Although they're only open from 6am-3pm, this is absolutely a place you can't skip out on. They offer a great selection of breakfast and lunch options, plus a Greek menu that gives you even more to try. One of our favorite things is that they rotate different soups almost daily--there's always something new and comforting. The owner, Leo, and his entire staff are truly wonderful and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The cafe itself is small, cozy, and full of locals who clearly love being there--you can feel the happy, community vibe while dining. Redwood Cafe consistently goes above and beyond with customer service. I often bring my mother with me, and they genuinely treat people like family. We love this place so much that we try to stop by at least once a week. Thank you for the delicious paninis, amazing soups, and the great selection of desserts. We will absolutely continue supporting local businesses like Redwood Cafe!

Service was prompt, friendly and accommodating (they brought a cup of water for my bestie (see pic). There was an odd thing... they have you go inside to pay for your order, before you receive your food. Presume it's because they do take out. The server put a number on my table so food is delivered correctly. A good thing... the server repeated my order back to me with all the instructions for what was ordered and how it was to be prepared. I'd say this is a no frills cafe, serving a solid breakfast, served by prompt and courteous staff.

Right when I came in I just knew it was good and I got to ordering Parking is pretty open and convenient so it was easy to walk right over. I ordered on the kiosk which makes it easier and gives me more time to look at items. I kept it simple and got a strawberry lemonade which was very good and also in cute packaging. The interior of this place felt like I was in Dubai or something because of the gold and how fancy this place looks lol overall I love it and the music playing.

I don't say that lightly. I'll start with Arabic light roast coffee that was a golden color and infused with cardamom. It was exactly what I was looking for that day. It tasted great, and it gave me to pick me up. I needed for the rest of the afternoon. I have never seen coffee that color. It was delightful. As for the fatayer, it is basically the Yemeni version of an empanada. I am very much a savory breakfast person, so this was a special treat. The spices were amazing, and it was cooked to perfection. This is one of the items you can see in the display case that they warm up for you on the spot. There were also many desserts and other food options. I should also note that I ordered on a large tablet display, which included several different drink, and food options. Honestly, the menu was a little bit overwhelming given the number of choices, but it also makes me think that there is so much more that I need to try next time. I needed to get some work done, so I sa myself down on the very comfortable couch, which conveniently contained a Wi-Fi password stuck to the edge of the adjacent table. It was very chill, and if I didn't have an appointment to get you I certainly could've stayed there all day. I am excited to try some other things on the menu and continue to support this local business.

I was intrigued because they had Dutch crunch bread and as everyone knows, we all love that Dutch crunch! Unfortunately Marin doesn't have many places with Dutch crunch roll sandwiches, seems like sourdough is more popular on this side of the bridge. Finding the storefront wasn't too hard. It's located up a hill next to an urgent care. Parking was fairly easy in the structure. I ordered the Hot Chicken Club sandwich ($11.45) on Dutch crunch bread. To start, the bread was okay. Wasn't exactly crunchy but nothing like a quick oven bake at home can't fix. The sandwich lists- breaded chicken, bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce (romaine), tomato and chipotle aioli. I was sort of expecting the sandwich to have a bigger spice kick because of the "hot" in the name of the sandwich. It wasn't spicy at all unfortunately. I did appreciate that it was not over saucy and it was easy to handle the sandwich when eating. I was half expecting the breaded chicken to be crispy but it wasn't sadly. There was only 1 piece of bacon on the sandwich. The ratio of meat (chicken and bacon) to veggie (tomato and romaine) was fairly even. For the price and size, it was okay. It is a tad smaller than the sandwiches I've seen at other places like Michael's sourdough. The storefront was fairly large with lots of into and outdoor seating. The two people working seemed nice. Hopefully they have more influx of customers due to having urgent care nearby. Due to the location, I feel like not many people know about this place since it's not the easiest to get to if you don't have a car. Overall, I may come back and try another sandwich in the future if I'm nearby but wouldn't go out of my way for it.
