Highly recommend trying this Mexican seafood restaurant in the Cicero / Berwyn area of Chicagoland. Food: ***All the food here is remarkably beautifully presented on a plate*** Calamares Fritos - 4/5 - very good but not exceptional Caldo siete mares - 5/5 - best spicy seafood soup of the restaurant's selection because it features the most variety including the Dungeness crab legs are incredibly delicious Sopa de mariscos - 4.5/5 - second to best spicy seafood soup here Aguachiles verde - 5/5 - fresh, cured shrimp under lime juice and spicy green salsa ... this was beautifully presented Piña llena Nayarit style - 4.5/5 - extremely spicy to the point where little by little you get overwhelmed Piña llena Cora style - 4.5/5 - not as spicy as the Nayarit style but still decently spicy to give you a real kick Coctel Vuelve a la vida - 5/5 - delicious mixed seafood (shrimp, octopus, oyster) coctel Chapuzon dinner - 5/5 - very spicy mix of sautéed seafood served with side of fries, rice and salad Paella de mariscos - 4/5 - this is essentially the chapuzon spicy seafood style with saffron/paella rice Ambience: Decent sized; booth and table seating Service: Fast, friendly and super attentive

The food is delicious - the shrimp and octopus cooked to perfection smothered in a delicious spicy sauce that's the right amount of kick. The salsa for the chips it's a bit watery but the flavor is all at the bottom of the bowl with the pulp of the tomato and peppers. Don Julio Cantarito Deluxe is 32 ounces of excellence. Only disappointment is they were out of the mint for a coconut mojito. I was looking forward to trying theirs

Chilliques and huevos con chorizo. Pix doesn't do it justice. Yum!!!

Stopped in for a late breakfast on a Saturday. Restaurant busy, staff was friendly. We ordered chilliques and huevos con chorizo. Large portions. Fair pricing. Very good! Will definitely be back to try other menu items- seafood dishes looked amazing. Beverages looked fantastic as well. Check it out, you'll be glad you did!

Decent food but I could do without the blasting Mariachi music. Take out is a better option.

The restaurant has indoor seating and a patio that was really cute. We were treated like royalty. Our server was a joy! Our water glasses were regularly filled. We both started with cocktails that we enjoyed. They provide a focaccia bread with buttery olive oil and Parmesan spread that was yummy. We split multiple tapas to start. The scallops were outstanding. The flavor was delicious with a great texture. We also had the spicy potato and crab cake. Both were good portions for tapas. I enjoyed both. We then split the salmon dish special that was stuffed with shrimp. Perfection with spinach. We ordered the tiramisu and were given a complimentary passion fruit custard. I liked both equally. The tiramisu is made with a different type of soaked cookie and the passion fruit has an amazing flavor.

We got to try items that we had not had together before including the goat cheese and tomato sauce with the toasted bread. I personally loved the lamb which was very tender and fell off the bone. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They had a couple large groups that they were able to navigate with ease. They also provided a parting drink for everyone. Our Patas Bravas dish did come out a little late so we were not able to enjoy it as much since we were getting full, but it tasted heavenly with the dipping sauce. If you are in the area, please check them out!

Good prices with many selections even if you aren't into seafood including pasta and tacos. The only thing is the seafood needs to be cooked with a lil crab boil or seasoning for additional flavor on the actual crab, etc ... I had 2 bags.... 1-jumbo crab clusters (they actual look like regular snow crab) , 1lb. shrimp, 1/2 lb green mussels (beautiful size and plump), 2 regular crab clusters, and 1/2 lb crawfish. Most importantly you get corn and potatoes in your bag. A perfect amount of food even if you are not a huge eater. Great drink options also.

I enjoyed the pickles, good size, fresh each, breaded perfectly. Our entree consisted of garlic noodles, shrimp, snow crab, corn on the cob, and potatoes. We tried the crab da jour seasoning hott! I thought everything was delicious, plenty of shrimp, there was enough to take home, fresh, tasty food . Melrose park has a gem. Service was very good, attentive. Some customers will have an issue with the service fee included on their bills but I thought it was worth it. Definitely worth the trip

I knew about "Seafood Junction" because of a former co-worker's recommendation. I love seafood,…read moreand hubby and I were running errands nearby. Therefore, we concluded that it was an appropriate choice to stop in for an early dinner. There are two (2) separate menus: one for the "steamed" version; the other one for the "fried." We opted for the fried catfish and perch dinners in Cajun seasoning in our first visit. Both dinners came with an AMPLE amount of fries. Since everything was made-to-order and four (4) to-go and dine-in orders were placed before ours, it was a slightly longer, yet still reasonable wait (approximately 20 minutes). The breading wasn't thick at all. The crust was crispy and golden, while the meat inside remained juicy. I enjoyed the Cajun seasoning, though it could have gone a bit easy on the salt. "Seafood Junction" made a positive impression on our inaugural visit. We thought of this corner joint this evening and wanted to get some steamed seafood home. The "steamed" combos were numbered. Contents of seafood combination in each choice were also clearly written on the black chalk board. We had the $31 shrimps, lobster tail, crab, and clams combo tray in Cajun sauce. This also came with potatoes, broccoli, and corn. The wait was rather short and sweet this time around. In about fifteen (15) minutes, our order number was called. Well, that must be my New Year luck! Everything we had was delicious. I could tell parts were thoroughly cleaned before cooking. Other than the Cajun sauce that we requested, there were two (2) additional sauces that resembled "drawn butter" included in the bag. This $31 combo definitely was a treat for us. By the way, our cats also wanted a share of our steamed seafood feast. Of course, hubby and I vigilantly dodged their claws before they reached to the tray. Hey nice try, buddies! I actually preferred their steamed seafood because I can bring the tray home, make myself a cup of tea or coffee, turn the TV on, and dig in with a plenty of napkins on the table. The prices were fair, considering it's Chicago.
