Me and my boyfriend came here last night 1/4/2022. It was pretty busy around 6 pm. They have a drive thru which is nice but he went in and ordered them go. It didn't take very long to receive the food. We both a meat and two sides. I got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes/gravy, and fried okra. He got the meatloaf, corn and greens. Both plates had a large enough serving of meat for us to split them and share. The country fried steak was ok. Tasted more like frozen. Not freshly fried. No crunch at all. The meatloaf was good but needed more of the ketchup like sauce. I would probably return to try other things because we do like country cooking as we are both from this area. They got the two girls from the Pueblo working on the front line. Let me tell you, these two are mean, rude and down right horrible. They are the worst thing that could have ever happened to Loretta's. They are nasty in their ways when Allen is not there, thinking they can get away with treating customers with severe disrespect. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I went through the drive thru on 6/27/20 to pick up breakfast. I returned home and opened the to go container to find a USED bandaid stuck to the top of the syrup cup (pictures attached)!! I called the restaurant 4 times and spoke with the manager who said the owner WAS aware of the disgusting incident. I requested to speak with the owner several times during all 4 conversations - only to be told that he was "too busy" to speak with me. Unfortunately, he's chosen to completely ignore the despicable incident. This is a MAJOR health violation and it will be reported to the health dept. My family eats at either Loretta's or Nichols Diner 2-3 times a week and this is how he repays a loyal customer. I will never be back. Don't let this happen to you or your family! Just because these days things are out of the norm doesn't mean quality of the food and the experience should be completely overlooked. That being said I known that there are a lot of guidelines that keep thing from being done the way it has been in the past. I was not impressed with the food. It was ok. But what got me was that there is condensation dripping from all the air vents. When you're walking to the table at the table over the food prep area. It can't be sanitary! The employees were fine. They have to deal with this whole COVID thing. That's not their fault. I wouldn't recommend this place right now. read more

This place has good food, but it's always packed and you can't go during the off hours like we usually do to restaurants because they close between 2:00 and 4:30. So we almost never go. The line is just ridiculous, and there are so many people it's loud and all the best seats (booths) are usually taken. Love Loretta's! I have eaten here for breakfast, and dinner. (sometimes both in the same day) I love that they have a drive through because I can grab something before I go to class besides an unhealthy hamburger and fries. Also at breakfast the biscuits are filled inside with eggs, bacon,or whatever you want. They don't "short cut" their food so you won't end up still hungry or feeling cheated. Inside the buffet is always VERY CLEAN and the food is always fresh and full of taste. They have healthy choices (baked chicken- so good) and treat day choices (banana pudding). I would recommend Loretta's to anyone who likes a mom and pop business with REAL country food (unlike the processed junk from McDonald's some are used to). read more

This place has been going downhill lately. The last 2 times I've gone thru the drive thru window my order has been wrong. On Monday I questioned the young lady at the window if my order was complete. She said yes in a condescending manner. Got home and the bread and pie were missing. Very disappointing. I will not be going back. read more

Microwave food taste better than this. Buffett set up with boiled food. I think they put all the food in one big pot and boil it. Then they lightly fried the chicken and use the left over water to make the mash potatoes. read more

You are THE decadent breakfast spot I dream of when my thoughts turn to creamy grits, sugary French toast, fat, crispy sausage links and a buttermilk biscuit smothered in sawmill gravy!! I only eat here 2 or 3 times a year because I want to live to see my children grow old and I'd like to still fit in my pants but it isn't your fault I lose all self control when I walk down the cafeteria line and start grabbing slabs of fried meats and plates of sweet, syrupy goodness. The atmosphere is simple, Southern cafeteria style. Grab your utensils and walk down the line with a tray plucking a few bacon slices here and some cheese eggs there. Yes, you could pick the fresh fruit bowl but WHY?? Get a drink at the end of the line, pay for your mountain of food and take it to a table to eat amidst the locals who know a good thing when they eat it and old timers talking about the cold weather they're expecting this winter. Eating here is usually pretty fast in and out the door but if you are in a big hurry there's a drive through. Grab a giant chicken biscuit for everyone in your vehicle. Just adding to George C's review, the okra, turnip greens and green beans were very good. Fried chicken (only breasts available) was very tasty and tender. Chopped steak and gravy was good. Banana pudding very flavorful and not too sweet. The servers were all very friendly. Even though Lorreta's is not far off of I-985, the lunch patrons appeared to be exclusively local. Ugh! What a colossal disappointment!! Loretta's is nothing more than a cafeteria where you get in line, grab a tray, plate, utensils and napkins and select from a variety of foods in heating trays. My husband had scrambled eggs (the only eggs offered), bacon and a biscuit. I had a biscuit and supposedly sausage gravy. The gravy was completely tasteless, runny and had no real visible sign or taste of sausage. I also had scrambled eggs, link sausage and cheese grits. The cheese grits were completely tasteless and very runny. The only winners were the biscuits, bacon and link sausage. Again, a HUGE disappointment! For $16, McDonalds serves a better breakfast. This place has a old fashion country food at a great price. You can tell it is well run and they pay attention to detail. Drive through is always busy but the line moves quick. I'm not sure you can get a better meal for the price. Portions are large and plenty for an adult male. My entire family (two adults and 2 kids under 7) ate there for $25. We all got our own meals and there were leftovers. I love leftovers! Breakfast and lunch are equally as good. I strongly recommend Loretta's! read more

We came in for a Saturday lunch. The signs and prices were very confusing. Somehow, one piece of chicken, green beans and a small cup of Brunswick stew and a water were $13. When I asked the cashier how the lunch items are priced she told me to look at my receipt. The food was good but I am certain we were over charged by the way we chose our items. I love this place! The food-to-price ratio just cannot be beat. The buffet ALWAYS has a veggie protein, beans. Yeah I know they are prob cooked w a little essence of meat, but after 27 yrs as vegetarian, I will make little compromises, it still ain't a 12-oz steak. The staff and customers are wonderful North Georgia country folk, and I love them. There are lots of fried and gravy-ed meats, and a baked/grilled, too; many choices. Amazing, really. Stopped by this morning to order same breakfast I have in the past with no issue. When I get to the drive thru I'm only given a portion of my order. After questioning the server, I automatically get get a condescending answer as if I was wrong. I explained myself again and then was met with two other coworkers jumping into tell me it was mistake. I wasn't in the mood to argue with them so I just gave them my wrong order back told them to keep the money and drove away.
