Tried the elder fashioned and the bitter sweet symphony & both had a nice smooth profile. Also appreciated the ambience, with the Halloween decorations. Was a perfect stop over point before dinner!

Honestly a lovely spot for drinks. A lovely selection of beverages and delicious gins- can't go wrong with any of the specialty cocktails, the slushy drinks or the gin flights. Lovely long tables inside and patio seating as well. Servers are very friendly and there are some cool merchandise for purchase as well. I wish they had more food options but the snacks they had were very yummy!

I have been meaning to check this place out forever, and finally made it. It's rather quaint (small lol), with a bit of a gift shop inside where you can purchase this and that. The bar is the best place to sit in my opinion, that's where all the magic happens. The staff are super friendly and the bartenders try to their best to make you a magical drink if you can't find something you want to try on the menu already. Long table mostly distills Gin and Vodka, so if you are looking for a more intense drink maybe go for a scotch based drink. :) I was in the mood for an intense, smokey drink and what was crafted with Scotch was excellent for $15. They have an array of bitters, which is impressive and amazing and you can purchase them all from $24-$33/bottle. There was one called "Smoke and Oak", which I almost purchased. This place isn't cheap, like everything else it seems these days, so check the price before you order. There was a $45 drink I almost ordered lol. They also offer flight tastings, small plates and snacks. I tried their spicy almonds, which were tasty to munch on. Great place to stop by for a tasty handcrafted cocktail!

Such a cool place to hangout! If you're looking for a nice bar with cocktails and sharing food plates, this is a gem. Without getting ripped off unlike many other cocktail bars in downtown, we actually enjoyed our nicely crafted and strong enough drinks. Bonus points for putting multiple hangers under the table for ladies with purses! So you don't have to drop your stuff to the floor. My drink Cina Polada was very pleasing both to eye and stomach. I loved the tropical flavour combinations and the dried dragon fruit, orange and lime slices were so yummy, I ended up eating all of them. We also shared the charcuterie board and I loved the crackers. They were very crunchy and flavorful. The meats were fine but I would maybe add one more cheese to the board. I think it's good value at $22, and makes a good sharing plate. A brie like cheese would complete the board in my opinion. All in all, the space was very cute and I liked the vibe. You can also buy very cool cocktail making stuff on the way out. I'll visit this place to check out those items another time.

Friendly staff and great drinks! I definitely recommend the cina polada it was our favorite. And altho the stuff on the drink is edible, i dont recommend eating it @_@

Yum :)

I like it here! A great little distillery located downtown just off the seawall that brews gin, vodka and a few other specialty liquors. Beautiful wood features and modern concrete floors. Gin & Tonic Fridays from 4-9 pm. Apprx $10 for singles and $12 for doubles, your choice of gin (cucumber or London dry) and tonic (generic, homemade, premium). Our friend doesn't drink gin but they were able to serve her their vodka. They have a different local food truck parked right outside every week for g&t Friday, when we were there weeks ago was Tacofino - yum! :). Very friendly proprietors, who are happy to explain their whole distillation process. The room is relatively small and there is limited seating, so for events (g&t Friday) you may have to stand until some seats open up. A great addition to the neighbourhood!

I be drinking this right now!

So the door was locked when the site clearly says it was opened!!! Don't worry, Charles eventually opened the door as I was like some rabbid customer foaming at the mouth for alcohol... well not entirely so. I have come here many times, even leaving with the known liquids this place produces and I have to proclaim this is my 'go-to' gin spot in Vancouver, hands down! Even if you do not like gin.. it's not your drink of choice, the line is this, "maybe you haven't found the right one yet....." On any occasion, when they are open, the staff here is very friendly and accomodating, even on the last visit when it was just Charles helping me out with a decision I had to go back and forth between their London Dry and Cucumber Gin.. and it was a hard choice but I had to pick one like Pokemon and went with the Cucumber as a gift for the night.. but I would down both in a heart beat! Just know you can try before you buy, and if you have any fine alcoholic sense in your tastebuds you will like the stuff that they are making in this magically spot.. and if not.. use that app and go get your mass produced spirits like Bombay and Tanqueray while the ones who know how to appreciate come here and buy their brew! This place has changed in looks a little from the first time I stepped in here... moving the big piece of wood to make a communal seating area and now they opened up this place to mix drinks.. as I have yet to try those I will not even talk about it. I'm still milking my bottle of the bourbon barrelled gin, and yet I'm still thinking of loading up, but if you want a great time with high quality spirits, here's my choice, come in and feel right at home, and maybe prepare to spend some money! This is not your mix 'em type of gin.. even though they do it quite well here, get to know the finer things in life... really, and you may never go back to that mass produced stuff you find everyone else drinking! Oh... yes, they are changing their labels and their bottles are going to look very colorful, so come here soon to get the last of the old stock before those run out! I also hear they have food trucks on occasion if you are here drinking, parked out front.... I will be back!

