Los Tacos - Mexican Near Me - Temecula, California

I don't know why a lot of reviewers are complaining about the inside or the way the place looks. Los Tacos is exactly what I think about when thinking tacos. The food is absolutely amazing and would recommend to anyone. The way the place looks is no consequence to me I go for the food not the atmosphere especially when I just want to eat a delicious burrito or have some bomb ceviche! If you want a nice fancy place to eat a $20 taco with substandard flavors go somewhere else. If you want to have a amazing food then I definitely suggest you go to Los Tacos. read more

Los tacos offers delicious authentic Mexican food with generous portions. When ordering takeout, food is always ready on time. We love it!

Stood there at the register for 12 minutes waiting to order. (With no one in front of me) They are completely unorganized. I can't wait 20 minutes for fast food. read more

We'll be coming back for sure! Temecula can be quite pricey due really good quality food in this town but if you want fresh, tasty tacos without emptying your wallet then this is the place to go. Seriously yummy tacos especially the al pastor and carnitas! read more

Los Tacos is a hidden gem in Temecula. We eat here all the time. Great Mexican food. If you are looking for a great authentic Mexican this is the place to go. read more

I ordered delivery (a veggie burrito) and I got 4 birria tacos instead, I don't even eat meat. What am I supposed to eat now???

Great food when it comes to the tacos. Especially the Al Pastor tacos. 4 stars because the beans and rice is disgusting! Not once but twice I order it thinking maybe I got a bad batch .... nope it's really bad! No flavor in the beans, and the rice is dry! Now back to the tacos.. again tacos are amazing.. burritos are okay.. I mainly come only for the tacos only. They remind me of the tacos I grew up with when I went to Tijuana to visit family. read more

Tiny over priced tacos, with more onions than meat. Al pastor was burnt. Salsas needed more flavor and salt. Looks like a real taqueria but falls far short of it. Service is slow and the food is brought out in sections, someone in your party will be watching everyone else eat. read more

Love eating here, they have an open kitchen where you can watch them make your food right in front of you. The people are so nice, make you feel like your right at home. I personally love the carne asada tacos and al pastor tacos, great authentic Mexican food at a very reasonable price!!! read more

Yoooooo this place fire Bomb Mexican food. Great ambiance. Clean and the foooooood is so freshhhhh. A little pricey relative to others but it is worth the quality. read more

The tacos were bland. The lady at the register wore the mask under her nose. When I got there, the place was busy. She told me that my order wasn't ready yet so I waited there for half an hour. It turned out that my order was ready since I got there but she didn't bother to check it. Horrible service. Obviously the restaurant needs to hire more people read more

Five stars for 1) delicious food 2) amazing staff 3) great location 4) variety of options and willingness to accommodate the customer. 5) clean We eat here.. ehhh... maybe 2/3 times a week and it feels like eating at a friend's home. We really love everything about this place. read more

I ordered a veggie burrito and asked for no beans. What I received was a massive tortilla with literally only a sliver of fajita veggies in it. They took out everything else. My partner ordered a breakfast burrito and specifically asked for no meat and the first bite he took of the burrito was a mouthful of bacon. Make sure you physically double check your order when you order food from here, they are sure to get the order wrong. read more

This is for their taco Tuesday specials, which is $1.50 for their basic tacos (carne asada, carnitas, pollo asada, pastor), which are not basic at all when it comes to size and flavor. Their corn tortillas are made right in front of you, they don't skip on the meat portions, tacos come with pico and guac, and they have a decent salsa bar with freshly made salsas. I definitely recommend anyone giving them a try for their taco Tuesday specials (I believe it starts at 5pm). read more

One of the few places I can get real TJ tacos and I uave looked at many locations. I had "el pastor" tacos ,they are spiced pork not hot but it has a lot of spices and it's delicious. I will be coming back with all my friends. The camoron diabla anything is great too. read more

Came here with my boyfriend today. The food was AMAZING, FRESH, TOP QUALITY. The most amazing carnitas tacos I've ever had. The carnitas literally melts in your mouth and they make their tortillas from scratch! Nachos were sooo good and fresh. They make their own tortilla chips too! The staff was very nice the girl who helped us was very sweet. Love the vibe of the restaurant! My boyfriend was very impressed with their food. We live in Palm Springs and he said we are going to have to make weekly trips and agreed. This place is a must check out spot! read more

