Delicious, extremely fresh, and very friendly owners! Sahara Grill is located right next to FIU, and new to this area so we decided to check it out! The owners explained the menu and all they had to offer, we ended up ordering the Beef shawarma with two baklavas on the side. Good amount of food for the price which was $15 a plate and well balanced with hummus, veggies, salad, rice, and meat. The modern and chic Middle Eastern decor felt refreshing. Highly recommend and we will most definitely be back to try some more! ^.^

I was craving falafel while in Miami visiting family and we found this spot close to where we were staying. What a lucky find! We were traveling with our dog so I ordered online and we sat at one of the two outside tables to eat our delicious food. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was going to be amazing because the smell alone was incredible. I got the bowl and the falafel was so flavorful, delightfully crispy on the outside and perfectly moist inside as it should be! We also got a side of fries and they were well-seasoned and excellent. The cherry on top was the staff! I was warmly greeted when I entered and everyone working there was friendly and professional. While we were sitting outside, one person came out and brought us a sample of house-made baba ghanoush, which was packed with flavor and so fresh. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in Miami!

This spot was absolutely delightful! The food was superb... tasty, fresh, all well done with great ingredients. From what I overhead it is all brought from Nazareth.

Finally checked out Sahara Grill and it did not disappoint. I've been eyeing this spot since the sign first went up, and I'm so glad it's finally open! Tried the falafel sandwich with tahini sauce and it was incredible--warm, fluffy pita with the perfect crunch, fully loaded with fresh toppings. The staff was super welcoming, and the gentleman at the counter took the time to explain the difference between the sandwich and the bowl, which helped me decide. The space is simple but clean, with a cozy little lounge area that adds a nice touch. My order took a bit longer than expected, but only because the family ahead had a big one--and I actually appreciate that everything is made fresh to order. Already planning my next visit!

I was looking for a place open late that wasn't a drive thru, and stumbled upon Sahara Grill, we came in at around 11:30pm and were greeted with kindness from the moment we walked in. The cashier walked us through the menu and was super friendly as well, I also loved that they had a bunch of different sauces to try in a little mini fridge by the soda machine. My chicken shawarma bowl was delicious, I'd come back anytime time

I was in Miami visiting family with my wife and our dog and found Sahara Grill conveniently near my parents' house. I got a falafel sandwich, my wife got a falafel bowl, and we got some fries to share. Everything was absolutely amazing!! The falafel was some of the best I've ever had. The pita was soft and fresh and all the extra veggies and sauces were so complementary to the meal. And whatever seasoning they put on those fries is incredible. I didn't go inside since we had our dog, but the staff came outside to check on us while we ate which was really nice. I appreciated the care they took into not only the food but also the service. My one very minor critique is that we asked for no pickles on my sandwich, but it came with pickles anyway. No big deal, I just took them out! But I hope Sahara Grill finds much success and we'll definitely be back when we're in Miami again.

I'm not sure what was better here: the goo or the service! What a pleasant surprise! We came across this place while planning to have lunch somewhere else in the shopping center and we are so glad we came in. Everything is fresh. Quality is great and service is exceptional! Everything we tried was DELICIOUS! Highly recommended.

Food, service, and ambiance was great. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our food was exactly what we wanted and they exceeded my expectations on every level. The portions and quality of the food was amazing. Try the Knafeh. You'll thank me.

New Palestinian-owned restaurant in Miami, Sahara. Owners are from Nazareth in 1948 Palestine. Classic menu of bowls and sandwiches including beef and chicken Shawarma bowls, filet .ignong kebab skewers, falafel, kibbeh, falafel sandwich, beef Shawarma, sahara cheesy chicken sandwich, and Panther crispy chicken baguette named after the Florida Panthers. Located near FIU. The owner and everyone there are very friendly. The food is fresh and cooked right in front of you on the grill I ordered the sahara cheesy chicken sandwich which is something I haven't seen at Arab restaurants. It was delicious. The fries are delicious with tahini parsley and garlic sauce. Ill be back to try more of their delicious food.

The food is some of the best in Miami! The staff has super helpful and nice! The service is a bit slow but the food is fresh and so worth it. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables. You get an FIU discount if you show your ID as well!

Stumbled upon this location one late night working in Miami and they did not disappoint. Everyone was super welcoming and they even encourage you to stay and enjoy the space they've created if you have the time. They are family owned and operated and you can absolutely tell by how smoothly they operate and the love and care put into the food . Everything is delicious well seasoned and flavorful. I love experiencing cultural dishes and they absolutely used a little bit of home in these meals . The bowls were packed and every bite had me wanting more. The falafel was so crispy and the best part was watching everything be made and put together as we waited. It's all made fresh, so be patient when you order. They will check on you while you wait and trust me, it's worth it !

The staff is very friendly. Food is delicious. Beef Shawarma Sandwich was amazing. 1st time eating at Sahara and definitely coming back.

    Mixed Shawarma beef and chicken

I had the shawarma pita with chicken and beef. It was off the chain and good sized portion. The guys working there are awesome and very helpful with decision-making. I'll definitely be back.

Kibbeh and the Beef Shawarma (I think that was the name) the owners daughter called it the sushi.

