My coworker picked up food on his way in tonight. He got the steak fajitas and was pleasantly surprised. I got the enchiladas de la casa which were not edible. Something tasted very off with enchiladas so I only ate the rice and some of the beans. Would definitely not recommend the enchiladas. Coworkers even tried the meal and agreed something tasted off. The queso was very good, my partner said that staff was personable, and food was ready quick.

I was in the mood for mexican food and since this was right off of the main street ID decided to stop in. While it wasnt packed, it wasnt empty either so it took a few mins to get a seat. They brought out the chips and salsa and these were the nice big chips that had salt on them so i was happy about that. I ordered the carne asada tacos that came with rice and beans. It was a healthy sized portion so that was nice, but other than the rice being good the rest was bland. Overall, it is a nice place that can scratch the mexican food itch.

Service was very kind and quick! Love the iconic donkey statue out front. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to know each other, even a person grabbing their pick up order seemed to know the staff! I was alone so I planned to sit at the bar but there was only like 3 bar chairs all occupied by staff? The rest of the restaurant was very empty on a Sunday, with only 4 other people in the restaurant. The food was just okay! Overall: not bad, just okay!

Have always been looking for an authentic Mexican place since we left California. This restaurant is very close. Roomy dining area. Attentive and fast service. Lots of veggie options. I had a combo with burrito, enchilada and guac taco. Big portions. The value is only Ok though.

I'm from Arizona, so this food was OK ... The buffet was 11.99 and had a variety of taco items. I did enjoy the rice and corn... salsa was good too, but chips tasted a little old.

Customer service was very poor and they were unable to provide any assistance. You're better off going across the street to Anita's!

Good guilty pleasure food. Good service. "Skinny" margaritas should be served in a smaller glass.

Then while driving around that gas station looking for a spot to park, I smelled some amazing Pollo a La Brassa and saw La Chocita behind the gas station. That smelled drew me in! The folks inside were friendly and sat me promptly. I ordered a quarter chicken and she immediately told me she didn't have any chicken today (I think she meant not ready yet). I said I smelled it and that's why I came in, so she said to wait and went in the back. She came back and said she had chicken, so I assumed the fresh, amazing smelling chicken I came in for that was being cooked was ready. Well, what I got was yesterday's chicken which seemed to be re-heated. It was dry and flavorless... very boring. No spices to be seen or tasted - So very disappointing! The beans that came with it were decent... not a lot of flavor, but great texture and still good. The salad was fresh, their "dressing" was the typical mayo-based sauce and it was ok. Overall - Nothing at all exciting about this visit... I left disappointed.

The parking lot needs some work, it's not paved. Apparently this place has been in business for over 20 years, they could improve in this area. You start with complimentary chips and salsa. This wasn't bad. I started off with horchata, very good. I had half a chicken all dark meat with yucca and rice. The chicken was pretty good. Flavorful, juicy, tender. The yucca was the perfect texture, crispy exterior, soft interior. The rice was okay. The sauce both white and green could use some work. I'll say, their sauce doesn't come close to super chickens sauce. We dined in. The place was clean. The server was nice. They checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. They have a extensive menu. I'll definitely come back to try out the other items.

If a place executes its vision at a high level and exceeds expectations for its lane, that is a 5 star experience to me. And this meal absolutely did that. We relocated to Northern Virginia a couple of years ago, so we have been exploring the dining scene here with fresh eyes. Since moving, we have visited The Wine Kitchen several times, and each visit has been consistently impressive. They are truly a gem in Leesburg. We went with the pasta tasting menu and it was an outstanding, technique driven progression that really showcased the kitchen's command of fresh pasta and sauce work. The pasta itself was the foundation of the experience, clearly house made, with impeccable texture across every course. Each shape was cooked to a true al dente, with that ideal balance of tenderness and bite that only comes from properly handled fresh dough. Nothing felt heavy or muddled, which is no small feat in a multi course pasta progression. The mushroom tortellini in brodo was beautifully restrained. The broth had deep umami from the mushroom parmesan base, yet remained clean and structured, allowing the delicate tortellini filling and chestnut mushrooms to shine. The truffled Alfredo could have easily gone overboard, but the richness was controlled, silky, properly emulsified, and well seasoned, with the truffle supporting rather than overwhelming the dish. The lobster ravioli was another technically strong plate. The pasta was thin and tender, the filling sweet and delicate, and the crab fat sauce added depth while the ginger Calabrian soffritto brought a subtle lift of heat and brightness that kept the dish from feeling too rich. The short rib rotolo delivered deep, slow cooked savoriness, balanced nicely by the ricotta and the earthy luxury of the truffle fonduta. What really made the dish stand out for me were the crispy edges on the pasta, which added a beautiful textural contrast to the tender filling. For dessert, we enjoyed the tasting menu dessert and also added the cornflake French toast. The French toast completely wowed us. Texturally, it was outstanding, crisp exterior, custardy interior, and that nostalgic cornflake crunch elevated into something refined. It had richness, sweetness, and contrast in all the right ways, and ended up being my favorite of the two desserts. Overall, this is how you do a pasta focused tasting menu with finesse, strong technique, thoughtful balance, and flavors that feel indulgent without becoming heavy. In its category, this was a 5 star experience for me, and I would absolutely come back.
