Location isn't the best, as it is a crowded little strip mall that has been under renovations for a long time and parking here is always a mission. It's not a restaurant per se, it's like a little market that happens to also cook some dishes. That being said, service was good both times I've visited, so has the food! We usually get the gyro platter or gyro. All of the food here is very flavorful and authentic. Last visit got some baklava to try it with pistachio dust on top and it was heavenly! I stumbled across Al Basha when I was actually looking to have lunch at a different spot next door. A sign on the door said they had gyro's and I decided to try it out instead. The place is a Middle Eastern super market with a few authentic items for purchase. I wouldn't know how to cook any of it (I'm cuban and basically make rice with every meal) but I would imagine this is helpful for those looking to cook authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine. Towards the back is a small area where you can purchase foods like kibbeh, taboule, gyro, etc. I was disappointed to see that some of the food was being heated up for another guest by a microwave in front of his face but the man didn't seem to mind as he seemed like a regular and ordered 3 platters. The man that assisted me was extremely nice and helpful! I asked for a lamb gyro. Luckily for me, my lamb was cooked on a grill and he put the gyro together in front of me, adding tons of toppings. I got back to work to have my gyro and the explosion of taste was INCREDIBLE. I wish it was bigger so that I could have eaten more! I had never heard of this hole-in-the-wall family owned place until I was in the neighborhood and in the mood for middle eastern food and searched on Yelp for something closer than my usual spots. Very large menu, and they have a complete mini-mart with goodies to buy as well, desserts, canned items, etc. food was served quickly, very reasonably priced and delicious. Loved it and would recommend. If I'm in the area I would definitely come back. Can you believe this restaurant has been around for 21 years?! I've been passing by this shopping plaza for yearssssss and have never noticed it till I walked into the Subway next door. Instantly caught my eye with the gyro window advertisement. I'm sorry but when you walk into a Mediterranean/Arabic location, you don't expect the staff to be speaking in Spanish to the cute little viejitos they were tending to. That's amazing! And the best part is that it seemed like the customers were regulars there because I had the viejito ask about the young guy (maybe part owner of the business) for his mom and how was she doing. I loved that! The customer service was spectacular. And although I didn't get his name, but the gentleman had long hair in a pony tail and light eyes. He was suggested the kibbeh combo and since I had never tried it, I gave it a shot. DE-LI-CIOUS!! Everything is made in house. The food had great flavor. I love in Doral and this is almost the closest one to us. It has a good variety of middle eastern goods. I went to buY semolina flour, needed the fine and coarse kind and found them both. Ive been a few times and I've always enjoyed the food. I don't know the name of most things so I will describe them to the best of my abilities. The almond rice and the lentil rice, always a great choice. Their lentil soup is also yummy. The hummus (both creams) are yummy, I get those with the pita and top it off with the salad they have which contains tomato/cilantro etc. They have some wrapped rolly thingies that I don't love, but my husband really likes them. This place is great! No frills and fluff, just authentically delicious food, a selection of Middle Eastern and Greek groceries, hookahs, and kind people. We did take out, but there are tables inside if you choose to dine in. Everything is neat and clean as well. We tried the trio platter (lamb, beef, and chicken skewers, rice, pita bread, baba ghanouj, and tabouleh salad), the Greek gyro sandwich, and namoura. The skewers were so yummy and cooked to order! The baba ghanouj was wonderfully smoky and creamy. The tabouleh salad was light and fresh. I typically do not eat desserts, but decided to give the namoura a taste. It was VERY sweet, but had a nice rose and almond flavor with an almost cornbread-like texture from the semolina flour. Will definitely be back to try more from the menu! read more

There's not a wide assortment as you would expect in a supermarket, but they have enough specialty items to allow for me to make Lebanese dishes at home. They also make some Lebanese staples in-house like shawarma, kibbeh, etc. I'm not rating this place high because of its distance from where I am, but there are other markets closer to me. I was craving a Mediterranean meal with some hungry friends looking to eat lunch and stumbled upon this place based on its great reviews. So glad we decided to go because it was a delicious experience at insanely low prices. This food spot is in the back of an international market that also sells authentic Mediterranean cooking ingredients. My two friends and I were the only people there which ended up feeling very homey as their staff was warmly attentive and open to explaining menu items we hadn't heard of. We ordered the Baba Ghanouj (roasted eggplant dip) as an appetizer and ended up finishing off every bit with a spoon when we ran out of pita because it was that good. For lunch I ordered the El Basha Combo Platter which included kibbeh (small stuffed meat pies), grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanouj and tabouleh for a whopping $8, being the most expensive lunch menu item. The food is made immediately and is noticeably fresh. My friends also ordered lunch combo platters---the shawarma platter and the chicken shawarma platter, both were perfect.
