A friend recently took me to dinner for an early bday celebration, so we decided to check out Longhorn's. Everything was good from the food to the drinks. Our waitress was even very pleasant and kind. The only thing I think they can do better on is overall cleanliness, as the place smells like old carpet. If you look at the carpets you can even tell they probably haven't been cleaned in years. I get they're busy, but things like this make me nervous because what else are you not taking the time to clean. No way the employees don't notice the stench, it's very strong as soon as you walk in. This was our worst experience at a LongHorn or any steakhouse! We were seated promptly and greeted by our server that was a saving grace of the entire experience. He truly was a ray of sunshine and went out of his way to apologize for all that went wrong. We were served bread right away and brought our drinks. Things went downhill shortly after with it being communicated that the kitchen crashed and was backed up. Our appetizer came out 45 minutes after we were seated and our order placed. The next course didn't arrive to us until an hour later and was a salad!!! Our entrees followed 48 minutes after the salad. My husband had the bone in ribeye and mashed potatoes. He said the ribeye was excellent but no steakhouse was brought and it was served with a teaspoon of mashed potatoes. Our server informed that the kitchen was out of broccoli and asparagus. This seemed insane since our orders had been placed two hours before! I ordered the salmon and shrimp with rice. My plate arrived to the table minus the shrimp. Our server again apologized and we made the best of the situation. Luckily we weren't in too much of a hurry or very hungry otherwise this dining experience would have truly been horrendous. Longhorn has some really delicious food. Sometimes I come for the drinking and appetizers and some days I go all in. Today was a go all in day. I started out taking pictures, and of course I forgot to snap the main course. The bread was warm and delicious, complete with butter. I ordered the dragonfruit margarita, so yum, I'll return for another soon... long pour! The Caesar salad was crisp, with the perfect amount of croutons, Parmesan, and the dressing was perfect. My ribeye was awesome, nice cut, and flavored well, I paired it with asparagus and mashed potatoes. This evening, Jordan took great care of us. He made sure we had everything we needed during our visit. I will add that I always enjoy the service here. The ambiance was pleasant, we sat in the bar. This Longhorn location looks a bit tired and could use a deep cleaning, which seems to be a common issue for chain restaurants in Pooler. I suppose this is to be expected for a restaurant that experiences high foot traffic. My french onion soup was phenomenal! Loaded to the brim with onions, thick flavorful broth, a large piece of bread and tons of cheese! The crunchy stuff that they put on top is 100% the reason why I can't stay away from Longhorn. I also ordered the sirloin, but it arrived overcooked--completely dry and lacking any juices. However, the server was great; they took it back to the kitchen and returned with a decent steak after about 15 minutes. Had lunch here on Sunday afternoon. Jessica was our server and I will say that she may have been the best server I've ever had. She acted like she had been friends with my wife and I forever. She's checked on us constantly, a glass was never dry and empty plates were cleared almost immediately. We had to order some food to go and she made perfect suggestions. The food was excellent as well but Jessica was the real star. What makes it even more special is that everywhere you go today, customer service is practically non existent. I hope Longhorn realizes how valuable an asset she is. Although I have to say, we eat there fairly regular and their staff is always top notch. Jessica and the food is what will keep us coming back. I ordered online a medium well porterhouse online to go, got home and the steak was charred and looked like beef jerky when I got home to eat. Called for refund and manager said she will make right! I had to drive way back there to return the burnt steak and entire order, after waiting 30+ minutes for reorder, I got it and left. At this stage most have been to Longhorn. Whatever your expectations are lower them for this location. It starts with what must be the rudest hostess in the industry. I don't think it is corporate guidance to greet your guest with a snarl along the lines of "I am going to ruin your day it is an hour and a half wait and I should just shutdown". This location is in Savannah "bless your heart" Ga, adopt or die. The floors are dirty and overall facility is dirty. If you have time to lean you have time to clean. Lots of leaning - no cleaning. My other half comes prepared and we did our own clean. We skipped Ms "ruin your day" and ate at the bar. The hostest stand is visible from the bar and watching the snarl cost longhorn customers did have some entertainment value. Food came out cold and not cooked to Order. Bake potato under done, one steak cooked beyond well done. One still cold in the middle. Both served at room temperature. Try two got the steaks right. No hope on the under done baked potato's. Looks like Longhorn is struggling with beef costs so they are doing the cover it with pepper trick. Hides the low quality flavor of substandard beef. Either that or their grill is beyond dirty. Bread was still to standard. Bar staff over taxed but was able to deliver and did so with a smile. Think we will skip Longhorn for a while. read more

