a bar with chairs and a television

Been here wayyyy to many times to count and enjoyed every single meal I've had here. Chili relleno is my go to but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Service is top notch, Jesus is the man. Atmosphere is awesome, always love the high tops by the bar.

Great tacos!

The lunch menu has some really great deals - love coming here with coworkers as there is something great and affordable for everyone. There's a halibut taco that is incredible and, at least in October, a veggie taco option that was squash blossom (flor de calabaza)... oh my god. I'm still dreaming about it. AMAZING. One of the best tacos I've ever had. There was a griddled cheese layer and pops of pomegranate seeds. For $13, plus the great chips and salsa, it is filling and well worth it.

Stopped in a bit early on a Monday evening. It's $8 margarita day!! We started with the mango disfruta and spicy skinny margs. Both were really tasty! The spicy skinny actually has a bit of a kick, which we loved! They normally give it a tajin rim, garnish with a jalapeño slice and call it a day. This had the flavor! The complimentary chips and salsa were really tasty too. Chips tasted fresh, the brownish salsa was my favorite--very flavorful! They also make their own hot sauces in house which were great! I got the al pastor taco plate. The meat was slightly chewy, but the taste was good. The tortilla fell apart midway but was good anyway. The rice and beans were very tasty as well. My brother got the combo steak soft taco and the verde chicken enchilada. He said the steak seemed a bit overcooked (they initially forgot the taco so brought it later) and he loved the chicken enchilada. Service left a little something to be desired. We had to track her down to remind her to bring the hot sauce and let her know they forgot a taco. Ambiance is nice, bar is good looking too. It's a bar style Mexican restaurant.

The food was good, we got here at 6:30 on a Sunday night, not very busy there maybe 5 tables total both indoors and outdoors We were greeted and got sat by the host, she let us know the server will be right with us, which is fine because we were still looking at the menu. But a few minutes went by and still we're not greeted by the server, the host took our drink and food order. My favorite part of this experience was the horchata!

We were looking for an upscale Mexican restaurant. We hit the jackpot! The unique and diverse menu was amazing. The variety of dishes made such an impact. We had a very polite server as well. I had the quinoa salad with halibut. The flavors were on point. Another person in our party had the watermelon and tuna ceviche. This was one of the best ceviches I have ever tasted. This is a must if you want something fresh and delicious. I prefer freshly made margaritas and they did not disappoint. So tasty!

Enjoyed a delicious dinner tonight. My favorite Mexican dish is a crunchy hard taco. The taco I got was delicious, it had some tasty shredded beef on it, onions, cilantro and lettuce and was perfect. It was freshly made to order and the flavors came through. I also got a cheese enchilada and oh my this thing had me wanting more. The red sauce on it was delicious, freshly made again I was blown away! Loved every bite of this dish! The ambiance there is nicely upscale with upbeat music. The place was not busy, service was a bit slow for it being a slow day. I will definitely come back

Quesadilla

I need to come in for a full sit down here. I tried the lunch quesadilla and took it back to the office. It wasn't bad but it just seemed like cheese and steak on the inside. Great cheese though! Also a little thin. Now, of the Mexican places nearby this isn't a bad choice! This one is the most upscale seeming, where it's got a classy ambiance as compared to the others. Their plates from the others patrons seems delicious! It is more upscale than chipotle or El toro and less hipster than candado. Idk if you take that as a plus or minus, depends what you're looking for, but if you want class go here.

The three stars is just for the food, but I overheard an inappropriate comment from the staff (directed to us) that sort of ruined the mood. It will be a while before we come back.

We Found this restaurant while staying downtown Indianapolis. Jesus , our waiter was unbelievably incredible. He gave the best service ever. He even made our alcohol drinks with love and passion. The atmosphere is very nice. With a cute bar and nice decor. The food was delicious. We tried several items and everything was quality and made fresh to order. Everything was hot and fresh and filled with flavor. I loved the chunky guacamole and the crab enchiladas. Parking can be difficult but you will eventually find parking. Great place to dine.

