other numbers. Finally, I went back to my table and my wife took the receipt and went to the counter. 10 minutes later, she came back with the rest of the order. We had trouble figuring out which food belonged to each person, so we took some guesses and dug in. The initial taco that we ordered was now cold, but I ate it anyway and it turned out to be the best one, it was a carnitas taco. The others were a total letdown. The Pollo El Carbon was totally dry, the fish taco was so wet that when I picked it up, the tortillas were soggy and the bottom fell out, and it had no taste at all. The nachos, we ordered them with ground beef, came with chunks of beef that was also dry and not tasty, so nobody ate that at all. I saw that this place had won "Best Taco" in Northern VA Magazine, and frankly, I suspect they had a lot of friends voting for them because this isn't even the best taco in Sterling, much less NOVA. I will happily go back to Taco Bandit and actually enjoy my food. I did like the medium and verde sauces, and the hot sauce was good too, so Taco Bamba has done a good job there.

For many of my friends, when we visit this area, Crooked Run is now a destination because of the tacos (as well as the beer). I do find them delicious and nicely spiced. For me, their price is slightly below average among places I visit, so I find them to be a good deal, especially since they come in slightly larger tortillas - and double layered at that. Their lamb tacos - now 2 styles - are incredibly popular among my group, but I've never had a bad taco there. But the tacos are very messy. Perhaps they have a little too much - even double layered, some of the tacos fall apart as I eat them. Also their method of delivery is a little inconsistent. Two of us ordered two tacos each at the same time. One got his on a tray, I got mine in a little cardboard holder. Maybe they have a limited number of trays? No matter, it's not how they're presented, it's how they taste. And for that, I say "Si Senor!"
