Worth it. Casa Ceviche - fresh, bright, and made me feel like I suddenly understood the ocean Yucca Fries - crispy, golden, and honestly... why are regular fries even trying anymore? Then the mains came out and everything got serious. I had enchiladas (don't ask which ones, I was emotionally overwhelmed), and they were covered in a sauce so good I considered asking for a side of it to take home and bathe in. Someone else got the Mole Poblano, and I'm pretty sure I watched them have a full spiritual awakening mid-bite. Like... eyes closed, head tilted, rethinking life decisions. Another hero at the table ordered Tacos de Birria, dipped them in consommé like a seasoned professional, and I immediately knew I've been eating tacos wrong my entire life. Also--whoever invented the option to mix and match everything on this menu clearly woke up and chose chaos (the best kind). You want beef, chicken, jackfruit, shrimp, AND portobello? Go off. I can see why Casa Tina has such a good reputation. The place is well decorated with a homey, lively vibe, and the service was great. There was also plenty of street parking right in front. The queso fundido was okay, but the quesadilla was great and the sweet plantains were amazing. The Oaxacan Old Fashioned was my favorite drink of the entire trip, so good that I actually went back a second time. For dessert, the crepes de cajeta were interesting. The crepe itself was a little too soggy for me, but the ice cream was fantastic. Definitely one of the memorable stops from our time in Dunedin. read more

We had a party of 10 for which I had made reservations for. They sat us all pretty quickly however it was at the front of the restaurant near the windows so we were a little disappointed because if you're sitting on the side of the tables facing the window you cannot see the people across from you very well due to the glare. The food was good everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees. Service was much better from the bartender's than the wait staff though. Love this place from the minute I walked in, super friendly staff and the decor was really nice too ..they have a really nice menu...lots of choices. Chips and Sauca are not complimentary, Salsa is delish! Guacamole and Chips, amazing..Guacamole is the best I have had! I had an extremely disappointing experience at Casa Tina because of our server. My sister loves this restaurant and waa excited to take me-we visited in July 2026. The hostess warmly greeted us as soon as we walked in and was very nice, so I expected good things. But our server Marisela treated us very poorly and it seemed like she barely tolerated us being there- it was very shocking. She was not warm or friendly and everytime we ordered something (which is what you do at a restaurant) she seemed like we were inconveniencing her. When we asked to share dessert, we got an inexplicable smirk from her. I can't even begin to guess why she treated us so bad, because we were very nice to her, and watching her with other tables she had a smile and laughs to share with others. The only positive was the food was delicious, otherwise I would have given this place a 1-star rating. Regardless of how good the food was, I wouldn't go back- to be treated with such disregard when you're paying good money is totally unacceptable. Note: We did speak with the floor manager on duty who said she was going to escalate our complaint; I hope she does, but just in case that doesn't happen, I hope management reads this review and tells their employees to treat guests with respect. read more

First visit to Casa Tina and we enjoyed it. I will say that the prices here are quite high so not a place I could visit on a regular basis. We ordered lower priced items. We ordered Monterrey Nachos ($13.95) which had black beans, Monterrey Jack & queso fresco cheeses, sour cream and sliced jalapeños. Quesadillas with cheese and a fire roasted salsa for dipping ($10.50) and we ordered American Tacos with Cactus, tomato, lettuce, cheese and sour cream ($16.95). Service is friendly and as attentive as we wanted. The restaurant is decorated for Christmas so it felt nice and festive. You can tell that the restaurant is normally decorated really nice and stylish. The food is tasty and fresh. Definitely a place to consider visiting if you are on the area. read more

A Mexican restaurant located in downtown Dunedin, FL. There is seating inside or on the patio. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside. The place was nicely decorated for Christmas. We did not have to wait. Their menu has a big variety/options to choose from. The food was delicious. Our waitress, Paula, was attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Wow! This place was beyond what I expected. Since the smokehouse we wanted to go to I ended up randomly picking this place. The reviews were mixed but we were starving and figured let's just check it out. Service was absolutely great, waitress was attentive and ensured we were okay the entire time. Their margaritas were delicious even the house one! The mango spicy one was def the fave though. Now the food...ceviche was tasty. The carnitas were so good especially with the rice, beans, onions, and cilantro on corn tortillas. My hubby had the flounder which was delicious! My son had the cheeseburger which he loved. My daughter had grilled chicken with rice and fries and she loved it especially their rice. Overall a great experience. We would recommend if you are in the area. So I came back during the Cinco De Mayo fest they have at Dunedin...And speaking as someone who's eaten here solo a couple of times, I will say a few things. I find the way they serve non-bar solo customers really confusing...You see, if you aren't sitting at the bar and you're at solo seating, you have to physically go to the bar to either get a menu or be served what you want. Not really a problem but the sign that indicates it is a bit vague on that part. I assumed it was in regard to alcoholic drinks, but I guess it's in regard to...Well...Everything. I get why they do that but still, leaving solo customers to fend from themselves is definitely a first. Also, if you're solo, expect service to be slower than if you're in a group even after you establish yourself as a paying customer. Having said that, they're polite when you approach the bar area and the environment is definitely warm and well decorated so I absolutely commend them on that. I do want to try some of their main courses again in-spite of my previous experience, so I look forward to coming back on a later day. read more

