we staying in a hotel in the area, i went there for lunch, i ordered chicken kebob in a pita to go, i paid and i went back out to watch my dog. i came back inside after 12 minutes. the girl at the front said that my card didn't go through, i told her that i saw that it did go through, she said that i have to pay again, i couldn't log on my acct. at the location so i went back to the hotel had a slice of pizza. went to the room and logged on the acct. and brought a picture of the charge that came out of the account went back to pita fresh and showed it to her, the manager pulled a bag of food that was cooked 2 hours before and said ok, you can have it. i said no thanx i already had lunch somewhere else. i just want my money back. he said he can't do that. When I first came to the restaurant, it was really good! 2023-24. But ever since in 2025, it has been mediocre. Each time I come, they are serving me with different utensils, wrapping etc...Nothing is consistent! And the food is going down a bit. At first, they would put a lot of food, but now everything has change. And I love Mediterranean food! I love their salad, rice pilaf, Shawarma etc..It's a shame. BEST LENTIL SOUP EVER. I wanna start by complimenting their food because it was so dam good. The Greek salad was fresh, perfect account of feta cheese, onions & olives. I'm actually going tomorrow for another order of lentil soup and Greek salad + a side of their peta bread. Now...their customer service is horrendous. The young lady that took my order had horrible attitude. Eyes rolling, attitude in the tone. Usually I wouldn't go back somewhere with bad customer service but that lentil soup was just THAT good. Picked up the Jerusalem Mix ( $20.99 w/ a total of $31.15 with tip) to go from this place on Feb 20th 2025 It consisted of lamb, chicken breast, and boneless thigh, all sautéed with onions and sauce. The beef shawarma wrap is delicious. I always ask for the spicy sauce on the side which really hits the spot. Nice spot for good Mediterranean food. Their menu offers a lot of options for a diverse palette. I went late at night and they were thankfully still open and opted for the chicken shawarma. There's no where to really sit so it was like picking up delivery. Luckily there was only one other person in the store so it wasn't much of a wait. The chicken shawarma wrap was pretty good and I would recommend if you need something quick and easy. They portions were definitely filling and satisfied my hunger. A small little shop in the same plaza as Jo-Ann's Fabric, TJ Maxx and Guitar Center, but tucked in on the side facing the side street. Like many mom-and-pop place, delicious food at a reasonable price. The grill is right there facing the customers, so you can see your meal being grilled and put together in front of you. They do a lot of take out business, but have a few small tables you can eat in. It's a busy plaza, but on the side they are located, parking spot is not too hard to find. read more

Pita Fresh has a very extensive menu with all the favorites, but I decided to play it safe and order the gyro pita sandwich and a side of stuffed grape leaves. The pita was served warm with delicious slices of lamb perfectly seasoned. It was topped with lettuce, olives and a special sauce. The grape leaves were also on point bursting with flavor. Excellent!!! I loved their food soooooo much. The kafta is a MUST PLEASE TRY IT!!! My favorite thing. We got the mix platter $18 and it was totally worth it for the good portion for two people. The chicken and steak skewer were amazing. The seasoning was on pint. The rice with almonds was delicious and the babaganouhh taste was great and fresh. There are only a few small tables but they seem to do a lot of take out business Both employees working there were very welcoming and super friendly. Pita Fresh has a large Middle Eastern Menu. We shared Tzatziki Dip to start. The plentiful portion of Dip was fresh tasting and had a nice flavor. My only issue is the pita served with this and with every dish is terrible. It tastes like paper thin cardboard. 14 year old ordered Beef Kabobs. The beef was excellent. Made before our eyes, the meat was succulent and juicy. It came with rice which was also good. I ordered the Falafel Salad. The falafel was also made fresh and was sizzling hot. The taste was a little sweet for me. The lettuce could have been more fresh. Parts of my salad and my son's side salad were brown. I really like aspects of Pita Fresh. It certainly lives up to the "fresh" part of its name. I love how the food is cooked fresh to order. Syrian food! Yes, this causal place is deceiving- because it looks like a tiny little falafel stand- and it is. But so much more, expertly prepared tabouli, hummus, grape leaves and more. We loved it. Ask for Anival the charming and talented Head Chef. He made my tabouli in front of us- ingredient by ingredient- I've never seen that before and it's worth the drive just to see a true artist like him at work. On entering, seemed a nice little takeout Syrian place with various pita sandwiches and platters. I ordered the falafel pita sandwich and a side salad. The falafel was pretty good, as was the pita. It had lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions along with sauce. The pita was warmed and slightly crispy. I didn't like the lettuce.... on both the sandwich and the salad it was very bitter. And, the tomatoes were slightly un-ripe. They also didn't remove the stem top from the tomatoes, so the unchewable bit took away from the experience of eating it. I ended up not eating much of the salad, and removed part of the tomatoes from the sandwich and salad. Also, I deal with an allergy to corn syrup, and was disappointed that the only beverage options with the lunch combo were canned sodas with corn syrup. I opted for a cup of water. They did give me a break on the price, which was nice. I was handed a cup and went to find the water and ice dispenser around the corner from the bathrooms. The dispensing unit has ventilation fans covered with thick dust, and rust running down by the ice outlet... it opted not to have any ice... just room temp water. They forgot to pack the hummus we ordered and paid for, so we can't speak to its quality. We will not return to try it, though, because there was HAIR in our food. And I'm not talking about one that may or may not have been our hair. It was small brown curly hairs that several