The brunch dishes look amazing too. My only small complaint was that initial service was a bit sluggish when we first sat down, taking almost fifteen minutes just to get water and take our drink order, and my side of fries came out pretty limp and inconsistent compared to how crispy the tots were. Once the meal got moving though, the chill vibe and tasty food made it a really solid lunch overall. the standout comfort food and the super laid-back environment are the absolute best parts about this place. That chicken-fried ribeye is tender, perfectly seasoned, and total comfort on a plate, while the loaded tots are an incredible appetizer to share with the table. The overall space feels warm, casual, and unpretentious, making it a awesome spot to kick back with friends.

My friend suggested this place and specially burnt ends- which Ive never had before. Well this place did not disappoint. Its five star baby! I ended up getting a choose 2 plate which includes 2 meats and 2 sides. I did have the burnt ends and turkey; brussel sprouts with carrots and fried okra. Everything was delicious, the brussel sprouts had no bacon (which is plus for me). The one and only thing I would say is a little more flavor on the fries okra... but thats just me. Put some salt on it a keep it moving. Now they had some corn muffins that were good but huney let me tell you about the butter with the jabanero jam! Wow, wow, wow! The service was great from everyone but special shout out to Matt who was patient and kind even tho we were one of those annoying people who came in less than an hour before close. The manager came by and greated everyone. We really wanted to meet the chef and pay our complements but he was probably ready to go since we were there late. Looks like they have outdoor seating as well. If I lived here- this would deffinately be my go to.

Good thing for me, they are open on Sundays to take all my money (Let's be honest, I was throwing it at them). Okay, fine, I'll talk about the food... YUMMMM. Ordered the brisket & rib combo plate. Meat was falling off the bones and flavored to perfection. Comes with two sides - I got the above mentioned jalapeño corn bread & greens beans. Came with an unapologetically absurd amount of butter - aww, they know my love language. My favorite part is the chewy, sweet pieces of corn they add to the batter. Reminds me of Jiffy... IYKYK. Now the sauce - IMO Texas bbq style. Bold, red and perfect balance of sweet & tang. They allow 2 choices so I selected spicy and regular. Both highly recommended. Lastly, I tacked on a side of their green cabbage slaw; it couldn't be skipped. It indeed is green, has a great crunch and not too creamy. Overall - fantastic flavor, quick service & quality ingredients. My brother is a huge fan of ribs so you better believe I texted him pics to bait him into visiting soon. I ordered takeout this time but we'll visit the restaurant when he comes to town!

We haven't been since they expanded the front area for extra seating. It was nice to see; however we were crammed (party of two) in a corner table of the original seating area. My first thought, I hope an emergency doesn't require us to get out in a hurry because we were blocked in by people, tables and chairs. I looked around for a max occupancy sign. Not sure if Oklahoma abides by it anyway. The food is always served fast, plenty and delicious. BUT, the chicken fried steak is mostly batter. The batter is crunchy and delicious but the steak is so pounded thin that it's essentially not even a steak. I've had beef jerky thicker. I would rather have it smaller and thicker than large and thin. My husband ordered an omelette from gf the senior menu. He was pleased with the size and the overall omelette. The server was fantastic. I wish I got his name. He was very attentive, playful and very friendly. We need many more of him.

We tried the blackened fish, the shrimp fettuccine pasta, a salad, and the gumbo, whew our socks were blown off. Everything was really tasty and the meat was fresh and seasoned super well. This may be one of my favorite pastas in OKC! The servings are a lot of bang for your buck -- we walked out stuffed, with lunch for tomorrow. New fave on my list, great for every night eats.

Unfortunately, the entrée didn't work for me. I believe it was a cream-sauce étouffée with shrimp and blackened catfish?, and the portion was huge. While the price point seemed inexpensive for the amount of food you receive, the flavors just didn't come together. It was extremely salty, had an overpowering spice that lingered on the back of my tongue, and overall just felt like there was too much going on. I ended up leaving most of it because it was genuinely difficult for me to eat. As someone born and raised in southeastern Louisiana, I know my perspective may be different from someone/OKC residents who isn't familiar with Cajun food. There's a GREAT misconception that Cajun food is supposed to be extremely spicy, when in reality, Louisiana food is about layers of flavor and seasoning, not simply heat, if any. For me, this dish was missing that balance. I will say the bartender was very sweet, attentive, and personable, and I really enjoyed our conversation. The customer service was definitely a positive!! Unfortunately, though, I wouldn't recommend the food based on my experience, and it's not somewhere I would return if I'm back in OKC. The portions were generous, but more food doesn't make up for a lack of balance and flavor.
