I've always been a fan of Los Betos but this location was not it. We went to the location on Oracle and Prince and I was so disappointed. First let's start with the door. It was broken, cracked glass and tape barely holding it together, with a BIG OLE sign that said "We reserve the right to refuse service" which I get it but the sign being the first thing you see on the door is not very welcoming and it's just not the vibe. Secondly, the smell was so bad. It smelled like open sewer and I don't know how anyone can eat in a place that smells so bad. Lastly the place had lots of flies, they had fans going and not sure if the AC was out but the place felt muggy and just overall very run down. My son ordered the carne asada burrito and it was okay. I did not want to order anything after seeing the restaurant, the ambience and the smell. read more

I woke up this morning and grub hub a burrito. it was pretty mediocre. I should've ordered Chick-fil-A breakfast. regretted that decision.

This place is a popular drive-thru fast food place with a small inside dining area. The cars kept coming during my visit today, early Saturday evening. Two other Mexican restaurants are within easy walking distance. I ordered a Combo C: two shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. It comes with a small drink. All for $10.33 with tax. Service was fast and friendly despite the workers being rushed. My only complaint was that the taco shells weren't crispy. The lettuce and chopped tomatoes, however, were fresh. read more

Everything that I ordered was just disgusting I ordered Carne Asada fries or I guess they call it super fries. The fries were undercooked bland. Just horrible. I also ordered I guess they called it a cheesecake I don't know what the hell kind of cheesecake that was literally just disgusting. I love eating here, but they forgot to give me a burrito this morning, and when I showed them the bag and receipt, the lady told me that she counted what was in the bag, and was sure that I got all my burritos, basically accusing me of lying and stealing. Took the family a while to decide what we wanted, the kids said Los Betos. Drove over with a list. Pulled up and went inside. We were behind another couple who seemed a bit upset. When they left they said theybhad been waiting for too long. We waited as 3 more orders were taken in the drive thru. They delivered on exactly what I needed hot and fresh and exactly when I needed it. The staff carried the items for me to my car and were so wonderful to work with. Used to eat here 3 or 4 mornings a week, after new owners things have slowly declined. Breakfast burritos have been cut in size by 1/3 to 1/2 the size, and continuous problems with orders being wrong. Today I tried again, and my burrito was wrong again. I'm visiting my hometown, Tucson, AZ and I was really craving Mexican food. However, it was late and not too many restaurants were open. My friend suggested Los Betos because they have a drive-thru and the food there is supposed to be really good for fast food Mexican cuisine. My friend ordered the California burrito and I ordered 5 rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures! I must be jet-lagged because I normally take pictures of all my food for Yelp. The burrito was HUGE. They give Chipotle a run for their money! It wasn't quite as thick as a Chipotle burrito, but it was longer. The tortilla was bigger than Chipotle's, so it wrapped up neater, and the tortillas taste so much better than the ones at Chipotle. My rolled tacos were amazing. I got the shredded beef. There was melted shredded cheddar cheese on top, and a HUGE portion of guacamole on the side. They gave us small little cups of both their verde salsa and roja salsa to pour into the burrito and/or dip my rolled tacos into. I tried them both and they were both flavorful, although my favorite was the roja. My friend's favorite was the verde. To be completely honest, the guacamole was just "okay." It was not very thick, in fact, it was a bit runny, which I found odd. And it wasn't very flavorful. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great! Like I said, it was "okay." In addition to the grub, we ordered two large horchatas. I haven't had real horchata in years! It was delish! Ahhhhh, I miss all the food I can get here in Arizona! So much better than any Mexican food in Ohio, that's for sure! Anyway, the large size horchatas are $2.30 each (plus tax) and if they don't hold an entire quart of horchata, I would be shocked! They were HUGE! I had to use both hands to hold my drink! All in all, I recommend Los Betos for a quick bite to eat if you want authentic, inexpensive Mexican food without having to go into a restaurant. read more

Wow... That was horrible. I've had generally positive experiences with Los Betos in the past, but I guess they've really fucked up their recipes recently. My dad and I went through the drive through. I got a Machaca burrito and my dad got rolled tacos. The burrito was huge, which I thought would be a great thing. Then I took a bite. Imagine the most overpowering cumin flavor you could imagine. I am not kidding. It tasted like they dumped an entire bottle of cumin into that burrito. Immediately, my dad noticed, because of my horrible reaction and the overpowering smell of cumin that filled the entire car. I did not take another bite of that burrito. No sir, I didn't. I guess on the bright side, the rolled tacos weren't as horrible? There was barely any meat in them and they tasted like eating a rolled up corn tortilla. The cheese on them was also not melted, just cold shredded cheese on the tacos. Oh well. I'm not coming back here. My kitchen still smells like cumin after I threw away that burrito. At this point, I feel like Mexican restaurants should specify that they cook with cumin because it's such an offensive spice. P.S. - cumin isn't in real Mexican food. read more