We prefer coming for lunch on weekends because it's less crowded -- especially if you go at 2:30/3. We also enjoy the lunch specials which are available even on weekends between 11-3. Be sure to visit around Christmas or Halloween -- the decor is so nice. I have to say they were quite busy because it's a holiday weekend and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that the steak on my quesadilla was shredded. That's on me for not asking how it was served. read more

I'm going to have to move Casa Tina up to my #1 Mexican restaurant in Pinellas County. Fresh. Home made. Great taste combinations. Authentic meals. Unique décor. Family owned and operated. We got the chips with a trio of salsas; roasted tomato, guacamole and queso fundido. Chips were thinner than most places but could hold up to the chunkiest of salsas. The tomato salsa was chunkier than I am used to, but incredible flavor. It would make a great side salad all by itself. We also got their "3 Amazing Hot Sauces". And they were. One avocado based sauce tasted very fresh, refreshing and green. Another had a smokey taste and the other was a wonderfully hot red sauce. We got the Arroz Cabezon. It was a mix of shredded chicken and pork in a pibil sauce which is made with a mixture of spices and annatto. This could have easily been made with a tomato sauce with chili seasoning. Not here. They went with a traditional Yucatan dish. The pickled red onion topping was an unexpected flavor add. One of the main reasons why this restaurant is now at the top of my Mexican restaurant list is the wide diversity of dishes; Grilled corn, ceviche and smoked salmon nachos. Queso Panela Salad and Posole. Pescado ala Veracruzana. And I've never seen Tacos De Lengua (beef tongue) anywhere. Paula, our server was excellent. She was always there when we needed her. She was knowledgeable about the food and how it is prepared. The décor is varied and incredible. Not the typical stuff on the walls. Chairs were decorated with hand carvings. There are quite a few family photo collages around which really show a sense of family pride in the place. read more

Delicious food and wonderful ambiance. There was an aerialist performing while we were eating, and the decor is a wonderful blend of day of the dead and Frida Kahlo. My wife and I had the dos moles: both were delicious. The poblano is sweet and earthy, while the verde is savory and flavorful. My son had the flounder fajitas and loved them. My wife and I are vegan, and they actually had both portobellos and jack fruit as plant based substitutes. The service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended! read more

We really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the food was disappointing overall. We ordered tacos de lengua and posole soup. The rice was undercooked, and the lengua tacos was very dry, crunchy, unseasoned which made the tacos hard to enjoy. The only thing we liked was the posole soup--it was flavorful and comforting, and the service was actually good as well. However, the main dishes didn't meet our expectations, especially for the price. Because of that, we wouldn't recommend going out of your way to eat here. When I looked up the rating for Casa Tina, I was a little surprised that it was lower than what I expected. We were in Dunedin last night for Dia de los Muertos, and I believe it was put on by Casa Tina's.. They had singers, a little skit and dancers very nice performance anyways we decided to go eat at the restaurant and I had Mor and Mor there. It was a two type thing. It was delicious. I really enjoy the regular. They're black beans or scrumptious. My husband had a Fish dish and it was mahi-mahi. It tasted really good. From the menu: Soft corn tortillas filled with chicken, beef,veggies, cheese, or anyone combination. Baked in a slightly spicy New Mexico red chili sauce and topped with onions, queso cotija,cilantro and sour cream. It comes with black beans and rice. After reading recent reviews I was expecting some amazing food. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The enchiladas were average. The sauce wasn't spicy at all. The rice and beans were average as well. I had a fantastic lunch here, but I think the main point of this review is just such an amazing area downtown Dunedin Florida is. It's something out of a Hallmark Christmas movie and I happen to be there two weeks before Christmas so the entire downtown area including Casa Tina was all decorated for Christmas. Our server was Paula, who was really fantastic and explained several things on the menu, but also the specials for the day and I ended up going with the enchilada Roja. The menu is huge FYI. I wish I would've taken a picture of it as it came with this wonderful red sauce that went very well with the entire meal. Huge portion for $16. We did start out with the house trio sampler, which is the house, salsa, house, guacamole, and house, cheese sauce with the chips and I highly recommend that as well. We went to the Dunedin Arts Festival and Farmers Market last Saturday. It's was a great opportunity to take in the sights. For lunch we decided to have lunch at Casa Tina. They had a special lunch menu for the festival. I enjoyed the chicken taco salad and hubby had the taco special. Very yummy house skinny margarita and chips were tasty with three different sauces. Today we came here for lunch and had a nice meal much to my surprise. Why? Because I'm still on the hunt for awesome Mexican food in this area. Now today's meal is a strong contender and was close to getting 5 stars but there were a few misses. Let's talk about the positive first. The vibe, atmosphere, speed of your food and service were all top notch! Even the hostess was friendly and offered to take our stroller to hold in the back and even brought us a high chair. We started with some Guac with different salsas besides the pico de gallo which was tasty and fresh. The other two salsas were not spicy nor flavorful but kinda watery. I did the house Marg and Mo did another type of Marg which was waaaay better than the House version. Sorry I forgot the name of hers. I ordered the Carnitas con Chicharrones en Salsa Verde. Let me just say "wow! because not only was it tasty and the Carnitas were fried a little but there was some Nopales in there as well! The negative was the rice (Bland) and the beans (I really didn't care for the watery down Frijole Negro beans). I did appreciate the homemade tortillas they have there.
