I had enchiladas lunch there this week. It was pretty good. Really good quality veggies on top. It good but lacking something. Worth trying.

I had higher hopes for this little market/restaurant. Not to say it was bad by any means but it could have been better. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. The chips were unfortunately stale and the cheese dip was super runny with little flavor. All drinks are served out of the bottle but they do have Mexican coke which is a plus. Believe it or not, the refried beans were the star of the show. Lots of lard and very tasty. The rice was nothing special and the tacos were ok. For $4/taco I was expecting more. I'm going to give it another shot and try some other menu items. There's also a cute little market for all of your Mexican grocery needs. read more

In the area and grandkids asked for Mexican food, so stopped here after church about 12:30. Busy but several tables open so we were seated immediately. Lots of themed decorations and even a small grocery. A huge menu selection to ponder, real laminated menus (easy clean) instead of phone menu. Started with chips and queso blanco. Chips were hot, crispy and perfect and queso blanco was good. But just a small bowl that went quickly with four and no refill. Grandkids had steak tacos and chicken tacos and both said they were great. My wife ordered her usual burrito, covered in queso blanco, which she enjoyed. I opted to try the Chiles Rellenos. The taste was good but basically drowned in sauce. I much prefer a crispier version with minimum sauce. Food was very good, service was excellent. It was pretty pricey for a lunch with the grandkids, over $60, high even for a Sunday lunch. read more

I have reviewed Los Amigos dos before. But now I have to move down to three stars. Things have changed there. I always get the taco's El Pastor. Last couple times I've be ordered to go and the one time I dined in over the summer , very dry El Pastor. Ambiance is the same as always. read more

We came back here for their amazing tacos and my husbands favorite beef soup. The food is just so amazingly fresh. Best tacos I've had outside of puerto Vallarta. Seriously good Mexican food. The soup is huge with big chunks of potato's and beef. And the waitress was lovely. Also picked up a few Mexican specialties in the attached grocery store. read more

If you are looking for authentic Mexican this is your place! It's a smaller restaurant without the thrills and frills but the food is amazing! You will not get a main stream restaurant experience. It's crowded and can be loud at times. But the food is as authentic as you'll get in this area! I've had nothing bad here! They have a small grocers attached with ethnic Hispanic foods. I stopped here to check out their market for a pork roast, which they didn't have. Oh well. I did, however, order some food to go, which I've been meaning to do for awhile. I got the Carne Asada, which came with yellow rice, refried beans, sautéed peppers and onions, pico and queso fresco. The portion of steak was VERY generous and tasty. It also came with a garnish of green sauce, corn tortillas and a lime. The steak was very moist and tender. Overall, it was very good and will be stopping here again! The daily taco deal was actually fresh and seasoning tasted good. I would call first since pricing was different from what I saw online They had a decent amount of meat and the toppings were fresh. I would probably only go back for the daily deals They did have a grocery attached also. read more

This place may have to change its name to Los Amigos Tres, as I am never leaving. I am the third friend wether they like it or not. But seriously if you want authentic Mexican food don't pass on this place! I've ordered a lot of dishes from here but always come back to my tried and true, the chili relleno. This dish is perfect to me, a great balance of flavors, nothing too in your face but still bold. This place also has a little secret, the restaurant is only half the fun, the other half of the building is a grocery store with a great selection of meats, produce, and packaged products. If you're on the hunt for some products that regular grocery stores don't stock you've come to the right place. Just don't leave without a chili relleno. read more

I'm from Southern California and have scoured the Mexican restaurants around Dunedin. Have come to the conclusion that this is the best option out there. It's more expensive than I'm used to paying in CA, but I do quite enjoy their carne asada burrito. read more

It was sad and petty on both my part and that of the server and the management but I stopped going there after many visits. My friends ordered 3 sope's and told the server they were going to share. The server who's never been friendly and helpful to begin with did not inform us there was a 1$ sharing charge when we ordered. A good and caring server would have. Buying 3 normally you saved 50 cents. It would have been cheaper for us to have ordered 3 separate orders and would have made the restaurant use more plates. My friend and his wife even shared the one plate and didn't ask for another. I told them I had no issues paying the price of the price of 3 separate sope's but that a sharing charge of more was unacceptable when we in fact saved them 2 dishes. The server would not budge and refused to ask the owner /manager saying their policy is set and won't budge. So now I won't budge either out of principal. The food is not bad but not the best but close to my house. 3 better places within 2 more minutes. So for this small matter they no longer get our weekly 30$ average lunch nor the 20$ average purchase in the attached Hispanic grocery store. The other restaurants have already been more friendly and accommodating so no reason to relent. read more

Went here recently with a large group....about 10. They handled our group of adults and kids with separate checks with ease. Food was more authentic Mexican then the normal Mexican places so the flavors may vary from your expectations but I found them to be spot on. What a cool little place. Surprising, clean and tasty! You have to stop by if you're in the area. Daily specials make you want to come back. Legit tacos! And crazy affordable, Wednesday's they have steak and chicken $1.00 tacos. Anybody complaining about the size doesn't know what real tacos are, anything bigger than 3-4 bites is a burrito. They have a bunch of different kinds, I had barbacoa, steak, and chorizo. I think my favorite would have to be the steak or barbacoa. There is also a Mexican market, if you want to have a homemade Mexican dinner. read more

This place is a hole in the wall. The food was decent but overall way overpriced. Entrees should come with salsa and sour cream but this place charges you for salsa and sour cream which is just petty. Felt like I was being nickel and dimed. Two drinks out of the machine was $6 and small Queso and small chips was $7. Doesn't even come with salsa and chips. This place is dirty, run down and is half store half restaurant. I would recommend pick up only so you can take home and use your own sour cream, salsa to complete your entree. You can spend $20 on take out and save yourself $20 rather than eating there. The only thing that was a little uncomfortable was the tight seating and the lack of AC, they could definitely use some more people on staff as well, but other that that, everything was incredible! I've lived within walking distance of this restaurant for about 20 years. I FRIGGIN LOVE authentic tacos. So why on earth have I never been here until now?? I have no clue either! Last night the hankering for taco Wednesday called. I could not ignore it. I finally decided to give Los Amigos Dos a try. I wasn't sure what to expect honestly, but I was surprised to see it was a full Mexican specialty grocery store with a restaurant and sit down area. I called in a to go order of 3 tacos, two with chicken and one al pastor. When I arrived I saw a special on the wall for $1 tacos on Wednesdays!! Score! When I got home to devour my tacos, they looked authentic and tasted pretty good. Nice soft corn tortillas. Red sauce (which had a smoky flavor I didn't care for) and green sauce (two thumbs up) and a simple lime wedge accompanied the tacos. Definitely authentic in my book. The chicken taco was great - well seasoned, cooked just right. The al pastor was a bit too crunchy and over cooked for my preference Overall I give it a "yes" on recommending to others.
