Third time not good. First two times were doable. It was a Thursday evening. Our waiter obviously knew NO ENGLISH. Good thing we could point to the menu. My food looked as if it had been freshly barfed up. The serving of queso and chips were the highlight. Now let's talk about my Diet Coke! I kept saying, this doesn't taste right. I had my husband try it and we discovered it was alcohol. And quite a lot of it. For someone who doesn't drink it was pretty disgusting. I'm just glad it wasn't a child's drink. The waiter had no clue what we were trying say about it. Then the manager and a snooty female employee came to the table. She pretty much stared me down like I was from space. WEIRD. 3 Agaves is bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. The dining room is clean, comfortable and colorful. We were seated quickly and servers were friendly and efficient. Water and complementary chips came out quickly. I like their salsa - it's chunky. They have great lunch and daily specials. I had the taco salad, Im on a health kick. The shell was crisp and the salad was ok. I forgot to tell them to skip the sour cream. My husband had the Chimichanga, which was beautiful, delicious and a heck of a deal. He ate every bite and he loved it, especially the fresh pico and guacamole. I was disappointed that the restroom was out of order. I really wanted to wash my hands. We excitedly watched this space on the corner of US-136 and Tansel Road transform from an empty diner and CBD store into this large, colorful professionally-managed restaurant. This is the third restaurant in a small chain with other popular locations in Camby and Avon. We went the night they opened, and have been back several times since, and have been very pleased. They are very well staffed so service is attentive and fast. They have an extensive menu with all the Mexican standards, nothing super unique, but everything we've tried has been good. Mostly, we were thrilled that the frozen house margaritas are served from a frozen drink machine giving them the perfect consistency. The jumbos are a perfect size; I would reserve the Monster size for a birthday or a Saturday night! Menu prices are good, with most entrees in the $10-$12 range. I believe they have specials throughout the week (taco Tuesday, Senior Wednesdays, etc). If you live in the area, watch Valpak for coupons. There's a tiny parking lot behind the restaurant If none is available, I believe you can park in the strip mall across US-136 or the parking lot at the church across Tansel. read more

I've been to alot of Mexican restaurants and this one was disappointing. While the decor was entertaining the food was not. The staff all seemed Hispanic the food was not. I would skip this place for Taco Bell. It was as if some white people who never had Mexican food took their best shot at it and failed. I love Mexican food and this ain't it. I was excited to see this local chain put up a location in CLermont. They took a chance on a location that is a notorious business killer. its a little tricky how to figure out where to park. But you should check it out because its a very solid Mexican restarant with a complete bar and high quality entrees. Its pretty much the standard menu you get at any neighborhood Mexican joint but they put some love into the ambiance and food. Service was top notch and friendly. I've been scoping this place out for months since the little diner closed and the CBD guy was run off. I've been through this all before... seeing a restaurant in this difficult spot come and go only to be back filled a few months late by something else. I have a good feeling about this one, though. 3 Agaves already has a location in Camby and Avon that I've visited and been pleased with. This space really just needed an established operator with experience and the capital to upgrade the interior to something more than a new coat of paint and they've certainly done that on the inside. I went with the enchiladas con mole which arrived looking very much like the picture from the menu. Every time I try mole, it's different. This was sweeter and not as dark as I've had before but still tasted pretty good. The kids portions and prices were a good value. Margaritas are just like they are at all the other 3 Agaves, well blended from the fro-yo machine and a little on the brown side. That's not a bad thing. They do have a small outdoor seating section and the inside has plenty of booths and larger tables to accommodate parties of 8 or more. They just opened so be gentle. I went in on the first day and was happy to see that the place was relatively full. Our food and drinks were as expected and service was good! There was a small discrepancy on the prices from the menu compared to my final bill but I had a coupon that more than made up the difference and I didn't want to get a bad reputation on my first visit at a place I plan on visiting in the future. read more

WOW!! What a phenomenal transformation from the Clermont Skillet Restaurant to 3 Agaves Mexican Restaurant. 3 Agaves purchased the Hemp Shop next door to the Clermont Skillet allowing for a larger restaurant plus a small patio. The exterior has been painted a bright red and green so it stands out and is easy to see. The parking issue is still a problem, especially if 3 Agaves becomes popular, since they only have nine parking spaces in the back of the building. The bank has agreed to allow parking which will help the parking situation. You no longer enter through the back of the restaurant but off the entrance at the corner of the restaurant by the stop light by the patio. The hostess stand is just inside the door. The new restaurant is much larger, configured well with different size tables, booths and seating at the bar. I can't wait for folks to enjoy this new, well thought-out layout of this terrific new restaurant with good food and drinks. This is the third 3 Agaves in the Central Indianapolis area with locations in Avon, Camby and now Clermont. The menu is diverse with many of the favorite appetizers, soups, salads, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, plus more of the house specialities. I enjoy the Enchiladas Cajun with shrimp and cheese, onions and tomato sauce. The various entrees are delicious and pick your favorite. I hope this new 3 Agaves does well and doesn't suffer the faint of the past three restaurants. read more

My husband and I come here with our daughter at least once every week on Fridays! We love the staff! They love us! Even during the busiest days they get to us super quick! Last time they brought us our usual appetizer before we even had our coats off! Will always be back for more! Music is always playing and you can find the staff in a good mood! 10/10 read more

The food came out fast and hot and good flavor. I've never had any mole before so I don't have anything to judge it on. Thr building is on the corner of Crawfordsville Rd and Tansel right next to the Claremont police station. There are approximately 13 parking spots and the restaurant is big enough to hold at least 60 people. They also have an outside diningvarea with 4 or 5 tables. Not sure if they get a lot of foot traffic or not but the parking spot to seating ratio is a bit off. When I got my food I sat there for a second and had to ask for utensils. I got more attention from the waiter that was not waiting on me. Not sure if my waitress was doing sidework or what, but the service wasn't great. I did come in at 1:30pm so it wasn't busy at all. I am a big fan of authentic mexican food so I really wanted to try this out. I went with my husband and one of our friends on Cinco de Mayo and it was really busy, as expected. We waited about 10 minutes and were able to get a seat at a booth in the bar. Once we were seated our waitress came and got our drink order. We got margaritas and they were pretty good, and strong. They brought out chips and salsa as well. The salsa was delicious! The chips didn't seem house made and even seemed slightly on the stale side but we ate them anyway since the salsa helped. I got the fajitas with chicken. It came with the usual, rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream and some tortillas. They were great! My husband got the wet burrito and he really liked it. Our friend got a chimichanga and it was huge but good. We'd return but not before going back to our favorite that's closer to home because their chips are fresh! read more

The service is pretty good, the staff seems like they're ready for the end of their shift and I honestly can't blame them because it 8:00 and dark outside. I ordered a chicken taco and took a bite out of two of my other tacos. The chicken was fantastic and I'm saving the chorizo for last because it may be one of my favorites. I'm too full to bite the steak taco. The salsa for the chips could be a little more flavorful but I'm just here for the tacos. The guac is fresh and the fresh jalapeños are HOT as they should be. I'm loving these rice and beans too. It's bright in here and they have the Mexican news playing. I don't speak Spanish but I guess I'm enjoying watching it. The Arnold Palmer is pretty good too I think the lemonade is top tier. They could've wiped the tables a little better but I'm not here to give them a hard time.
