The veggies were solid. Everything was drenched in delicious butter and very flavorful. My only complaint is the container used. It comes in Styrofoam wrapped in plastic wrap. The staff was super helpful...I asked at least 30 questions and saw not one sign of frustration! The cashier assisted me in choosing the perfect deal and was pleasant the entire time. I always read reviews before I try a restaurant for the first time. Some of the reviews were good, and some were bad. I had a craving for seafood, and this location is a lot closer than the one on the west side, so I decided to go here, even though I saw some bad reviews. I read that this location is worse than the location on the west side when it came to the quality of food. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was! I also didn't have to fear my safety or watch my purse, back, or the riff raff around me because there wasn't any. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the cashier. She asked me was it my first time there. Great customer service! I couldn't decide if I wanted the crab legs or the lobster tail, so I got both with the veggies. I liked the fact that they saran wrap your container so nothing won't leak or fall out. I didn't like the price, it is high, but that's expected for seafood. I was anxious to get home to see if it was worth the price. I got home and dug in. Those bad reviews were wrong. The food was delicious! I noticed that they gave me plenty of butter and the food was seasoned very very well! The crab legs and lobster tail wasn't dry and was full of flavor. The veggies melted in your mouth and the corn was extra tender. Definitely more flavorful than the Madison St location! The reason why they got 4 stars is because they could've gave me more veggies for the price I paid. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. Also notice people talking about safety issues at the Madison location. Technically this seafood junction is in Hillside, but across the street is Bellwood, but doubt anyone is really worried about safety issues over here. This one opened up around 6/15/2015. Hopefully this place stays as the last three restaurants at this exact same spot has come and gone in a matter of MONTHS! Although I've only been here twice. Very friendly reception the moment you walk in the door. The ladies behind the counter will help you if you look like you need help. Which we did. There's a sign on the wall that's all the fried stuff and then the sign above behind the cashier is all raw where they will cook it for you in whatever style you like. You get four to choose from, but the most popular is Cajun which is what we chose. We ordered the crab legs, lobster tail, shrimp, clam and mussel option. But we subbed the mussels for crawfish. Does not honor their word. I was given the wrong order via delivery. I reached out to the restaurant and notified them of the issue. Sais notified me that I had one of 2 options as to bring the order back which wasn't an option because I ordered delivery for a reason or to receive a credit for the mix up. I called a few weeks later only to be told something completely different and that it was only a partial credit and that I should've contacted the delivery service about the issue. He did not mention any of this in our initial conversation and made sure I questioned that I would have a credit for my meal not part of it. This place is great! It never disappoints. I love seafood and had heard about this place, never noticed that I drive by it on a daily. The location is small, it's very clean and doesn't smell. The young lady at the front is very helpful. I was so lost, I wanted one of everything. She helped me choose a platter, with crab legs and jumbo shrimp. My son also ordered crab legs, but had lemon pepper seasoning. My husband had crab legs also. The thing that surprised me was how clean the seafood was. Any place that I have ever gone to and ordered crab legs, I never eat the cluster part where all the crab legs are attached. It's usually too fishy flavored for me and the color of the crab meat is usually dark and you can tell it was not cleaned properly. I went with the Cajun seasoning. Everything was very delicious. The broccoli was a bit over cooked and falls apart when you pick it up with your fork. The containers are saran wrapped, so nothing spills. Which is great because, when it happens my car stinks for days. I have visited once a week 1/2 hour before they close and they are still very helpful and attentive and never rush you. My son loves this place as well, he really enjoys his seafood. The jumbo shrimp are huge! They are also very clean and well devined, no residual left over to make it taste dirty or bitter. I was driving down Mannheim rd Saturday afternoon and noticed this restaurant. I had a my eye on wings as usual and was pleasantly surprised to find a seafood place that looked like a market. I first saw the advertisements in the window and I thought they only catered parties are something. After viewing the extra fresh crab legs and fresh seafood I was just about to walk out until the nice young lady behind the counter said "sir I'm sorry can I help you" as she was bagging prior orders. I said uuuhh can I get the salmon and 12 shrimp and she said cajun or creole or original and I replied original. She smiled, thanked me and rang my order and when I got home I was was surprised that I got potatoes, brocoli, corn and best of all my food was not deep fried which I had expected but did not ask. This is real restaurant quality food and it is very good. I don't mine paying $11.99 for that meal, it was well worth it and it did not clog my arteries. If you get a chances check them out they are very good and trust me I know what good seafood is suppose to taste like and that was it !!!