I visited here for the 1st time with my Grand Daughter on 4/19/2019. I had El Pastor tacos for the 1st time and they were Absolutely Delicious! So Good that I had my husband go get and bring some home 2 days later for lunch. The people who work there are All So Extremely Helpful, Polite, Professional and Just So Very Nice! I'm happy to have found a soft taco place that I Really Do Love their tacos. All the others I've tried at other places in Temecula are just ok or not at all good. I plan on taking my sister there for lunch today. I'm looking forward to coming back. Thank You, Sherri read more

The carne asada fries were not as good as most places but the tacos were great. I would go back but would skip the fries

I was out looking for a good breakfast burrito and went on yelp to find a place.. came across this place and I'm so glad I came here!! The breakfast burrito was AMAZING!!! I got the classic with bacon this time and I will definitely be back to try another one! read more

I went here last Saturday with my wife and eight year old son. My wife ordered a variety of street tacos, my son got a bean burrito and I got the shrimp diablo burrito. The place is very small and a bit tight, but the kitchen is open and you can see the cook working. We got our food pretty fast and and it was hot. Who wants cold Mexican food? My wife's tacos were pretty good. The carne asada was a little over cooked/dry but the others were good. My little son's burrito was like a torpedo - he couldn't even finish it. The shrimp diablo burrito was epic... hot, intensely flavored and full of freshness. It was VERY spicy in the best way and the tortilla was so soft and flavorful. This was my first time, so I cannot tell about everything but I am going back for sure. read more

Had to go due to good reviews. Went on Taco Tues but were disappointed to not get any good deals. Ordered an El Pastor Taco for $2.45 each. Hubs ordered same. No BOGO, that's for sure. Nice assortment of hot sauces and some condiments. Got our tacos and sat down to enjoy. So small! The Taco was a street taco that hubs ate in 2 bites. The guacamole sauce was scanty and watered down. The pics in reviews are more impressive than what we got in real life. For $2.45, expected a bigger one. I will say the tortilla was freshly made and the taste was there but the size vs price was a let down, mostly on a taco Tuesday. read more

We were in need of a light lunch before trying a few wineries in the area. Found Los Tacos on Yelp. It didn't disappoint! Tacos, especially the carnitas and chorizo tacos, were excellent. Loved the handmade tortillas! read more

Been meaning to write a review for awhile now. We love this place! Absolutely the best food around. If I had one complaint is that it's a little small and gets busy, but we just go early to beat the rush! Try the Genghis Nhan burrito! You won't be disappointed. read more

I'm baffled! How did this highly praised restaurant disappoint us? Me and my cousins were looking for a good mexican restaurant to eat because our stomachs were rumbling. We went on the internet and found this mexican restaurant and its high reviews. We ordered almost every taco there was, even the cabesa and the lengua. We got our orders and were anticipating an authentic flavorful meal. Authentic? Please! It sure was authentic... authentically bad. Here is the list of our disappointments of the "real" street mexican food: - Meat was hard and not juicy. A few random globules of fat in our tacos. - Pinto beans, guacamole, carne asada were heavily underseasoned - Rice was nothing special - bland and boring, as usual - Get tired of the orange bang after a few sips - Lingua and cabesa had flavor - dishwater flavor - Too much cilantro. It seemed it and the onions were there to freshen up the otherwise bland and old tasting dish. The best things were the soda and the refried beans, so if you have a craving for those two, this is your place! If I could I would give this one and a half stars because of the refried beans and free refills. read more

I've been here ~6 times now. I really, really like their California burrito and breakfast burritos. They are flavorful, and I have not had a bad one yet. The two points off for the place are for their salsa bar, and for the service. The girl cashier is kind and knows what she is doing, but the guys behind the counter, for some reason, like to joke around a little more than I like. I have no problem with chefs having fun, but this is more like horseplay and mockery than just enjoying work. And since its in Spanish, its hard to know if its directed at you or not. The salsa bar is also pretty weak. First of all, you really can't trust the signs. I've had mild salsas that burned more than mediums, and hot salsas that were medium. But I've never gone wrong with the Chipotle salsa, which is always good. They also didn't have those spicy carrots I love so much. All in all, this is one of those "I hate to love this food so much" places. I don;t like the actual store, but its close by and affordable. I don't really trust the food, but its really good. I'd go to some of the competitors more, but their California Burritos aren't as good. read more