The whipped feta dish was bright, fresh, and packed with flavor, while the zucchini chips were perfectly cooked they were light, crisp, and addictive. My daughter ordered the non-alcoholic dragon fruit "martini" and absolutely loved it. It was tropical, refreshing, and felt like a special treat. I went with the white sangria. It tasted a little more watered down than I expected, but it was still refreshing and enjoyable on a warm Miami afternoon. The service was excellent throughout our visit, and the atmosphere alone makes this place worth a stop. Even after paying, the staff continued to make sure we had water and asked if we needed anything else. This small gesture meant a lot. Sufrat has a great happy hour menu that ends at 6 PM. I tried the Moroccan Mojito, which was so refreshing. To eat, we tried the Shawarma Sushi and $1 chicken wing. The Shawarma Sushi name can be a bit misleading. It a wrap that was cut in form of sushi. It was good. I was hesitant about ordering chicken wings but I'm so glad we did because they were so delicious and crispy. They may have been the best chicken wing I've had. The service was excellent. I accidentally dropped my cocktail and they immediately cleaned it up and moved us to another clean table. I apologized for dropping it but not once did they made me feel bad about it. Instead, one of the staff stated it was an indication of having a great time. They also replaced my drink at no extra cost. A guy, who I assumed was the manager or owner, also passed by our table and ensured we were enjoying our time. Our server mistakenly brought me the wrong drink that I ordered, but I did not mind it because I actually loved the Moroccan Mojito and instead ordered another one. I also loved how they have copper cups because it makes water taste so much better. Their attention to small details like that makes the difference. We ordered the beef kabobs, which were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the ribeye steak was a major disappointment. We ordered it medium well, but it came out extremely overcooked, dry, and tough, with hard charred pieces on the outside. It was clear that steak is probably not their specialty. That said, we would still recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, service, and many of the other menu items -- just skip the steaks.

For context, I worked in fine dining in New York and Miami for almost 20 years, so I notice the details immediately, hospitality, management presence, the energy of a room. You can usually tell pretty quickly what kind of operation you're dealing with. We were a party of five. I arrived with my four-year-old son and was greeted warmly by the hostess. That warmth ended instantly. Standing directly behind her were two managers in suits blocking the main entrance. Both looked straight at me and my child and said absolutely nothing. No hello, no smile, no acknowledgment. Anyone in hospitality knows that moment sets the tone. As an Arab woman who grew up around a culture where hospitality is everything, it was already a bad sign. We were seated outside and the vibe stayed cold. Unfortunately, the food matched it. We ordered a lot because I genuinely wanted to give the kitchen a fair shot. I grew up eating Lebanese food and what stood out most was the lack of soul. Everything felt flat, like it needed salt, lemon, brightness, that warm Mediterranean seasoning Lebanese food is known for. The tabouli was especially shocking. A $20+ tabouli with no bulgur that was so roughly chopped it was basically whole parsley leaves and slices of onion. Any Lebanese auntie would die at the sight of it. At one point I asked our server if they had harissa or any kind of spicy sauce. She said the only option was Sriracha. In a Lebanese restaurant that charges $18 for a tablespoon of hummus. An Asian chili sauce as the only option. What made it even stranger is that harissa is listed on multiple dishes on the menu, so it clearly exists somewhere in the building. I asked for the Sriracha anyway out of desperation for flavor. It never came. Same with ketchup for my toddler's fries, it took three requests. Throughout the meal I walked around the restaurant several times taking my son to the bathroom, looking around the space, even going upstairs to the lounge. Not a single person acknowledged us. Not a host, not a server, not a manager. The bar is right by the entrance and every time we looked over at the bartender and bar manager, just blank stares. At one point we were clearly standing there confused looking for the bathroom in an empty restaurant and still had to say "Excuse me, where is the bathroom?" Wild. Later I walked up to the bar myself to ask if they carried mezcal. After dinner I went back to order one. Same energy--zero warmth, zero engagement. And this is with an automatic 20% gratuity already on the bill. The mezcal was a $25 two-ounce pour and I still had to ask for an orange slice garnish because no one offered it. Empty bar, two people behind it, and I still had to request it. Also worth noting, our reservation was at 5:45pm and the restaurant was practically empty. Yet I didn't see a single manager walking the floor, greeting tables, or checking on guests. I had talked this place up to my party because I'd been so curious about it for years, and it was honestly a huge letdown. If you know Lebanese food and understand Middle Eastern warmth and hospitality, this probably isn't the place for you. Expect cold, almost nonexistent hospitality and food that feels stripped of the soul that makes Lebanese cuisine special. The space is beautiful. I'll give them that. Everything else felt like a very on-brand Miami disappointment, what happens when you give people a beautiful restaurant, expensive food, automatic gratuity, and no leadership. From the lack of authenticity and attention to detail, it's hard to believe anyone truly Lebanese is behind this operation. If anything, it feels more like a polished money grab. Honestly, it might have been less jarring if they just called themselves "Mediterranean" like so many other places in this city. But if you're going to call yourself a Lebanese restaurant, the culture and hospitality should actually be there.