Chunky guacamole

When I say, this is a really good spot for Mexican food in Indiana I highly recommend. The food is exceptional. It was really good quality and very authentic to start off with the starters. I ordered the chunky guacamole without onions and cilantro and tomatoes and omgeee let me tell you it was so flavorful and so good, I would say this is a must to order for your starter. It was really good and make sure you order the chunky guacamole because they have different kinds. It's also shareable. For my entrée, I shared the chicken and steak fajitas with my mom and I only ate chicken because I was full of the yummy guacamole.. the fajitas is very tender, moist, marinated, and sizzled, which is important when it comes to the fajitas lol. For my drink I tried the Grand margarita which is $35 but what is so unique about this place is that they have margaritas and cocktails that are $100 and the highest one called millionaire margarita that is $350 which is very expensive, but I also think that's elite because it's rare when you see those type of drinks at that price at a Mexican restaurant. I would recommend if you try that make sure your on baller status ha ha. You also have dessert options, my sister tried the churros and she said it was very good. The server was phenomenal. We had the chance to have Jesus as our server, and he was very down to earth of attentive just overall a very good person. And checked on us the whole entire time and made it feel like we were at home. We stayed there for many hours and we just kept talking because of the ambiance is very nice and cool vibe place with a nice bar. It is also clean inside and outside exterior as well. It is located in the right area which I believe is considered downtown Indianapolis. It's plenty of street parking, they do have a parking lot structure but please make sure you listen to the guidelines and the hours limits because it is possible you will get a ticket. I highly recommend los Arroyos and I will be definitely stopping back here before I leave. It was that good I promise you won't regret if you try this place! -Marshay D.

I've eaten here multiple times and have grabbed meals to-go, so it's about time I gave Los Arroyos a review! It's so nice and convenient to have a great Mexican spot nearby. $8 margs on Monday, $3 tacos on Tuesday, and $12 ceviche specials on Wednesday. What's there not to like? And on days where I miss the happy hour special, you can see me ordering the molcajete. The grilled mix of meat, salsa, cheese, cactus, and veg is awesome. And what's even better is the fact that you'll have at least 2 days of leftovers. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive and are so sweet even when guests are sitting past closing time. I love the complementary chips and salsas provided, and if the margaritas, I think the Havana is the best!

Great food and great service. We came here for a party and the servers were attentive and kind. The food is always amazing.. enough for leftovers the next day! The prices are great as well.

My sisters and I tried Los Arroyos for the first time tonight. The food was very tasty but in my opinion overpriced. The place was nicely decorated as a casual yet upscale restaurant.

The ceviche is excellent! I strongly recommend it. And whatever the other salsa you get with the chips is dangerously addictive.

Even with the rush, I was able to snag a seat quite quickly. I was so impressed by how efficiently the staff cleared and prepared my table; it's those little touches of attentiveness that really make a difference. I decided to keep things classic and ordered the Asada Tacos. The service was remarkably swift my order arrived in under ten minutes, which is exactly the kind of efficiency I adore. While the initial presentation was a bit more understated than I anticipated, the flavor was a total 8/10 triumph! The staff was also incredibly accommodating when it came to my preferences; they brought over a lovely selection of chips and sauces, but were perfectly gracious when I mentioned I prefer to avoid the heat. These are truly some of the best tacos I've had the pleasure of trying lately. I will most certainly be a regular here!

You have to buy a basket of chips, but it's very inexpensive and so worth it for the salsa bar! Lastly, the Al pastor is the bomb. The restaurant is sleek and has a cool vibe, but we immediately realized it was not going to be what we thought of when we saw "street tacos" mentioned during Google search. It's more of a metropolitan American Soul fusion place, with a heavy emphasis on loaded, uniquely flavored tacos instead of traditional Mexicana. The server was wonderful in explaining their menu and gave multiple recommendations, which I went with all of her great suggestions once I told her what I was craving. My husband didn't enjoy his appetizer, saying it tasted too sweet instead of savory for him, but the server was great at being aware of our plates and took the appetizer off our bill when she noticed he wasn't eating it without us even mentioning it. I got three different tacos, and the only one I didn't enjoy was due to the Mac n cheese that was stuffed in it. It just didn't taste or feel right having a taco with macaroni that was pushed in so densely that it became a sponge. The other two were great! My husband gave his burrito a 3/5, as he felt it was too much one note. Overall, don't come here if you're looking for upscale Mexicana, but instead want to enjoy interesting fusion flavors and fun cocktails. Great place for a group outing or celebration!

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10.