Tasting flights only today so we need to come back on a Friday

I had never heard of Long Table Distillery before but when my husband's coworker heard we were taking a quick getaway to Vancouver, she asked him to pick her up a bottle of their Vodka. Charles's place happened to be on our walk back to the hotel so we stopped in. We hadn't intended to do a flight but couldn't resist once we walked through the door. Charles took plenty of time to break down the spirits on today's list and how much of what they use comes from local farmers. I tried the cucumber gin, the dry London gym and the barrel aged gin. My favorite was the dry gin. We ended up getting a bottle of our own. This was a little treasure to find on our trip and I recommend you spend some time here too. Makes a visitor feel like a local.

Amazing and expertly made cocktails. Happy hour is a great deal. Recommended their london dry gin.

Geo F.

I would visit this neighborhood gem more often if they were open more hours! It's a excellent happy hour spot with a wide selection based on their vodka, gin, and akavit varieties. And don't leave before taking home a bottle of gin, tonic syrup or bitters!

**HAPPY HOUR COCKTAILS** If you really want good cocktails served by good bartenders, come here at 3-5 Fri & Sat. They have a list of classic cocktails $2 off, which works out to be $~8-10 each. I love good and cheap cocktails so I naturally gravitate towards this deal. Steady flow of customers come in - We were here on the Sat at 3:22pm and the place is about 80% full on seating. There is standing room but not sure if there's a limit on occupancy. Atmosphere: pretty chill and chic. Mommas come here with strollers. We can see the distillery behind the glass door. Customer service: we were served water within 5 mins of seating. Too bad we weren't given a menu so we had to hunt down one ourselves. Our water is refilled every time it dips down. Thank you bartenders Bartending service: cocktails are good. Love the bartending skills here (that's why we sit in front of the bar!) We tried the: - Tom Collins: a bit too sweet for us, citrus-y and light - Martini: nice and stiff. Stirred not shaken (unless requested). Perfectly balanced. - Cucumber Gimlet: less sweet than Tom Collins. More refreshing. - Clover club: best of 4 in our opinion. Nice balance of sweet and bitter. One can also buy bitters and other bartending needs here. Overall: I love cocktails! Coupled with HH and good bartenders that love their craft, I'm in heaven. I'll come back again for sure to see what new cocktails they are brewing up!

A virgin something because I was the DD.

We found this place through yelp and they didn't disappoint. They have really turned drinks into an art. My husband had 2 drinks which were gin infused in a bourbon barrel. He said it was really good and tasted like an old fashion. The 2nd drink was the same type of gin with grapefruit and lime which was quite refreshing after a day walking around in Stanley Park on this warm day in Vancouver. I seem to have brought the warm souther California weather with me so you're welcome Canada! I had a virgin drink ($7) because I was the DD which I did think was a little pricey for a non alcoholic drink but I don't typically order drinks so it might not be. We still enjoyed the whole experience. Also the bartender were super nice and friendly!

I was here on a Saturday night and was able to get a seat at the bar right away. If you like Gin, then this is your temple. The cocktails are most, if not all, gin based. High quality. Different. Refreshing.

