Better than I expected!! I'm not sure why I didn't think the food would be very good, but to my surprise it was! Got the chicken/steak fajitas and they were pretty delicious. They kind of skimmed on the pico-cheese and sour cream though. The waiter was good and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place was pretty walking up with the Christmas lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would be happy going back if and when in the area.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a nice evening to be sitting in the patio with the band playing in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food and service were good. I love its thin crisp chips.

food i'd recommend the restaurant to speakers of english as a first language with a genuine interest in interacting with mexican food culture, on a sort of micro level, in such a way that communicates an outsider status to the culture, along with a coexisting belief in your potential to learn from it. nonetheless, deciding is still hard; so, i'm grateful for broski coming to lunch and offering the suggestion of ceviche, a dish i'd not before tried, but which was quite tasty, and complementary to the generous amount of warm, glistening chips at the table. the dish, which came in a margarita glass, even left me reflecting upon the tradition of serving tortilla chips at mexican food restaurants in the united states with that of serving crackers with soupy dishes in the same country. the brandname for the crackers that paired with the ceviche, a soupy seafood medley bathed in salsa, was zesta, which looks to me like a spanish word that would be helpful in connecting those food traditions. and on top of that, the restaurant blessed me with a dessert of mini sopapilla pockets, which i'd used to acknowledge the influence of the traditional christian sacrament of eucharist, by walking around the table and asking every member of the party to partake, although after giving one to about two people, momma told me to give the plate and let the guests pass it around the table. in the end, the plate got around to me and i indulged in a sopapilla bite, with dippage from a relatively full honey cambrio; l indulgence with w server terminology. service layers to it, fasho. first, one of the workers at the front stand kindly showed me to the baños, which i'd used before a worker sat our party. then, a team of servers expertly waited the table, including one server receiving the drink order for our whole 20+ person party, that same server delivering me the arnie palmer i'd ordered with w proportions, multiple workers presumably of the server distinction delivering the food promptly, and timing the inquiries for boxes opportunely, with the only disconnect for me coming from such the surplus of chips, which are in fact in a box at the cribbo if you care to get on that glistening action. also, w mans with the yats, and w sizzle on fajita plate. ambiance the restaurant is christmased to the 9s; talm lit snowmen trio in rb&g getups respectively, talm a grinch cutout with at least three cutouts of his boy max, talm holly go jolly all around, though i'd have liked to recognize más decoraciones de navidad, pero ya una está más mejor que nada; por lo tanto, ¡mucha feliz navidad!

My family has been coming here for many years. The food has been consistently good, but the service is hit or miss. There are not a ton of options for vegetarians but certain things can be modified. Even less options for vegans but it's possible to find something to eat. They're stingy with their salsa for large groups but will bring more if you ask. The queso can be spicy sometimes but it's still tasty. The portions are decent size so some meals can be shared between two people. I highly recommend the cheese enchiladas, my go-to meal.

The ambiance is incredible as with the service. My wife had the carnitas and steak Mexico tacos (street) and she said the pico was fabulous and the meat seasoning was just ok. The refried beans had a little "bite" to them which was a nice addition. The rice was good also. I had the brisket tacos and they were on point. If you add some of their chipotle ranchera sauce, it makes them that much better. My suggestion is don't get the guacamole unless you want to be disappointed. It lacked cilantro and had the consistency of guacamole from your grocery store. We will be back to try other menu items, but a big NO on the guacamole.

We visited on a Sunday around 4pm and were seated immediately. I forgot to photograph the entrees, but we visited last week and enjoyed the grande nachos (ground beef) and I had a hankering for them so it seemed prudent. Those nachos are amazing. The other reason I visited was for the black beans which I chose as my side for the ground beef enchiladas meal. I got it topped with chili con carne. The ground beef in the enchiladas was well seasoned. The black beans were on point for the second week in a row. We had the same server, Raine, on this visit as the previous week. He remembered us and we were glad to have him as our drinks were never empty. Our food was delivered quickly as well. Definitely visiting before the place is packed helped in that regard. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was nice as always, but there were a bunch of staff waiting in the hallway next to our seats just eyeballing the patrons which was uncomfortable for my wife.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I get that they're surveying the floor to see who needs to be topped off but that was a little weird. Otherwise, a positive visit.

Stopped in for lunch and were seated in a booth. A girl brought out chips and salsa for us and we loved the chips, they were so light and crispy. Our server came over and was very friendly. We decided on the nachos with chicken. They came out within five minutes and were tasty , and the cheese was melted but they weren't very hot. For lunch we ordered the chicken tacos and Mexico City tacos. Both of our tacos were very good and so filling. We got a lot of food here for the money. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was very good, and restaurant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall great place for Mexican food!