The food is good, but this location really needs to work on their drive thru skills.. Today the guy at the drive thru first left us hanging unsure of even he even heard us he finally read the order back wrong we corrected him.. I've grown used to the inability to run a drive thru and the insane wait that follows however today I was blatantly ripped off when the receipt reflected the order before we corrected him.. When it we was pointed out it was wrong he took the receipt and said I just gave you the wrong receipt and disappeared.. My husband was too hangry to push it more. But no pal you didn't give us the wrong receipt you overcharged us and didn't want to deal with it. Maybe it is again time for new management! I wish this place cared about it reviews, obviously they don't because nothing ever changes here.. why is it so hard for people working the drive thru to read back an order??? They never do they barely even acknowledge they heard your order just leave you sitting there wondering if they heard you or got it right... This is definitely my go-to place when I'm craving some good fast food. I love their adobada plate, marinated pork that's chopped and blackened and then served with all the fixin's to make your own burrito. While this Los Betos has it on the menu, some of the smaller ones don't, but you can ask for it. My boyfriend likes it here too since he can get some lower carb options. He generally will get either the adobada, steak or chicken plates without beans, rice or the tortillas. They always give him a generous amount of meat, lettuce, tomato and guacamole to compensate. I've found their service to be fine when I've been there, but some of their cashiers can be a bit abrupt and/or barely speak English. If you go in expecting just standard service and take it as it is you should be fine. read more

I don't understand the haters- It's a Los Betos, what do you expect? Pristine china and silverware? Nothing beats this location- they're quick, they have an awesome salsa bar with fun munchies and free cans of pop (sometimes). We always get the breakfast burritos with guacamole added and a side of chips and guacamole. All for $11. It's not the best for you, maybe they don't have a 100% original menu, but if you go to a place like this looking for cutting edge cuisine, that's your fault. I've been coming here for a long time, people are friendly. The food is fast, and the salsa is always fresh. Bathroom looks like Armageddon and my feet stick to the lobby floor. It is fast and cheap and Mexican food which I love. I'd give them the 5 star if they had Handy Man put a couple bucks into this fine establishment. Most locations of Los Betos I've never had any issues other than the speaker box. For the longest time I always thought it was an inside joke for them to be cutting in and out and the drive thru people not finishing their sentences. However this location must've recently hired Savannah because she spoke so clearly and had the best attitude I've ever encountered from a drive thru person. When I pulled up to the window she was super friendly and mindful of my food taking a while. The food was good but really this review has to go to the customer service. Amazing. read more

Not a lot to say about this place.. I usually order some of the 89 cent chicken tacos. It's good, affordable comfort food when you don't feel like cooking or paying restaurant prices. They will fill you and taste alright. Wish they didn't come out so soggy all the time, the bottom of the shells actually crumble apart before you have a chance to finish your meal. Not sure whether the chicken is too watery or the lettuce isn't dried properly. Either way, you can't really complain. You get what you pay for. The red and green salsas they offer with your meal taste great but are, yet again, just too watery. I have a hard time wanting to water down my tacos more than they already are. If you want some cheap Mexican food that's a lot better than Taco Bell but not anywhere near as expensive as a restaurant, then Los Betos is for you. I always love this place. The staff is exceptionally friendly and well the food is always hot off the grill. In addition to all that the environment itself is just welcoming and family oriented. If your looking for a quiet place to just relax this is it. If your looking for a place to take the family this is it. Clearly the new management sign is just there for show. Upon walking in I am not greeted but instead engaged with a stare off. The battle to see who speaks first. Quickly I order a burrito and quickly it arrives, Cold of course since I ordered guacamole and sour cream. Knowing most places just throw stuff together I am not looking for 5 Star quality just gauging it based off the typical setups in Tucson. So I pour some salsa on my burro and taste just cayenne pepper, try another one same, try the last same. The salsas all are horrible. It's obvious the person making them either doesn't have taste or doesn't quality check and doesn't care. So yeah make the extra trip to nicos or maybe even the Taco Bell. To the new manager, just being new doesn't change anything, step your game up and tell your employees to at least say Hello. read more

This place was better with the old management. Girl at the window had major attitude from the get go. Order was messed up and some of it was missing. We didn't check the bag (our fault) and called them when we got home. The girl on the phone (presumably the same one at the window) had attitude again from the start. When asked to speak to a manager she claimed she was the only one there. I asked if I could contact the owner and she offered me my money back if we drove back and for the cash. If you are in the mood for crummy teenage attitudes and sub par fast food Taco Bell is right across the street, and a better bang for your buck. read more