Absolutely love this place. Came here 2 years ago and got a Carne Asada breakfast burrito. So when I got invited to another wedding in Temecula the first thing I thought about was this place. I searched online to make sure it was still open. Everything is fresh and authentic and the portions are huge. Not to mention, the breakfast burritos have the perfect ratio of eggs, potatoes, meat, and cheese. I hate those places that overload on potatoes or eggs and only give you a small serving of meat. I wish I lived close so I could come here more often. They're extremely friendly too. It's literally everything a Mexican restaurant should be and more. read more

Really good food. I stop in after I get my hair cut and I'm never let down. Today I got the Dos Amors burrito and I now understand how one can become addicted to eating. I took the first bite and my eyes rolled into the back of my head from pure delicious pleasure. Definitely a dopamine drop from the ecstasy of flavor this burrito can deliver. I haven't tried everything they have to offer, but I look forward to it. Definitely give this place a shot. Ps this place is small so I don't recommend big parties. Order to go. it's so fresh that it's still piping hot when you get home if you live local. read more

Pretty ok taco place as far as the menu options go (including surf-n-turf- options) but the tacos weren't the greatest. It seems like a nice small family friendly restaurant in the center of a busy shopping plaza. We were at the Goodwill and were craving tacos, luckily this place was just a few doors down. The good thing is that they have beer options, along with a 2-4-1 happy hour special. We ordered 2 tacos, one chicken, and one shrimp, and an order of surf-n-turf fries, and two beers. The food was certainly filling, but the flavors were a little disappointing. It was in the middle of the afternoon, so it appeared to be a shift switch, which kept the staff a little preoccupied, not giving much attention to the guests. This is a major turn off for me when I am supporting ANY business. However, the young lady who took our order wasn't the friendliest as far as exceptional customer service goes, but she was at least nice. It wasn't a bad experience, but I probably wouldn't recommend as far as tacos or service. The most enjoyable thing in my opinion was the large screen televisions playing the football game. read more

I was on a mission to find a Mexican food place for a cousin visiting from out of state, and wanted authentic Mexican food. After trying to find another place on yelp to no avail, playing phone tag, and we were both driving 45 miles to meet each other, I stopped in the Kohls parking lot on accident. The good news was that there happened to be a Mexican restaurant so I phoned my cousin elated I found a Mexican food place. We met within minutes. The visit and chit chat with my cousin was great, but the food left a lot to be desired. We go in and I see the meat cooking on a spit and think this is going to be a great Mexican food place. Hardly. The service was lackluster. The waitress didn't seem too interested in us at the beginning, but was helpful in answering my cousin's questions about the menu. I was a little apprehensive to touch the menus at the register as they were sticky. My cousin lauded the super nachos plate for the amount of food she received. I chose the taco plate con tacos al pastor, de lengua, y carne asada. All of the meat came in little cut up cubes. It was actually hard to distinguish which taco was which. All of the tacos tasted dry and lacked real flavor, which was disappointing. I doused the tacos in some of their salsas from the salsa bar, which I hate to do. I believe truly great tacos don't need salsa. The beans and rice were boring and bland. The workers were very friendly in that they allowed both of us to stay an hour after they closed while they cleaned up, which was very appreciated since I hadn't seen my cousin in 3 years. read more

$38. That's how much I spent for four burnt pastor street tacos and five chicken street tacos, and disappointed is an understatement. The burnt pastor wasn't even something you could eat and maybe find a burnt piece here and there. But it was the whole damn taco, all of them. I've never been here before and I figured it be good because of the reviews but sadly it's just another overhyped restaurant. The only reason I'm giving them two stars instead of one was because my boyfriend thought his chicken tacos were decent. read more

We love Los Tacos and frequent at least once a week. Thanks for being delicious and consistent.

I've lived in Temecula for almost 30 years. I was here when Los Tacos opened up. I have since moved and it's been five years since eating there. I called in and ordered five Al Pastor street tacos and a coke. They charged me $18 and some change. The coke was the slim bottle coke. I asked for a small coke (fountain). There is no longer a salsa bar as you see in the picture. They give you two small containers of salsa. This place must be under new ownership. The fountain drinks were down, junk in front of the salsa bar and the customer service was awful. The Al Pastor had no taste with a lot of little pieces of tough meat. My dogs seem to enjoy it tho. They have lost a long-time customer for sure. No Bueno! read more

The chicken (pollo asada)tacos are soooooo bomb they put guacamole lettuce BOMB only Taco Shop I have been that puts lettuce on their tacos. First time trying I wanted to cry of how good they were. I willl for sure be coming again. I think I have to try the Carne asada and Apastor read more

Great authentic tacos really like this place. There's not a whole lot to choose from here in Temecula. Los tacos is definitely good.
