AMAZING!!!!!!! We all got the bacon scram. I got the plain bagel and my husband and brother got the sludge bagel. It was all gone within 5 minutes of getting in the car. They were all hot and the bacon. My Lord the bacon was so juicy and thick. The egg real eggs and cheese and the bagel don't get me started on the warm fluffy bagel. I will be back I will be back. Man, I miss good bagels. It's one of the things that I miss most after moving from the east to the west coast. Can't believe we found a place in Eureka that has both good bagels and still holds on to the western style stuff, like salsa, guacamole, etc. I got the New Delhi bagel, with curry spread, cucumbers and carrots. The curry spread is more like a curry cream cheese, but it's still delicious. The veggies are fresh and great too, which is vital. The mister had the Huevos Los Bagels. Guac, tomato, egg. Non-microwaved egg. That is important, because a lot of bagel places I go to only microwave their ingredients instead of actually cooking them. Los Bagels! Mexican/Jewish! Ok so being from NY I'm quite biased when it comes to my bagels, however, I am not closed minded. If you go in there with expectations of a ny bagel u can just forget about it but I went in there with absolutely no expectations at all. I'm happy to say that I liked the non ny bagels. They seemed to be a totally different thing, not bagel like but very good. They also have something called slugs which were around 4 inches long and made from the same dough as the so called bagels. I liked the slug too! Check out the very eclectic menu here, I would love to come back and be more daring then an onion bagel with cream cheese and a slug toasted with butter. I was one of the Mexican employees who worked my way up at Los Bagels from prep cook starting a 6-7 a.m shifts and then became a cashier, I was let go with no warning no write ups and no suspension on a calm day where I felt my customer service was exceptionally good. I had just picked up multiple new responsibilities at the job. No reason was ever given for me being let go, and every other employee said that they were spoken to if ever their job was in jeopardy. Another Mexican girl got fired the same week for "talking back" which I never had personally witnessed and worked with her multiple times. But why did I get fired? | witnessed multiple times that managers would yell at employee and was treated extremely badly when I got sick with strep throat working here, told to come in anyways before I got antibiotics to make it not contagious, and was told it was my fault for getting sick from "pushing myself too hard" which I found extremely inappropriate. I wanted to like this business as a Mexican person in this community but how ethical are their practices? read more

We wanted to start off the day by having breakfast here, the line was long but they do a good job keeping people 6 feet apart. The decor is really cute and pretty and the staff were nice and cordial. I ordered the Loco Mocha which was very good and a Mexicana Mocha and sadly it was too bland it tasted like nothing and there were too many people waiting so I don't feel like going in there, to accompany our drinks we had the cucumber, with cream cheese, sweet mustard and sprinkle with seasoning and salt on a slug bagel it was very filling and tasty and a pumpkin empanada very good too. I make really good bagels at home super fluffy all natural sourdough yeast and everything I honestly am not sure what the deal is with los bagels recipe but the bagels are so dense they are not fluffy at all it feels like a brick in your stomach after eating one because of how dense they are. The food is great. Although it would be nice if "light shmear" was not a foreign concept to the employees. The employees are the biggest downer of the place. When one walks in to order they make customers feel as if they have interrupted a personal conversation. "What do you want?" and "That'll be $6.40" were the only words spoken to me while all 5 employees behind the counter kept up an animated conversation among themselves. 1/2/20: visited again for the first time in a while. When the half-asleep employee brought me the food, another customer was standing next to them, coughing without a mask all over the food; the employee didn't seem to notice or even care. We went here 2 days in a row on vacation. The first day, I ordered a toasted onion bagel with salmon spread. It was underwhelming. I'm not sure if they accidentally gave me a plain bagel or if their onion bagels just have no flavor. The next day, I ordered a Tomonion sandwich with added slug slime. This was much better than the day before as it actually had flavor. My fiancé ordered a chorizo and egg bagel sandwich and that was also just ok. YUMMY & CUTE place. I found this bagel place on Yelp. There was some good reviews and wanted to check it out. When we arrived there was a line out the door (social distancing was in place), it was worth the wait. I ordered the chorizo & guacamole bagel sandwich. It was delish!! The bagel was soft and fresh, they make their own bagels and are organic (a plus). The decor of the business is cute, they sale merchandise with their store logo with the Mexican culture theme. I am a big Frida Kahlo fan, so to see a big picture of Frida on the wall I was sold. If you are visiting Eureka, totally recommend stopping here. read more

A few decades ago, I lived in an apartment a few blocks from this location, and I was a regular due to their excellent bagels, delicious cream cheeses, and dedication to using fresh and tasty ingredients. Their coffee is also first rate. My wife and I just recently returned to vacation and visit with friends and our most current visit was just as delicious as we had remembered. Always great. On a return visit to Eureka in June '21, decided to give Los Bagels a return visit too. The bagel sandwiches were mostly what we remember. They were all delicious, including the Grandpa Goren and Farm Scramblers. The gluten-free bagel did not seem to be as tasty as the prior trip. Not sure if they changed the recipe, or perhaps there was something up with the batch that day. We still appreciate that they offer it though. One thing that would not go unnoticed, however, was the price. For two people getting a pair of egg sandwiches, a single extra bagel/slug, and coffees, we were running totals of close to $40. On the second visit this this trip, I requested a slug with chive cream cheese. Which apparently is a garlic-chive spread here. For this custom spread alone, we were charged $5. While the garlic flavor was intense, and the spread was put on thick, that charge seems excessive. A couple bucks more and we could have just gotten another scrambler sandwich. On that second visit, we did not get the coffees, but instead picked up one of the lime corn cookies and the gluten free coffee cake. Both were very good and would get again. read more

To start, we've been going to los bagels for 20 years and the bagels are absolutely delicious and the drinks are too, but we recently went to los bagels in old town. They are now charging $1.25 for slug slime, and they barley put any on when we asked for extra. The containers the Larapin sauce come in are smaller. We ordered three drinks, all which were weak and tasted like muddy water. When I took the drinks back the staff was I polite and said there was nothing they could do. I asked if they could add more of the mix they said no so I asked for a refund. They refunded two out of three drinks because my daughter had already started drinking hers. I absolutely love Los Bagels! They have excellent toppings and many local favorite combos to choose from. My personal favorite is the cucumbin, but sometimes I make my own with vegan cream cheese, tomato, cucumber and capers. Their espresso drinks and chai are also fantastic, and I love their baked good--Los Bagels might be the only place that serves knish in Humboldt. I recently had their cherry empanada and I can't wait to have another. (I am secretly hoping that someday they offer a tofu scrambagel with soyrizo or veggie bacon ... we'll see.) read more