of us (four adults together). found in different food items. Our meals came out quickly, all meats were juicy and well seasoned, and at high quality. Their garlic sauce was the BEST! The sandwiches were big and have a lot of depth to it, with the taste so authentic that you will actually think you are eating the real thing in the Middle East! Overall ambiance: average Experience: poor Review Of the Full Experience: How does it take something around one hour to make one gyro platter and one beef shawarma platter, you ask? well: From the moment we walked to dine-in [VERY hungry, I might add], to the moment we walked out with our now-take-out, something around an hour had passed. Why? well, because they took our order at 8:35 pm, but did NOT print the ticket until 9:09 pm, when I finally asked if our order was going to take much longer. That's a 34-minute delay JUST to get the order to the cook... and then we got home and, in addition, they had messed up mine... [We were planning to dine-in, but after such a long time, we just told them to pack it up to go] I believe this probably was their way of seeking payback in a passive-aggressive kind of way, but I do think you should never do that to a customer... But let's rewind, because for this to make sense, you need context: We got out of work-out. Tired. Hungry. Pain all over. Checked out Yelp for places nearby. The list was massive, but we chose Pita Fresh, which had pretty good reviews and was nearby. The place very small, so it was packed, there were two customers waiting for their orders, but everyone else is already eating, so the line was fast enough to order our food. We had a choice of two sides. I ordered a Shawarma plate with babaganoush and ASKED THE DEPENDANT if the order included pita bread or not. If it didn't, I'd order pita for the babaganoush, but if it did, I'd have liked a different side. He answers no, and adds a side of pita. My girlfriend, Mar, ordered a gyro platter with hummus and pita. Long story short: the platters include a pita, so we could've ordered something else. Since dinner is Mar's treat, I go find a table while she pays... there was only one empty table, but there were no chairs. The cashier told me there were two outside, so I got out of the restaurant, grabbed them (yes, those next to the ashtray), got them into the restaurant... the cashier helped on this last part. Warning: look before you sit: I almost fell down when I sat because one of them was broken. By that time enough customers had left that I could get another chair. We sat at the table and waited for a while. The cashier called Mar to the counter and then he seemed to have forgotten why. She came back to the table, puzzled. We're already about ten minutes in. Another while passes. The cashier calls her again. She approaches the counter. I'll be the first to admit it sounds as if it could have been better handled: all I heard was her saying "why should I pay more for your mistake?" and the cashier explaining that he made a mistake and charged less than what he should. We are already hangry. The food is nowhere to be seen, and just now they realize the undercharged? So, she complaints and sits again. No other customer has received their order either, so we keep waiting. One. Then two costumers out with their stuff. They were there before us, we should be next. I'ts already been about 20-something minutes. And we wait... We ask them to change our dine-in order to take out... and we wait... and we wait... And then, another customer gets her order. Wait!, she came AFTER us. Now I stand up: "Hello!, is our order taking much longer?" Cashier: "no, it's already been prepared, it just has to be put in the boxes". He talks to the cook. The cook screams back at him. They both begin arguing loudly. I only speak Spanish and English, so I don't know what they're saying, but they are obviously angry. Midway through the argument, the cashier PRINTS the ticket and the cook STARTS preparing the food. We're around 45 minutes in, and the cashier offers us a free tiramisu with his apologies: says that's how "made to order" places guarantee their food is fresh (we didn't really buy the apology by then, specially, because the anger in his eyes was noticeable, though I don't know if directed toward the cook, or toward us, or toward himself for "forgetting" to print the ticket). We finally took our stuff and went home. Did I mention I ordered babaganoush? Well, both platters came with hummus. And one that, though wasn't bad, had way to much tahini in it. As I said, it also brought a pita, so our second side could've been anything else... but the pita it brought was UNDER the meat, so it was an inedible moist mush anyway. Both meats were fine, as were both un-needed side-dish pita portions. The tiramisu was a bit sweet, but overall the best thing they offered. This is not a place I will go again. I understand anyone makes a mistake (if that was the case), but this sounded to me more like petty revenge (me, personally, would've probably paid for the difference at the start, though I did not hear HOW the guy requested it, so maybe he deserved the "no"). They have the best gyro platters with 2 side, tons of meat, a pita and sauce. There kibbeh is delish as well as their gyros. I go here once or twice a month and they never disappoint. I just ordered a fatoush salad, which was really good, and he ordered baba ganoush, hummus, tabbouleh, grape leaves and falafel. I have to tell ya...this was the best I have ever had. The food was what you expect. Pita from a bag, brown lettuce, and rotisserie meat. The flavor was good but the price for what you get was off. $9.50 for a quote small gyro and $4.50 for a small paper bag of cold fries. I ordered the lamb gyro sandwich from Pita Fresh via GrubHub twice. In the picture on the menu, it shows that fries are included. I did not receive fries with a previous order. When I placed my order today I ordered the exact same thing as before but, this time on the special instructions, I asked to please include my order of fries on the side. When I received my food, once again my fries were not included. Of course I was upset but decided I would call them after eating because I didn't have much time left on my lunch break and I was starving. When I opened my gyro I saw that they had thrown 4 French fries inside of it! Pita Fresh, whether you include fries or not with your orders should be made clear on your menu.