My family and I left. We let them know we would have 20 persons coming for dinner, we didn't expect to sit together but would appreciate any help. We understood there were no reservations. It was 7:45. We were told it would take over 90 minutes before they would begin to sit us. We decided we would get on the waitlist as we arrived, understanding the conditions weren't permitting a similar time, separate customers was ok. I said can you take the 4 of us now. He said no actually it's a 40 minute wait for 4. I do understand busy but tone and customer service demand your act a little more accommodating. The host was rude in how he spoke and his demeanor and delivery were disappointing. Longhorns customer, who has spent thousands for business purposes in my hometown is switching our business to Outback. When the restaurant is busy the Manager need to be visible and engaging to project the right image, even on the busiest of nights. We were looking for a place close to our hotel because it was raining. We almost didn't come here because of the reviews but I'm so glad we did. We sat at the bar and had the nicest bartender ever, she was upbeat, funny and provided excellent service. First out was our salads, super large for a side salad and the romaine was so perfect, like it was just picked. Normally I have to pick out the brown lettuce from a salad. We live in the Pooler area and have visited this Longhorn numerous times over the years.... in the past year (2025) the restaurant has fans installed in the dining area due an apparent issue with the cooling system.... It was hot in the dining area the last time we dined in (9-2025)...customers have to step over a large group of wiring that is powering the fans...we were served in plastic cups because the dishwasher was broken...last week I got take-out, they were out of baked potatoes and bread ??? This is my second review of LongHorn, my first one was a year or so ago and it was not good, mainly due to poor service. Today, I will give a much higher rating. First off, I have to say that I have not had steak here but they have an excellent lunch deal. My husband and I come here at least twice a week for their soup and salad lunch deal. I have the grilled chicken salad and he has the seven pepper steak salad and we both have French onion soup. I will that 95% of the time it is an excellent meal. I love all the fruit on my salad and the soup has an excellent flavor. The service has defiantly improved and most of the time is excellent. My only complaint is that I have had lunch twice on a Monday and they did not have half of the fruit on the salad because they were out and the amount of chicken and feta cheese on the salad was limited. Also, occasionally, our soup is just warm and not hot. When you eat here as much as we do you know when it is not a good day in the kitchen. Overall this place has come a long way and I would recommend dining here. It is dark and very busy during normal lunch hours but they do a pretty good job getting your food in a decent timeframe. One nice thing about Longhorn Steakhouse's is the consistency of food taste and quality from location to location. The location here in Poole, GA did not disappoint. Server, Taylor, was fantastic! From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I was met with some of the worst service I've ever experienced at a restaurant. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I love the decorations it really gives a nice western feel for the food and that goes further for the experience than people want to think about. Diners beware, my wife and I arrived at 5:03pm and were seated promptly, our server took our drink order and delivered us bread and drinks by approximately 5:15pm. That's were things went off the rails, over the course of the next 40+ minutes other guests were seated and food delivered. Our server stopped at our table and said that our food would be right out. After another 10+ minutes passed I went to the hostess and asked for the manager. At the same time my wife asked the same from our server. In approximately 10 minutes the shift manager came out and told us our server had forgotten to put our order in. That our food was being prepared and he would be delivering it and that he would be applying a discount to our bill. After waiting 10+ minutes our food arrived, my wife's order was wrong and by this time we spend an hour waiting. We are, the server never acknowledged that error or apologized. When I received the bill they had applied a 25% discount that amounted to roughly $10.00. I paid and I did not leave a gratuity. There is so many ways the shift manager and server could have made this situation so much better. But it shows their genuine lack of understanding true customer service.
