Basura! This place is absolute garbage. This was our second time there. The first time we thought maybe they were having an off day between the waitress and the kitchen they couldn't get their ish together. TODAY we came back and between the loud melancholic music at the bar and the radio blasting in the back room we couldn't even talk to each other. Forget that part, my fiancé asked for a quarter chicken dark with rice, her daughter asked for a chaufa con carne and I asked for a Peruvian tamal and a quarter chic dark. When the food comes out my fiancés chicken is completely cold and instead of a tamal I received a cold papa rellena. I told her it was fine that I'll just eat it but my fiancés chicken was cold. She took it back and brought a dry quarter white (yes she got Brest instead of dark COLD AGAIN. I got my quarter dark and when I took the first bite it was RAW CHICKEN I told the waitress we were done and that i'm not eating raw chicken and she had the nerve to tell me "they will take my raw chicken off the bill" lmao damn right i'm not paying for that garbage! Never again will we step foot in this place yuck

The food is sooo good. Definitely the best Peruvian food I ever have. The Sterling location is great too. We ordered the chicharron and lomo saltado. It was delicious!

I was so excited to try this place our since the original had a great reputation back in the day! BUT NOPE! 35 minutes for a takeout order after being told 15...to then get home and realize that my order is missing all side items and my second order (lomo saltado) is TASTELESS! Safe to say ...never again ‍

2nd location. Same great Peruvian Chicken and the green sauce is the best I've had. This location is also newly decorated. Can beat this place. Lunch special served until 2:30 is just $7.49 including drink and 2 sides!!!

Meh, hit and miss. Last time I was here it was good, not great but good. This time chicken was flimsy and dry and fries were gross.

Delicious homemade food cooked with the care of a grandmother. I especially enjoy the hand shaped tortillas.

Then while driving around that gas station looking for a spot to park, I smelled some amazing Pollo a La Brassa and saw La Chocita behind the gas station. That smelled drew me in! The folks inside were friendly and sat me promptly. I ordered a quarter chicken and she immediately told me she didn't have any chicken today (I think she meant not ready yet). I said I smelled it and that's why I came in, so she said to wait and went in the back. She came back and said she had chicken, so I assumed the fresh, amazing smelling chicken I came in for that was being cooked was ready. Well, what I got was yesterday's chicken which seemed to be re-heated. It was dry and flavorless... very boring. No spices to be seen or tasted - So very disappointing! The beans that came with it were decent... not a lot of flavor, but great texture and still good. The salad was fresh, their "dressing" was the typical mayo-based sauce and it was ok. Overall - Nothing at all exciting about this visit... I left disappointed.

The parking lot needs some work, it's not paved. Apparently this place has been in business for over 20 years, they could improve in this area. You start with complimentary chips and salsa. This wasn't bad. I started off with horchata, very good. I had half a chicken all dark meat with yucca and rice. The chicken was pretty good. Flavorful, juicy, tender. The yucca was the perfect texture, crispy exterior, soft interior. The rice was okay. The sauce both white and green could use some work. I'll say, their sauce doesn't come close to super chickens sauce. We dined in. The place was clean. The server was nice. They checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. They have a extensive menu. I'll definitely come back to try out the other items.

The meat options were also greatly appreciated by my friends who joined me at the restaurant. Ask for the in-house spicy salsa if you like a kick of spice. The prices are very reasonable for the generous portion sizes. The service is friendly, and the food arrived in a decent amount of time even when the restaurant was busy. Definitely recommend visiting this restaurant when you're in the area.

I wasn't feeling up to the big chains and places I wanted to try seemed to close early. Luckily this place was open and I had been wanting to try it for a while. Definitely it let a hidden gem! There are some parking spots right in front, although not many. There is a decent amount of seating, but it would be tight if you had a large party. My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.
