Kibbe, falafel, tabouli salad, hummus and of course their name ...Shawarmas. Shawarma is a pita bread wrapped sandwich with meat, lamb or chicken. They are delicious. It is definitely a must order item. Even though Shawarma has some great meat dishes, I personally love coming here for the vegetarian options. The tabbouleh is fresh, crunchy, and salty. Have a pita with falafel and load it up with toppings. As far as the vegetarian platters go, the only thing that falls short for me are the grape leaves. They're a nice size for snacking, but the taste isn't the best I've had; they're not bad, they just aren't the best either. There are lots of middle eastern desserts available, including lots made with honey and pistachios. Shawarma stands out in Kendall, because it's a different kind of cuisine than what typically dominates the market around here. I like to come by for some takeout every few months and I enjoy it every time. There are also plenty of seats inside. It does have seating inside and after COVID they did set up some outdoor as well. This place is economical, good quality, and overall delicious. Small and casual, a fast food alternative. Our food was brought out quickly. Price is just right and you have enough for two servings. I could probably just order the chicken to go, on any day. It was perfectly seasoned, It isn't on a pincho as you'd expect Chicken Kebab but you can live with it. Your stomach will thank you after! I love small "hole-in-the-wall" establishments, so I was excited to give Shawarma a try. Our experience however was less than memorable and we probably won't be coming back. I visited Shawarma with my mom on a weekday evening. It's a small place that became increasingly busy with what seemed to be "regulars". That should be a good sign, right? After an extensive look at the menu, my mom and I both decided to order Chicken Shawarma wraps, along with a small order of hummus and a falafel appetizer. I asked if we could please get our hummus first before the rest of our food was ready, she said definitely. However, that request was ignored as we ended up getting all of our food together. The pita that came with the hummus was cold, stale, and hard. While the hummus was good, the pita was so disappointing. Additionally, our wrap was described on the menu as having chicken "with herbs and spices....lettuce, tomato, and pickles". Well, we were left wondering where those "herbs and spices" were as the wrap was significantly bland. Besides the lack of "herbs and spices", they forgot to include the pickles in both our wraps and the chicken was very dry. I did however really enjoy the falafel. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. I ended up putting a piece of falafel inside my chicken wrap since the wrap was tasteless, and that made my wrap better. Shawarma is a charming, humble, home-y type of place. Although we didn't care for the food besides the falafel, I did enjoy the place itself. Unfortunately, that's not enough to bring us back to Shawarma anytime soon. read more

The aroma of the spices tingled my taste buds.The kibbe came with two and the falafel were three pieces which was more then enough. They both had the perfect crunch with a steamy inside. It was really tasty. The baba ghanouj was good but I took out the olives just because it made it saltier then I would like, but I do like olives. Popped those suckers in my mouth after i was done. I couldn't finish it all but it was the perfect portion. And I really enjoyed warming it up the next morning and finishing off.
