I was able to do the new patient paperwork beforehand and the online system was clear and easy to use. The office was clean and upscale in appearance. Dr. Dagron was lovely. Efficient, kind and a great guide when deciding what to get. My old optometrist was always trying to upsell me on services but I felt like Dr. Dagron just wanted to get me what I needed (glasses and contacts) and best leverage my insurance rates. I highly recommend Eyes On You Optometry if you want a professional and empathetic optometrist and an exceptional experience from beginning to end!

We were able to find a nice pair here (costly but that was ok), and got an updated eye test/prescription. Unfortunately, after a couple of days they were causing headaches and eye pain. He decided to continue to wear them since they were knee and maybe needed to get used to it. Still nothing. Called the store, and got seen. The primary doctor there made some adjustments, and took them back. Same thing, they resulted in pain/headaches. The dr felt careless and not very understanding, let alone interested in getting this right. Not returning given the lack of care and professionalism around this. We thought we'd find our new neighborhood eye glass shop too, but that was a fail.

During our conversation, she was very brief and did not ask what I felt were standard questions typically asked when scheduling an appointment. The only information requested was my name and whether I was interested in purchasing glasses. When I explained that I was seeking an eye exam, she appeared surprised and then provided available appointment times. Shortly after scheduling, I received an email stating that it was my responsibility to ensure the office had my insurance information on file and that payment was due at the time services were rendered. To better understand these requirements, I called the office for clarification. At that time, I was informed that a credit card was required to be kept on file in order to charge for late cancellations or no-show appointments. In my opinion, this information could have been communicated during the initial scheduling call had the conversation been more thorough. I understand that policies vary by practice; however, I believe the initial customer experience sets the tone for the entire relationship. Client-facing staff should be equipped to provide clear, complete information so patients feel informed, respected, and valued from the first point of contact. As a result, I chose to cancel my appointment and will seek care with a provider that is a better fit for my expectations.

They said the frame is discontinued and they don't have replacement for the plastic part, so they couldn't do anything. Thus left an 1 star in the beginning. I had my appointment canceled with No follow up for them to only bother to ask me about scheduling an annual appointment months later when I finally asked to move my records to another eye doctor. And now they won't stop emailing! Avoid! I read the other reviews. I'm not the only one who didn't get support from this team. Time line: Appointment in 2023, Then they missed my appointment in June 2024. I asked to book again with doctor: told in an unprofessional manner they were gone. As for records in June, July and August. New eye doctor got them in September. Then they tried to set me up for an appointment, 4 months or so after I tried to get info on my missed appointment. At that time I asked them to stop contact. Full story version. This wasn't a one day issue, I waited patiently for help before I couldn't put off making an appointment. It's still confusing to me because I don't know why they got rid of the doctor that I saw. I called and asked for more details but they never sent me the info. Or why I never had my appointment that I had scheduled. This place seems like a toxic workplace as it was like they were mad that I liked that other doctor. I went there a few years ago and saw a great eye doctor but a year later I guess she was gone and they had nothing kind to say? No clue. Never told me I was no longer scheduled either. So I found a new doctor but we needed my records as they had a concern and wanted my last info. I had already asked for them but with the new doctor's help I got them. After I got the records they kept calling and emailing to set up an appointment. It's like after the fourth time I tried to get my records. They finally realized I had been their previous client? Although to me it seems obvious that if I'm asking for my records to send you another doctor, I'm probably not going to set up another appointment. I'm also not traveling to the city for a person who was rude to a person they shared a practice with, I get there is drama in many industries but font drag patients into it. You can have a personal beef but learn to be kind. It was weird and I asked for my records and they never sent them and when they did it was only after I got a new eye doctor involved. And they didn't send all the tests or documentation so we had a hard time getting things done with our new doctor. They had the records, the issue was them sending them. This was all what happened about a year ago. Why am I posting this now? I asked them to remove me from all emails back in August last year. My appointments were typically in May June, and they didn't ask me if I wanted to schedule another appointment until August after I missed my one I had made with the doctor who left. Like why didn't you call at that time? No clue what happen but I am not gonna not going back. It was all weird and chaotic, please use caution! Beware new patients and beware anybody else that is considering joining this group as an additional doctor. If you had just removed me from your email list like I asked I would have just let your many bad days go as a bad day. At least start by improving your follow up! You had so many chances to make this right, and even so many chances for me not to write this as a review!

I specifically asked over the phone beforehand about getting my PPD and was never told there would be an additional charge. I have never been charged separately for a PPD at an optical office before. On top of that, I'm not convinced that my prescription came out accurately. Overall, the experience felt very scammy, especially because I specifically called ahead expecting them to be transparent about the costs. I'm honestly not sure where all of the amazing reviews came from, but I wanted to leave an honest review based on my experience. Fortunately Dr. Chew's office visits are affordable enough for me to ensure I get my yearly check up. If you haven't gotten one of those special whole eyeball scans, it's worth it to do it every once in a while as an optometrist can catch some major health issues with it. I've read online how some people have had the special scan done and then they were told to immediately go to the ER/ED by their optometrist because the scan has caught some emergent issues like potential strokes, other heart issues, etc. and even diabetes. According to WebMD "Retinal imaging takes a digital picture of the back of your eye. It shows the retina (where light and images hit), the optic disc (a spot on the retina that holds the optic nerve, which sends information to the brain), and blood vessels." Dr. Nguyen seated me almost immediately after checking in, and understood my concerns. The checkup process was routine and as soon as the doctor discovered retinal tearing, she let me know and immediately attempted to call numerous ophthalmologists to see if they can conveniently see me while I was dilated despite it being 5PM in the afternoon. I truly appreciate the efforts from Doctor Nguyen in making sure I get the optimal treatment for my visit. I'm also appreciative of the Doctor and receptionist both for staying late and taking extra care and effort for my appt without me having to ask. The following day the Doctor even left a voicemail to follow up and let me know that they've retroactively inquired with my insurance and found valid vision coverage, offering to refund a 200 dollar visit to a simple $20 copay, again, without asking! I can't ask for better service and treatment from both the office and optometric staff. I wasted a lot of time for multiple calls and emails with them and the insurance company to find out the order status, get a refund, and restore my coverage to go elsewhere. The doctor was hard to reach and never apologized. Also she is always looking for new ways to scare you into costly and unnecessary exams and treatments. I suggest going to another Optometrist who focuses on patient care over profit. Update in response to business: Notice there is no apology in the owner response. The owner uses the glasses customization (what should be a basic standard of patient care) as an excuse for their poor choice of a lab that made a mistake and delayed the order. "Their best" to keep me informed was me having to call and email several times to follow up. They did NOT offer a full refund. They offered a partial refund for just the glasses, I had to negotiate for the exam cost which I had to retake with another doctor, and that does not make up for the wasted time and inconvenience. As for treatment recommendations, they start with what will be more profitable to them. This place does not accept accountability for their actions.
