This is my go-to Mexican spot. The food is delicious and well seasoned. The service is good with attentive and knowledgeable staff. My favorites are the enchiladas suizas, fajitas mixtas, and fish ceviche. They also make a great cadallac margarita. This place is very popular so it can get crowded and loud during major holidays, celebrations (prom/graduation), and big sports events. Even with a wait I'd say it's worth it to check out. Very disappointed with my experience at Los Compadres. The food is mediocre at best. We had the ceviche combinado, the tacos and some other dish (can't remember what it was right now, it was that forgettable) and it was all pretty tasteless. I've been to other Mexican restaurants with much better food. Also found it to be quite expensive. The server was kind. Poor guy was doing his job as best he can. Bottom line is, if you are looking for good Mexican food in and around LA, I assure you this is not the place. The ambiance seemed very commercial too. I don't know what's happening here, but my last few visits have been disappointing with the quality and portions of the amount of meat that is served with their plates. I understand prices have gone up. So menu items increasing does not bother me. The disappointing part is paying higher prices and getting lower quality food on top of getting barely any meat. It just doesn't seem balanced. As far as the taste of the food, it's still flavorful. I still enjoyed my burrito. I just know I'll never come back and pay $18 for mostly beans and rice in my burrito. My mom ordered the enchiladas suizas. When I say we couldn't find the chicken I'm saying it was hard to find. It was tiny little bits of chicken lol. My mom said she'll never order this again. Margaritas are always great here. Today I went for the Paloma and asked if I wanted Don Julio, I accepted. Prior to knowing how much we paid for the Paloma we did send it back due to it tasting bitter and sour. Basically the limes were old. The drink came back tasting a little better. I and we will never order another Paloma again from here. I'll stick to the margaritas. The highlight was the queso fundido with asada 10/10. read more

First time ever and it was a group of 10. Family feast. Service was great, food was amazing, we got the molcajete and it was delicious, it wasn't one of those giant ones, it's good enough for 4 people. Other dishes looked so good, the ceviche de camaron and the plate de birria was really good. Overall, definitely will be going back to try other dishes. Plenty of parking. Food and Service here never disappoints. They have their own private parking lot and they have a bar area where you can enjoy Sunday football or catch an evening Baseball game. The dining area is a descent size where they can accommodate seating a big party for your celebrations. read more

Mediocre Mexican food. Definitely over priced. Our service was ok but not stellar for 1:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon especially when the restaurant adds the tip to your bill. We had to ask for utensils twice after the food had already arrived and request our drink refills. The restaurant itself is well kept and they have ample parking. Based on this experience, if you have another option for Mexican food take it! read more

Me and the hubby Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 230p. It wasn't crazy crowded but it was beginning to fill up, as many others were arriving same time as us. We were able to find a parking spot in the parking lot. We were Greeted and able to sit down right away. Our waitress was really nice and even complimented my new glasses . I Ordered a Mexican coke ($4) and hubby got a Cadillac magarita. We ordered and shared the Queso fundido as appetizer(around $13). I ordered my go-to which is tacos dorados, the hard shell tacos with shredded chicken ($around $18) and the hubby got the beef chimichangas plate( around $20) They both came with rice and beans. Everything was delicious and the portion size was so large, we saved a good amount of our food to eat later. It sounds loud inside but not crazy to where you can't have a conversation with your table but for some people it may be loud for them. Overall Los Compadres is always a great spot to come to! This review are for the delivery orders we have ordered from Los Compadres The reason why im leaving a 3 star review is not based on the quality of the food but based on the packaging. This is one of the most expensive places we order from and the food juices are always spilled all over the bags every single time. Based on this it will probably be the last time we order from here. And also the hot food we ordered & tortillas were barely warm. We live 5 minutes from the restaurant which had no reason to be that cold. Out of respect to your customers please improve your packaging. Your dishes are $30 plus & they should be packaged better. We have not been able to go to the restaurant which we do enjoy which is we order for delivery. It's just too bad how messy the food always arrives. read more

We ordered the machaca plate and carne asada burrito. Our meals were tasty and comforting. Their salsa is not very spicy but enhances the meal well. Service by Valentina was attentive, welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself is a bit noisy due to the large crowd but that's indicative of good food. This is 4.5 stars. Excellent Mexican restaurant in the city of Norwalk. The first thing we noticed was the service. Super friendly and quick. We had a late lunch so it was not very crowded, but Tabitha was always checking on us: extra chips, two different salsas, drinks, and helping us order. My buddy had an unusual dish, at least to me it was. It was called Camaron Y Pulpo; shrimp and octopus cocktail. It was a rich seafood soup. He liked it a lot. I ordered my usual two tacos combo plate with chicken and beef, rice and beans. Called Tacos Dorados. Very, very filling and pretty tasty. Chips and salsa were also fresh. Bill for two with tax and tip was $55.00. Not so bad considering our portions. Would definitely eat here again. read more

The service was friendly, the restaurant wasn't packed so it made for a nice relaxing ambiance. We came on a Tuesday around 5pm. We ordered the Agua chiles which were delish, the chimichangas and the enchiladas Suiza which were recommended by the server, thank you for that. My party ordered an adios alcoholic beverage which was super strong. I just got water (asked for no ice) but got ice, hey at least they put a lime slice in there. The food is always a banger at Los Compadres. I've come by multiple times for their Carne Asada and Caldo de Res. My husband is a fan of their mocaljetes. Portions are large (typically enough to bring home leftovers) and the prices are more than reasonable. Dishes typically come with rice, beans, and tortillas. Complimentary chips and salsa to start. Solid food for a solid price. When we've dined here, the servers check in with us frequently. I've only come here at night, so the lighting is always a bit dark (comparable to Cheesecake Factory). Tip: Try their piña coladas with strawberry. They make them so creamy and good here! read more

I went here on a Sunday and it was pretty busy but we only waited about 20 minutes to get seated. The chilaquiles were good and spicy. The enchiladas with carne asada were pretty tasty too. As you can see from the pictures, they give a good amount of food with each dish. The tables in the middle of the dining area were a little too close to each other so it was hard to get up from your seat without bumping into the person sitting at the table behind you. read more

End of an era for me! The carne asada burrito tasted old. So they brought me a second one, which was fresh but lacked flavor. I'm not a difficult customer --- even the waitresses remember me for being nice. Anyhoo, I spoke to the manager, Brenda, but she blew me off. I will miss this place. Maybe they had an off day. But I was turned off by the manager's indifference. I still tipped my wonderful waitresses the usual 20%. read more

We were in town for a 60th party. It had been years since I had been to Norwalk. I was craving Mexican and did not want to drive to my favorite place a town or two over. Came across this little gem. We had a margarita that was amazing. Kinda Arnold Palmer-ry with tequila. We both had enchiladas. Mine green with chicken his with cheese red sauce. We split and it didn't disappoint. Chips and salsa were good the rice and beans tasted great. Couldn't complain about the food or atmosphere. Nice to randomly find a good spot! read more
