Don't believe the negative reviews. I've visited this establishment when it used to be Che Tano and they've always had superb Argentinean beef, excellent wine and the service has always been super good. I've used several Groupons to attend their new location as Los Tanitos and always had a positive experience. I'm actually buying another Groupon to take my daughters to dinner for their birthdays next week! KUDOS to Che Tano! VIVA ARGENTINA! read more

Great service good food. First thing I noticed ....it is very clean...Gordan Ramsey would not have a temper tantrum. Food pretty good well worth the Groupon experience....I will come back! read more

Sooo good! Amazing food (steak was very flavorful!) and service. We were so full by the end, but took home pastries because they looked delicious, and we just wished we had taken home more! Will definitely be coming back next time we're in town. read more

Not happy at all. I buy a Groupon that was good for diner for four people went you go there and tell them that you going to use your Groupon they said that only you can use in certain plates also they price you food in order to make you to paid more at the restaurant. Also the food was terrible read more

The Groupon this place offers doesn't even make it worth it. I wouldn't eat here again if they paid me to. The service is absolutely horrible. We went on a Friday night with the Groupon for 4 people. Upon being seated I overheard the 3 tables around us also using a Groupon. When our waitress came to take our order and realized we were paying with a groupon her attitude immediately changed and she had a sour face. I'm not even going to complain about the limited choices. But if the voucher says 4 glasses of wine included and 1 person in the party is a minor, and I ASKED for it to be given to me, it should be no problem right? Well I paid for a glass that I never got. We're given a basket of bread while we wait, And we are under the impression this is complimentary. When the app comes that we ordered, it's a melted cheese dish. We ask for more bread to eat with the cheese. The waitress suddenly becomes irate and snaps at us saying tables are only offered ONE basket of bread but FINE! she'll bring another. This is the last time we see her because she has decided she does not want to deal with us and tells one of her co workers to take over our table. Thank god because the second waitress was not a frigid b*tch as the first. However we still had to ask for chimi sauce, dressing for the bone dry salad, and a refill on the soda we ordered separately. Despite all this , I defied their expectations and tipped on the original amount of the bill because I'm not a dick and reciprocating rudeness withe rudeness is one of the grand problems we as people face, break the cycle baby! Upon reading other reviews here the shitastic service is a common occurance. I'm fortunate to not have encountered the owner who is described as someone who sounds like Mussolini. If he were to speak to me the way he's spoken to other customers I would have flipped a table in there faster than a New Jersery housewife. read more

The empanadas were reheated in the Microwave.. bad bad bad, I ask for a Churrasco mediun cook and was super well done and like half of the portion were served a very small piece of the churrasco served with bake patatoes ( ofcourse the patatoes were reheated at the Microwave) asking to much money for that tiny piece.. I wont come back... read more

If I could give it half a star I would. So went with a groupon. They didn't honor what the groupon said. I was stuck ordering the same plate for both of us. The food was ....... I'll leave it at that. The one good thing that deserves a start was their sweet potatoes fries. Nice and crunchy. Regular fries were soggy. The baked potatoes was something to chuckle about. Was half of a potato cut in 3 pieces. Then thought I could maybe save dinner with a dessert.... WRONG! Seems that desserts have been sitting there for ages, got a hard stale piece of cake. Disappointing isn't even the word. The waitress was nice but could resolve nothing. When I asked for a manager, she gave me a look, as if saying "good luck with that". Just bad all over. Good thing I've had good Argentinian food and don't judge it by this mediocre experience. read more

I have to say that this is one of our local restaurants in the area and they were so kind enough not only to be open and for service but they also provided us with free ice in case we needed it besides the outstanding service and quality I appreciate everything that they're doing for the community in this time of need check out their food you will love it and you will be a patron always thank you so much. Definitely one of the best restaurants in West Kendall and especially in times like these they stepped up to the plate and continue to help all of us thank you thank you thank you read more

This place was the absolute worst place that I have ever eaten at. I mean I eat out every day of my life. It took 20 mins to get bread. I had purchased a Groupon which at the end they did not accept. The food was cold and then we found hair in our food. I can continue on for a while but the 1 thing I can tell u is the make the same mistake i made. I'd rather have gone to BK DOWN THE STREET!!! read more

Food was OK, however we did not feel welcome at all, very indifferent, unsmiling service for lunch, perhaps it's better at dinner or with other servers but we left very unsatisfied. read more

Second time coming here and would recommend it 100 times over. The food is delicious, casual atmosphere, and friendly staff. Gaby was our waitress and she is PHENOMENAL! Extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful! read more

Los Tanitos is one of my favorite places for breakfast, lunch or dinner... seriously they never disappoint. Not only is the service always wonderful the food is cooked to perfection. Anything from the fried spinach empanadas to the churrasco with batata. This family owned business is a must if you're looking for delicious and authentic Argentine food!! Also make sure and order the cafe con leche with dessert!! read more

We went with a Groupon, service was OK, food was good, the groupon offer is 2 entrees & 2 glasses of wine, we did not appreciated to be informed, there was no menu choice, we were limited to the 'Vacio Stake' we feel it is deceiving advertising, by the way it was good and it was our intention to dine on meat, but I don't like options taken away by surprise. read more

