Salmon avocado toast my wife said is to die for.
Rob G.

Went for breakfast. Fast service, very cozy and nicely decorated cafe. The server was outstanding and the food was so fresh and tasty. Our party of 4 all agreed and will come back.

Once again a great breakfast. I had a traditional breakfast with toast (all wheat, other flavors available), 2 fried eggs (I had sunny side up), hash browns. Bacon is extra, but it's worth ordering it. 3 big and very crispy pieces.

What a great place to eat! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Cinnamon french toast with berries. Our waitress was so friendly, and funny. The place is so cute, and so clean too.

5 Stars for a true sleepy Gulf-side town diner! I highly recommend walking right in and asking for a table in the back patio. Patio may be a bit of a stretch, but those tables back there are right on a little river where there are small boats docked. It's quiet and such a unique little spot. Everything I've had has been great. It's standard diner fare, but there is one thing that I get every time and that CANNOT be missed. Always order the cranberry orange muffin and ask for it grilled. Did I know grilled muffins were a thing prior to this? No. Has it changed everything for me? Well, breakfast, at least! Truly something you won't forget! Otherwise, friendly service and great little spot. Just look out for the loud black birds that hang around the tables! Ha!

Homemade Corned Beef Hash and a side of Home Fries
Art C.

Glad I stopped in For breakfast today I went with their Homemade Corned Beef Hash which came with 2 eggs the way you like'm and toast. I asked whether Home Fries were included, they were not, so I added them as a side. All that food was enough for me. The hash was very good. The texture was a little mushy but there was corned beef flavor, something you don't always find with this dish in other restaurants. The hash included pieces of green peppers, onion, and diced potatoes. The home fries were seasoned cubes of potatoes, also very good. The food was dropped off in 5-6 minutes hot. Longbeach Café is not a large place, a single walkway from the entrance to the backdoor. I sat inside with the air conditioning rather than asking for one of the half dozen tables in the back along a canal. They may have all been occupied, they were when I looked out before I left. I was also by myself and sat at a two top in the narrower part of restaurant, which came with foot traffic going past fairly often. I liked my server, a happy engaging person, who also did a very good job. I'm glad I stopped in today.

The seafood accompaniment was adequate and filling. Also had a side house salad, which seemed fresh and also very nice. Good wine selection and I can't complain about the beer that I ordered. If you're comparing to a top ranked seafood restaurant in Miami or Tampa, look elsewhere. The prices were fair and I would probably go back there if I were in town again. The only weird part was the service. It was great for the first 45 minutes and then the waitress just literally disappeared. Mike was gone for 20 minutes until we finally had to ask another waiter for our check. They probably could've gotten me for a few more drinks if they had tried. I was going to get three stars, but I think they do deserve four stars for overall experience.

Not sure whose relative is the hostess but she is not friendly and made us feel like we were bothering here checking in. We made a birthday reservation and asked to be seated by the window. She started seating us at a different table and when we asked about the empty table by the window she stumbled and said it had been reserved for months. 90 mins later it was still empty. Would not recommend this place for over $200 tab.

He spent a lot of time telling us about the restaurant and the menu which was very helpful. We had the Hawaiian bread, crab cake for appetizers. Over Priced Tourist Trap…read more We recently moved to the area and wanted to try this place. We won't be back. Even on a Monday night the wait for a table was an hour and a half, so we grabbed seats at the bar. That didn't help much. It took over 20 minutes just to get a drink order in, and another 20 after we asked for menus. We put the whole food order in at once. The course timing was fine, but I had to go get our own appetizer plates. There was one bartender covering a packed bar plus everyone waiting on tables. He was clearly slammed, but that's a staffing problem, not his fault. The food was worse. Everything tasted like Sysco at best: * Bread service: $15, which says a lot. * Ceviche: Meh. Nothing spectacular. * Grouper sandwich: OK. The fries were definitely the frozen, food-service kind. * Short rib: Ridiculously fatty. * Gouda grits: Fine. * Broccolini: Nothing special. Everything came out lukewarm. You're paying for the view and the location, not the food or the service. The one thing I appreciated was the valet, because it got me out of there quickly.

This is a great place with a great vibe, but they could not make an exception during the rain delay we even suggested that it was OK to put the Buc's game back on once it started back up. They still wouldn't do it. Later they played a few minutes of the second quarter, then suddenly it switched to the Bravo channel (The real Housewives)There weren't very many other games playing on the other TVs. Most of the TVs had the Cowboys game on. Before the second half was over, we found a place down the street that put it on all their tv's with the sound. (Packer Bar). They have a few picnic tables out front and more seating inside. We got a parking spot no problem and went inside. It is an order at the counter place with a dark wood feel. This is not your typical BBQ place, their website describes their restaurant as fast casual + BBQ fusion. Many traditional BBQ items such as ribs and baked beans are not on the menu, yet they offer other items like a Cuban sandwich. I went BBQish and ordered their Double Brisket Burger, and Canadian with a large order of Poutine. I recommend checking out the menu before you go the first time just to make sure you see something you want. My brisket burger was very tender and easy to eat. I liked it even though the caramelized onion added a burnt taste. It was a lot of food. The flavor of the poutine was subtle, and was a lot of fries. High marks on their Cuban sandwich from my dinner companion. I liked the place, liked the people, liked the other customers who we chatted with. We are local but seldom make it out to the beach so nice vacation vibes rubbed off on us as well. We left full and happy.

Highlights are lots of great tables with…read moreviews of sunsets over the Gulf of America and world class service by Chris who was hustling taking care of so many in the heat and doing it with a smile on his face. Nicely done! The views of the water and dolphins are amazing around sunset. Food: Decent in my most recent visit. The fish grouper tacos can be fried, grilled or blackened. The meat was huge, not just scraps like at some places but large pieces that barely fit in the taco shell. The toppings had hot peppers that overpowered the taste. The provided green sauce was also a bit spicy but comes on the side so you can apply just the right amount or none at all. At $30 this was a bit steep for tacos with a scoop of rice. My friend had grilled Red Snapper that was good. At $38 this is near the top range of filet pricing. Alcohol: I tried the "Meet Your Bahama Mama" which was nicely prepared @ $12. My friend ordered a custom drink with DOUBLE shot that was properly made but wasn't entirely finished. It was a bit more subdued vs the Mama. I tried it and couldn't tell there was two shots... $15 for the later. Water: they don't offer tap water, instead charging $2 for bottled water. One star off for this. I was finished with my cocktail early and sat the next hour with nothing to drink. Parking: free across the street in the lot on the north side. However there are numerous trailers blocking parking spots and others are labeled "compact" so when it gets busy you might need to pay at the adjacent lot. On a Tuesday in the offseason there were free spots available. The restaurant also has a large area under a tiki roof that is really beautiful with numerous TVs playing sports. This area has huge ceiling fans keeping things cooler than the tables out near the water. One star off for a super bad fly problem that occurs when your food arrives. We spent an hour waving our hands over our plates. At times there were ten flies trying to land on the food. We asked if they had the fly fans some places have, but none are available. As bad as this is why haven't they invested in some of these battery powered fans that really work well? Amazon sells battery and rechargeable versions for $6 each. Total for 2 entrees, 2 alcoholic drinks & 1 water with 20% tip: $126. Yikes! Justifies my 3 star rating. They also hit you with a 3% credit card charge. Ridiculous for a place already charging high prices. Just screams cheap nickle and diming. The current Yelp score for this restaurant is just over 2 stars. Our experience was better thanks to Chris and the amazing sunset.
