First time customer today, The place is nice and big, but the a/c was too high and we were pretty chilly. The service was good. The food was flavorful although the shrimp in the enchiladas was not fresh, the green chile pork was very tender but pretty spicy, so I asked for a little sour cream (and was charged $4.00 extra ) Disappointed. read more

Delicious food and great atmosphere. Whether you're dining as a single guest or multiple people, the restaurant has open floor plan seating. The service is prompt and everyone from hosts to servers are very helpful with overall great customer service. The food is always hot and fresh across the menu. Upon seating you're greeted with two types of salsa and your drinks are brought to your table quite quickly. I've been here a few times and haven't ever had a bad experience. We had dinner here this week and the experience was okay. We got there at 4 pm so not too busy, but the food took a very long time to come out. When we finally got our food I'd say it was decent, not great, but not horrible. The menu items are a little on the pricier side for what you get. I'd have to say the shrimp cocktail was good, but the taco combination plate and chimichanga plate was just okay. I don't think we'll be heading back unless there's a party there or something. The service was alright, the server just took quite awhile to give us refills on the chips, and drinks. Me and el viejo came care plenty of times before pandemic hit and we loved it. For the past few weeks el viejo had been talking about how much he missed their chilaquiles so we finally went this past weekend...and we still loved it! Even though indoor and outdoor dining is now allowed, we've been kind of avoiding going to eat at restaurants only because they have been so packed with long wait times and also because most restaurants have limited staff. I totally understand it...everyone is rushing back and restaurants are probably trying to save money by not hiring that many employees. However this was not the case at all at Los Compadres. Wait time was only 30 minutes for a Sunday and there was plenty of servers. The best part: our server Selene. Simply put: she was amazing! We never had to ask for anything because she constantly checked up on us, was so friendly, and provided great menu recommendations. I will definitely be requesting to be sat in her section next time we go back. Food and drinks were great as well. Covid safety regulations are still being followed as well. Just a tip: please remember that just because certain covid regulations have been lifted doesn't mean the pandemic is over and that restaurants don't have rules to follow. The table next to us got upset because their group of nine got split into two tables and the manager kindly explained that they could sit the most six people at one table. Just be mindful. We love Los Compadres, they always have the best games on in the bar and the waiters and waitresses are always very attentive. My husband and I usually get the queso fundido with no chorizo, potato tacos, and the veggie fajitas (which are some of the best around they have squash, potato, and carrots with your typical fajita veggies). I took a few days before writing this. Thursday night I call for postmates delivery service. I tend to frequent here a lot since my brother moved up the street. Usually, I have no complaints. This time I did, I felt the food wasn't right. I called and the young lady told me I had to complain to postmates it wasn't their fault. That's not how postmates works. I wouldn't want a delivery service do anything but deliver my food. By the way they are Amazing and friendly. Well, back to the lady on the phone with me ...4 times she cut me off and put me on hold without a "Can I put you on hold ". When I asked for the Manager, a young man got on the phone abruptly saying he was in charge and he would NOT refund my money. Never once did I ask for a refund. I think the acting manager and Alejandra need to learn a little more about customer service . I was a $128.00 ticket that night. I really wanted to go in person and talk to the general manager, only I hadn't had the time. It's too bad, because I really liked their food Note: check my reviews most of them are good. So there's always room for improvement. So the bar is legit Armando bust his ass making drinks for the tables and the bar. They remodeled the bar a bit and I like it. The food has always had something to be desired with. The botana shrimp fish and octopus is legit very fresh and very tasty. Where they get knocked down is that this bomb ass botana gets served with store bought chips and tostada. That's screams lazy or uneven food , bomb botana and lazy tostada GTFOH. Service is good but not sure if they know botana is already made so it shouldn't take long to bring out. read more