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a fan of steak or red meats but I'll try to not be biased. I came to this restaurant with three other people because someone had bought a groupon. We told the waitress and her attitude did not change, she was pleasant throughout. They brought bread, and asked what wine? We only got one glass of wine and we switched the other three for sodas. When they asked what we wanted to eat, the waitress only gave us three options. Steak, steak, or chicken. I ordered the chicken and it tasted good. Although the groupon states that there is no restrictions, the waitress only gave us those options. We ordered dessert (separately) and they were frozen and sticky and not that great. Overall, I would not come here again because I'm not a fan of meat and I could go to other places that I'm more familiar with. I would suggest you come here if you want to see what it's like for yourself. It's whatever really. read more

First time here. We like our meat on the grill. This was definitely not quality or tasteful meat. There were four in our party and each one of us were disappointed with our meal. The meat and mashed potatoes were tasteless, not fresh. The rice tasted old and hard. The desserts tasted as from a box and not fresh. I was kind of concerned when we walked in on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was empty ; definitely won't be returning ! read more

My family has been coming here for years for their market. I went there recently to buy some vainillas (Argentinean name for ladyfingers), but I couldn't find on the shelves. I asked an employee if they had any backstock, she looked at me begrudgingly. She had no idea what I was talking about, even if I spoke to her in English, and told me to go ask another employee, who didn't know what That meant either. A third employee just told me they "didn't have anything" as she walked away. I kind of had to chase her to ask her if she knew when it would be back in stock, unsurprisingly she didn't know. Their current employees have 0 care for appropriate customer service and undoubtedly have no idea about the products they often sell. I went to Puerto Madero (another Argentinean restaurant/market) and found what I was looking for. the employees there are so friendly and helpful, even if you don't sit down to eat. Overall, I won't be returning toLos Tanitos and my family won't either. read more

I've read some negative reviews but I am giving this a five star because the place is very nice and homey, the food was delicious and service was very nice. I went there with a groupon and had no issues. My groupon was for 2 churasco dinners and 2 wines. The steak was cooked perfectly and so were the sides.the wine is home quality but not bad at all. I liked it so much I just bought another groupon. read more

I'm going to start this review by stating this is my first review I've ever written. I do not write or read reviews because I like to form my own opinion based on my experience. But after this experience I have to write a review about this restaurant. By far the worst experience I've ever had while having dinner. My wife and I ordered the angus T-bone steak. I ordered mine medium and my wife ordered hers well done. My wife's steak was cooked medium and mine well done. My wife's sides were rice and baked potato bites I had steamed vegetables with the baked potato bites. My vegetables were not fresh. They came straight out of a frozen bag you buy at a supermarket. My wife's rice had pieces of onion in it. My wife does not like onions so she asked to have it changed for mashed potatoes and to have her steak cooked well done. When my wife gets her food back the potatoes were instant potatoes once again not freshly made and her steak was overly cooked well done. Also the service was horrible. The server never came by to ask us if I wanted a refill on my water or ask us how are things going. As I'm waiting for our server to bring us our check I noticed that all the other tables had glass bottles of water and regular size glass. We got smaller glass that you use to serve whiskey in. I tried getting our servers attention on several occasions she never looked our way. So will I recommended this place to anybody I will have to say NO. I just wish I can get my money back and erase the experience for my memory. I'm putting 1 star because I have to. read more

WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER!!!! First of all, they are rude !!! No one speaks english there so they ALWAYS mess up the order.. And their food is not that good.. Very basic food and WORST MANAGEMENT!!! I do not recomend read more

I just had dinner here using a Groupon. I had the Churrasco steak (vacio). It tasted horrible. Salt and pepper is really all you need. How can you mess up Churrasco? I had sweet potato for a side, it also had a bad taste. The dessert was ok - looked better than it tasted. I had been here a few years ago and everything was much better. Not going back. read more

Not only is the food delicious but the customer service is great. Priced very well considering the quality given. (great quality) Their parillada that comes with sausage, meat, chicken, etc was cooked to perfection. Few tables but just enough. Their empanadas and pastries are delightful. Definitely recommend this restaurant read more

Went there with a group on, horrible experience. Had to leave because restaurant changed the rules and said that we had to eat a specific dish. I told them that the group on did not have a restriction, the person in charge didn't do anything. Had to complain to group on and they refunded my payment. read more

Had the unfortunate experience of visiting this restaurant on a groupon. We were shown a table and we promptly asked for a high chair for our grandson. there was one high chair in use, (this restaurant apparently has only two). after waiting about 10 minutes another family shows up and immediately gets he second high chair. This restaurant is not getting our business no matter how good the food might be. I give this restaurant one negative star for the terrible service. read more

I felt like a good churrasco and some malbec. I thought about going to Los Ranchos or maybe Graziano's but decided to try out Los Tanitos. I was skeptical at first due to the few negative reviews here but decided to give it a go anyway. This place used to be called Chetano on Kendall Dr. and that place wasn't bad. So we (I have a rather large family) ordered empanandas, churrascos, mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, salad and I got my malbec. The service was excellent and the food was great. One of the reviews was negative on the empanadas and I can't understand why. they were excellent. The steak was great and the chimichurri sauce was awesome. The only thing that I would suggest is that they expand the sides that can be ordered with the steak. Maybe some more veggie sides and black/red beans with rice. Now don't go to this restaurant thinking that it will be real fine dining. It is what I call a great neighborhood restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. They have a small market with food, wine, etc and deli/butcher section. I thought it was excellent and I will definitely be going back. read more