After a lot of research, The Dirty Apron stood out as the clear winner. I reached out nearly two months in advance only to find they were fully booked on our one available evening. I moved on and kept searching, but about a week later they contacted me to say they had a cancellation. I jumped on it immediately! From start to finish, the process was seamless. They offered a very wide variety of menu options, which made it easy to find choices that accommodated several dietary restrictions and varying preferences across our group. Communication was straightforward and stress-free. Day of, the location was easy to find and they were completely set up and ready when I arrived a few minutes early. The onsite team, Monica, our servers, and our chef were all outstanding. The structure of the experience was perfect for a team event: the chef would teach us one course, we'd break out to make it together, then sit down and eat what we'd just prepared before heading back to learn the next one. The pacing was spot-on. Our chef was engaging, educational, and fun without being over the top. Throughout the evening and through the next day, my entire team raved about the food quality, the hands-on instruction, and the overall atmosphere. After dessert, none of us wanted to leave, even after four full hours together. For a leadership team that had never done an offsite before, this was the ideal bonding experience. Highly, highly recommend The Dirty Apron for corporate team events. We got lucky with that cancellation, and it ended up being the highlight of our trip to Vancouver!

The three dishes that we made were pork baos, dan dan noodles, and wontons with chilli sauce. These were all staple foods that I grew up eating in a Chinese family but it was quite interesting to make them with a western fusion twist. If you don't know how to cook, do not worry because I certainly don't either. Dan, the owner, led our class with his assistant Kait. Both were very helpful, engaging in conversation, and accommodating. Dan did a really good job of explaining the origins of each dish, bringing in his own experiences and life stories with his family which I really appreciate as this added a personal touch. He stresses the use of organic ingredients and often shared with us where to buy these common items. Once you walk in, you store your personal items in the cupboard provided. Then you write your name on an erasable name tag and put your apron on. Everyone is involved in the cooking process, from washing vegetables to chopping garlic and green onions. There was just a right amount of time to cook but also socialize with one another. You can also consume alcohol while cooking. I found that the assistant often prepared most of the meat, so some of the hardest parts of the recipes were already accounted for. The pork bao, for example, only required us to make the bun part but I do not recall preparing the pork or marinating it. Everything tasted delicious and looked so colourful that the plating easily looked like restaurant quality, even if you just tossed them all together on a dish. We used a lot of garlic though so a lot of us still came to work with garlic breath the next day! Still, I think my favourite dish must have been the dan dan noodles because of the peanut sauce. Feeling very lucky to have tried my first cooking class through work and hope to be back another time to cook another cuisine!

The experience can come in at a little bit high of a price however, it has been a very successful event and our clients seemed to love it (which is the main goal!). You have to cook for one hour and have access to the kitchen and ingredients and can talk with some of the students that are there as well. It feels very high pressure and depending how you cook or eat it could be either very creative or a little bit overwhelming but it's all in good fun. After that, the head chef tries out all the dishes and scores everyone. Don't fret, you do not have to only eat your concoctions after the cooking challenge. You are then presented with a three course meal done by the students. One thing I do wish they offered was perhaps a Feedback card (I understand this is difficult for a client event but could be coordinated to the organizer). The dishes we got for good, the portions were a bit small and some of the dishes were a bit over salted in my opinion but overall it was a great meal and event. I'm always looking for easy recipes so I was looking forward to taking this class with my colleagues. The space isn't large and our team of 15 people filled the room across two tables. For me, home decorating and organizing is fun, and cooking and baking are fun. So it goes without saying that I ADORE stores like this, that has all the tools - and then some - for cooks and bakers. I was here before Christmastime and, wow, they had SO many awesome gift ideas for people who cook or who like gourmet foods, or special gadgets, or smaller home decor items. I was overwhelmed, to be honest, wandering about like a kid in a huge candy store. So many things that I didn't even know what they were, very niche ingredients and kitchen tools. gorgeous linens, imported foods and specialty ingredients. You'd be hard-pressed to NOT find any kitchen item you are in the market for here. I liked the lay-out of this place, too. Despite it being cavernous inside (it IS a warehouse, after all!), it's laid out in a welcoming way, with various delineated areas, wide-ish aisles, and helpful staff around to ask questions if needed. I also liked that there is a large parking lot here, too (shared with the adjacent No Frills). Bonus! My one caveat: unlike the other folks who've written reviews of this place, I found the prices of items here to be on the high side. Granted, they are were very niche and/or high-end and /or imported and all were of high high quality (big names, well-reputed brands). But pricey.