Don't ever plan to come here if you have a party larger than four or five people. They will not see you unless the majority of the party is already here. Even though the restaurant is 2/3 empty this is their "policy". If I wasn't already here, meeting a group of people for rendezvous, I would never stay. We'll never be back again myself

This was my first time at Los Cabos. Honestly, the worst "Mexican food" I've ever tried. Our server was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the view was nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Literally will not be going back.

Great! Host could've been more friendly but our server was amazing! She was fast and on top of it! Loved their salsa and enchiladas

Margarita was tasty & Food was good. I wouldn't say it was fabulous but it was good. I had the fried avocados & it was different. Maybe wouldn't order it again, but I did eat it all. I wanted to try something different and it WAS different. I would eat here again, but maybe not go out of my way. The service was good, but took a while to get our check. Ambiance was casual and relaxed.

    Enchiladas

Came in on a whim after going to the Bass Pro next door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated immediately by the windows overlooking the pond.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was very friendly. Food came fast; nice and hot. Probably the best refried beans I've had in years!

I found it when he asked if there was a place I'd want to go to and I suggested somewhere in west BA because he was loving way east and I'm in Tulsa. I looked on Yelp and suggested Los Vaqueros, which just happened to already be one of his favorite places. We have come back many times together since our first meeting because the service is solid with friendly staff, the food is reliably always good, and we like hopping next door when we are done and shooting some pool. He always asks them to make shrimp quesadillas. They aren't on the menu, but they will make them and they are good! The shrimp are large and juicy. I love a lunch special when we've come for lunch (like we did for our first date), but at dinner time, I tend to lean towards the margarita chicken. Super good. A nice portion of grilled veggies, and the chicken is always moist. I like that it is pretty colorful on here. I told him that was something g that o liked when we came here on our first date. But they keep lighting lower, so it's not shockingly colorful. I just really enjoy it here!

They had a live band, and Gabby the clown was making the coolest balloon yo-yos. She spent some one-on-one time with little mama showing her tricks, which made her night. Our server was 10/10, food was 10/10, and we shared the Monterey Jack steak and bacon wrapped (yes, bacon wrapped) chicken fajitas and they were MONEY. Portion size was huge too -- we still have leftovers today. The $5 margarita special was strong and tasty, and little miss even got to ride her first mechanical bull. Safe to say we'll definitely be back.

Since this was our first visit here, we had to order our comparison dishes. Those are guacamole, birria tacos and street tacos. When we received the chips and salsa, I noticed the salsa lacked some cilantro, but had a unique flavor, different from our other favorite Mexican food establishments. My wife was really fond of it, but said it was ok. I really liked it, even if it lacked cilantro. The guacamole came out and it looked like my guac that make at home. It was very good, didn't need any additional salt and was not overpowering in lime. I'd give it 10/10. My wife ordered the chicken street tacos. She said they were the best out of all the places we go. The chicken was flavorful and the tortillas didn't fall apart. It came with a tomatillo crema that was infused with jalapeños and was too spicy for her. I got the Birria tacos and they were especially good with the crema. The birria consumé was excellent. The rice was fluffy and tender and the refried beans were on point. They serve Coke products which includes Coke Zero and they were quick with the refills. We will definitely put this place as #2 on our list of go-to Mexican cuisine establishments. They are located in the Rose District, so the prices will be slightly higher, but it's still worth the visit.

We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We arrived around 6:45pm for the 7pm bingo, only to find out it wasn't being held on the patio as advertised. That was fine--it was hot out anyway. We were shown to a small indoor section and luckily grabbed the last high-top table. Service was very slow. We waited a while before anyone came by, and it took 40 minutes to get my margarita. Our food actually came out before our drinks. I ordered a skinny margarita but got something syrupy and full of sweet & sour mix instead. Tried to switch to wine, but surprise--they don't serve wine. At a full bar. Odd. The food was just okay at best. * "Cilantro lime" rice had corn and no trace of cilantro or lime. Not good. * Black beans with pico--bland. * Cheese enchilada--fine, but forgettable. * Queso tasted like El Chico (nostalgic, but not in a good way). * Salsa had zero spice. Our server was rarely around, and when we were ready to pay, we actually had to get up and ask the manager at the host stand to bring us our check. Not a great ending to the meal. Bingo was... fine. It moved fast but had long breaks in between rounds. We played five games and didn't win. Prizes were $10 gift cards--not bad, but not enough to bring us back.