Everything was clean, staff looks professional! The portion was great, food was very delicious, and the customer service was good. They had a chamoy mango margarita that was delicious, had lots of alcohol but good nonetheless!! I had the spicy seafood soup that had fish, octupus, and shrimp and it was real good. It's not that good and We got the kids quesadilla plate and it was a sad little quesadilla rice and beans for $9.00 like what? Maybe lower the price for that specific plate. It's overpriced for that children's plate. And it had this wilted lettuce on it. We also got the molcajete for one person and it was good. Wouldn't order it again, but it was okay. It was small. I went to another Mexican restaurant and the molcajete was also good and it was for one person but shareable for two. Same price. Overall our food was good minus the kids plate. We came in on a Tuesday afternoon for a team lunch and the place wasn't as packed yet. They just opened 20 minutes before we arrived. The staff was friendly and service was quick. I ordered the camarones a la diabla and I loved it. Totally had food coma after. I wished there were more shrimp. First time coming here. Diets thing I noticed was a high ceiling and a lot of tables, what that said, we were seated right away. We were attended quick by our server, first took our order for drinks and on her way back she took our order for the food. It was maybe a good 10-15 minutes before our food came out, so service was quick. Food was great, good flavor. We ordered a Cocido, Enchiladas Suizas and Red Enchiladas with Chicken and for desert, flan (see pics). Good place and recommend it. I went to Los Compadres this past Sunday with the family. We were seated by the end of the bar, and I had a seat with my back to the swing door. It's the worst seat in the house. The staff that had to go in and out of the bar area kept swinging the door and hitting the back of my chair. I had to move my chair closer to the edge of the table, and it was still not enough movement on my part not to have the door hit my chair. Our waitress was horrible, she did not refill the chips and salsa. We had to wave her down and then she just brought one small dish of salsa for five people. She only checked on us when we were almost finished eating. The only thing good was the food. There was another table with a group of patrons right up against the corner. One or more people in the group must have been a restaurant worker who was off duty at the time. Numerous service staff took care of them like royalty, even speaking with the group for an extended period of time. I've been to the restaurant in the past and have never been treated this way. My brother-in-law paid the bill. If I was paying, there would've been no tip whatsoever. Should have gone to Casa Adelita in La Habra. I will go back, but not anytime soon. I understand the restaurant was busy, but if the staff can't treat every customer with grace, then find another job where you are not serving people. read more

Parking here is a bit of a nightmare because the parking lot isn't very big. But there are a lot of neighborhoods surrounding this restaurant so we were able to find parking in a neighborhood down the street pretty easily. We went on a Friday night and the wait was about 40 minutes, so it wasn't too bad, but obviously that wasn't the best Either. Our waitress was really nice and to go orders immediately. I got the mango margarita with the Chamoy stick and it was bomb. The food was a little more expensive than I had been expecting but to be fair I live in Las Vegas now, so I want to say forget about the prices of certain food in California so that could totally just be my bad. read more

Came here with my husband for a late lunch/early dinner, which was the perfect time since there was plenty of parking and no wait. At peak ours, this place us super busy. We were greeted right away and seated. Chips and salsa were brought to the table and our waiter came by within minutes. My husband ordered a wet burrito with carnitas and I ordered the 3 asada taco plate that came with a scoop of guacamole, rice and beans. We ordered guacamole for the table. The salsa had not heat at all. I would say there was a hint of sweetness to it. My husband didn't like it at all. He likes his spicy salsa. I thought it was ok. The guacamole had no flavor whatsoever. I can taste the butterness of the avocados, but nothing else. My asada tacos were good, a bit dry but it had flavor. I liked the beans. It was creamier than other beans I've had at other places. My husband didn't like his burrito. The carnitas was super dry. He was glad he got the burrito wet so it made the dry carnitas edible. I used to love this place, but lately I've been conflicted. The shrimp burrito is a definite go to. After the pandemic this place got super expensive. The last time I was there I ordered chilaquiles, the waitress asked me if I wanted eggs with them. I said of course don't they always come with eggs she stated because of the egg crisis that she would have to charge me $4 for 2 eggs. I said wow no thanks. Is it just me ?
