Crabmeat Fries

Service absolutely was bad. Food was ok, I ordered a second drink it didn't come the same way I got the first one. Came in a small glass Had to wait for my food. No tool for the crab legs. Had to ask for the tool. Waiters not very friendly. Very bad for our first time there. I would not recommend it. The guy at the cash register receiving the money didn't even ask us if everything was ok. Very cold experience for sure please do better!!

If you love onions, you'll love this fish dish loaded with onions Firm textured rice The dish was a $25 disappointment. .

At least the sauce and shrimp tasted good I'm ready very disappointing. If I wanted to order onions and shrimp. Rice was hard texture. My first time here.

I'm giving this restaurant a 4/5 stars for the following: * Nice size parking lot (formerly Ruby Tuesdays) * Seated right away * Full bar for alcoholic drinks available * Various appetizers not found at some crab boil places in Chicagoland Now to the food. The appetizers we ate were very good - buffalo chicken wings and mozzarella cheese sticks. The crab boil was okay, portion size was good, but I feel like the flavor was missing. Maybe I should have tried the crab du jour seasoning. I opted for the garlic butter and cajun seasoning. Most crab boil places I visited, that seasoning combo would have been enough, but it tasted like the cajun seasoning part was missing, there was tons of butter flavoring. My daughter got the garlic butter noodles, and we both weren't fans. We had hopes that they would have used angel hair or linguine noodles. We're also happy that they put the noodles to the side, otherwise, it would have soaked up all the juice from the crab boil and the noodles would have been mushy! She did enjoy the strawberry drizzle cheesecake too. Our host was very nice. I don't recall his name, but he got a nice tip from us.

Stay clear of this bs

This place is terrible, I have nothing good to report, food is over priced Ànd portions are tiny , for a Cajun place it has no flavor, Ànd they have stuff on menu that they don't have to serve so your playing guess who ordering it's very annoying oh and the first sign I should have turned around is the sign in front door saying they automatically take15% tip Lile if u got tnat many issues u think your smarter than tbe customer when it comes to gratuity smh that's how I know of your store is doing good or not smh the waiters there were happy go lucky cause they get the 15% regardless of how bad tbe service Ànd food is personally I will be overjoyed to see this place close down Ànd they turn the spot into a tax place or something

Potato looks moldy/ rotten

Made an order online and went to pick it up. There were no issues whatsoever, but when I got home and put the food in a bowl we saw this... pls do better next time

Went in for happy hour. Sat at the bar. We ordered from their cocktail menu. All the drinks were very sweet. They were all made by the bartender, no mixers so it does take a few minutes to get a drink. We ordered a couple happy hour appetizers. They weren't bad but honestly, they were nothing special. All the staff checked in on us when they pass by. I'll have to come back again to try the food. Decor was as you expect in a chain seafood place, but it looked clean. I would have only done three stars because I was not blown away by anything, but two people having drinks and appetizers for a couple hours and it's less than 40 bucks with tip. I can't complain.

First time visiting this place and it had just opened a few weeks ago. It's off North Ave and has its own parking lot . We were told right when we got in that their system is having problems and they are only accepting cash. They have a good variety of food on their menu , in case someone in your party doesn't like seafood, they do have chicken and other non seafood items. The service was great , we really liked our waiter and hope he is there next time we go. You get a bib and gloves so you don't get your clothes and fingers all garlicky, and a wet wipe when you are done with your meal. The decor is very cool in there , not too tacky or cluttered . We got the crab deviled eggs for appetizer, it was FANTASTIC!!! I highly recommend them. My husband and I shared a steamed bag with the garlic butter and added noodles to it . The crab legs were a bit small but they were still good. We also got the crab cake basket , for $20, it wasn't worth the price . They were dry , over cooked, and small. Will not be getting them again, but it came with a side so we chose the waffle sweet potato fries . They were very good , brought the rest home to throw in the air fryer :)

Amazing experience! This was the first sea food boil for me and wow. I get the hype now. Honestly the most affordable place. We got a boil for about $60 for 3 people and we still had leftovers to take back home. I will say that it was a bit too salty but everything else was delicious. It came with potatoes and corn. The corn was juicy and creamy. For appetizers we had shrimp tacos. Oh my GOSH! It was beyond good. It came with spicy mayo with game the shrimps a soft kick. The Cajun fries were crunchy and fresh. Perfect amount of seasoning. We did come there with an 8 year old and I saw a lot of families with kids coming in. So I'm glad to see the place being family friendly despite being a bar. The interior is beautiful in my opinion. Obviously sea themed. the place was clean. The service was fast and the server was nice and explained to us the menu fast and easy. She clearly knows what she's doing. However we did come around 12, and we were the first people there, so about 3 different servers would come by each 10 mins and ask "how is everything" and that's fine but they choose a moment when you're chewing and can't answer.

Getting to Rustico during construction (the street is closed) can be a challenge. Our biggest…read morechallenge was our GPS taking us to the alley behind the restaurant. That was nice, I suppose, but there is no entrance in the back. We ended up parking just down the street and walking, unfortunately in the rain. Some of that is important for as long as the construction lasts. Our GPS issue has nothing to do with the restaurant. It's just a friendly FYI in case it's your first time. The place was cute, but kind of ordinary. I was surprised when trying to find the restroom there is another big room of tables behind the bar. Servers were attentive, but they mislead us just a bit. Our friend asked about the paella and was told it was, or maybe could be (?) a single serving. Well... no way. It was massive. I believe he enjoyed it, but didn't come close to finishing it. I'd say it's easily a two-person meal. We were also told pizzas were individual size. The pizza had eight slices and could easily serve two. Mark enjoyed it. He ordered the four cheese pizza, which included blue cheese. I took a bite and definitely tasted it and didn't care for it. I think the blue cheese might have been one reason Mark DID like it. I ordered an appetizer, PULPO A LA PLANCHA from the Hot Tapas menu. It was quite good. I also had the soup of the day, which was mushroom. It was delicious! I finished all my food and was perfectly satisfied and full.

Went to the buffet and had tried their shrimp cocktails (not peeled), raw oyster, smoked salmon, mini croissant, pastries, and quiche. The buffet also had crab claws, muffins, fruit, and salad that I didn't have a chance to try as I was getting too full. The smoked salmon was my favorite. The quiche had two types; salmon was salty and the other I think spinach was too egg yolk taste. Both were dense and not light. Oysters were fine and didn't get sick afterwards. For the entree, I originally wanted the lobster toast, but the waiter mentioned it is a small dish. So I choose the Herb crusted white fish, which was really delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and was juicy. Came with mashed potatoes and spinach. Then, for dessert I had tried the lemon bar and crème brûlée. Both very good. I did see someone else order the crab cake royal, it was a decent size and looked bigger in person than the photo I found on yelp. Would probably try that if I have a chance to come back.

We enjoyed that same inviting attitude from every member of the staff during our meal as well. The dining area was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Warm, fresh, crusty bread service was delicious with my delicious choice of one of several French wines by the glass. Price point is reasonable. My Petite Mesclun salad was fresh and flavorful. The White Fish in lemon caper sauce was truly sublime! What an explosion of flavor and texture, with sautéed spinach leaves! I finished with hot tea and a trio of seasonal fruit sorbets. Yum! Highly recommended.
