Mezcal Margarita

Always in the roster for dependable, delicious food and drinks. Nothing too over the top and at a decent price. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Easy to order a drink at the bar while you're waiting for your to-go order.

It's supposed to be beef from the birria taco but this is obviously not beef.

First time eating here. I did a pickup. Ordered birria tacos, which is shredded beef. The first taco was fine, but as soon as I bit into the second, the texture was all wrong. After further inspection, the meat was still white which is unacceptable since it's beef. I couldn't even chew whatever it was, it had to been undercooked so severely. I couldn't even pull the meat apart, it was so rubbery. It completely ruined the rest of my meal. Thanks for the tummy ache.

Steak Burrito - no rice

I thought Loco was good. The staff is friendly and I love the sauce bar. I ordered the steak burrito and requested no rice. It was delicious. I thought it was a tad bit more on the oily side, but it took care of my hunger. I had a side of guacamole and the staff also gave me chips. I hope they get busier, in the evenings it seems kind of slow and quiet. Wishing them well.

Seriously cannot recommend enough!!!! They have a restaurant in Zionsville that I used to frequent, so I was VERY excited when a loco popped up downtown! This is not a sit down restaurant - you order at the counter and pay and they bring it to you or call your name (just adding this because we were not sure at first). The food is DELICIOUS and authentic! You can order online or head in to the store which is conveniently located. The staff is very helpful and nice. Also someone complained about the pricing - the price is reasonable because you get a huge portion. I was super full and still had leftovers for lunch the next day. They have a lovely topping bar where you are free to add whatever toppings you want to nachos, a burrito, tacos, etc.. This is basically like chipotle on steroids. I'm so excited for this new addition to downtown, welcome!

This location just opened in a space formerly occupied by a Patachou family of brands restaurant that closed during the pandemic. The space is very open and bright. Service was fairly quick. I felt like it was overpriced for a lunch option- I got a burrito bowl and soda and it was $18. I had hoped to just get a cup of water but they didn't have an options to accommodate that. The food was good though.

Supposedly, this was a breeder bowl, but really turned out to be a cheap Mexican taco bowl.

Convenient option. Food was edible (meat was dry, not fresh) but not with the price. Service was fast and friendly.

We were seated in their outdoor area where the heaters were not turned on and the day had been rainy and cold so most of the table was cold throughout our meal. The service was a bit slow but it being cinco de mayo, we understood that things may move a little slower than any other day. They had some specials for the day but I got my old faithful, Maria's Enchiladas with steak. It comes with rice and beans and it's just so so soooo good!!! I also got the Arroyo Margarita which was good but def could tell they were adding a bit more sour mix to the drink. Overall, it was a good experience but I will try to come back again on a day that is not as busy.

Even with the rush, I was able to snag a seat quite quickly. I was so impressed by how efficiently the staff cleared and prepared my table; it's those little touches of attentiveness that really make a difference. I decided to keep things classic and ordered the Asada Tacos. The service was remarkably swift my order arrived in under ten minutes, which is exactly the kind of efficiency I adore. While the initial presentation was a bit more understated than I anticipated, the flavor was a total 8/10 triumph! The staff was also incredibly accommodating when it came to my preferences; they brought over a lovely selection of chips and sauces, but were perfectly gracious when I mentioned I prefer to avoid the heat. These are truly some of the best tacos I've had the pleasure of trying lately. I will most certainly be a regular here!

I don't know how else to explain it. The queso is delicious. They have a salsa bar, and I'm not joking when I say there are a lot of delicious homemade salsas on the salsa bar. You have to buy a basket of chips, but it's very inexpensive and so worth it for the salsa bar! Lastly, the Al pastor is the bomb. The inside is really nice, the owners are so gracious and remember us when we come back each time. Don't sleep on this place--it's perfect for a weekday dinner or a weekend date night!

The restaurant is sleek and has a cool vibe, but we immediately realized it was not going to be what we thought of when we saw "street tacos" mentioned during Google search. It's more of a metropolitan American Soul fusion place, with a heavy emphasis on loaded, uniquely flavored tacos instead of traditional Mexicana. The server was wonderful in explaining their menu and gave multiple recommendations, which I went with all of her great suggestions once I told her what I was craving. My husband didn't enjoy his appetizer, saying it tasted too sweet instead of savory for him, but the server was great at being aware of our plates and took the appetizer off our bill when she noticed he wasn't eating it without us even mentioning it. I got three different tacos, and the only one I didn't enjoy was due to the Mac n cheese that was stuffed in it. It just didn't taste or feel right having a taco with macaroni that was pushed in so densely that it became a sponge. The other two were great! My husband gave his burrito a 3/5, as he felt it was too much one note. Overall, don't come here if you're looking for upscale Mexicana, but instead want to enjoy interesting fusion flavors and fun cocktails. Great place for a group outing or celebration!

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.
