After not having long John Silvers in 20 years I was at the hospital visiting on Wednesday August 14 the evening shift I went in placed a order and the food was terrific but the staff was like a family and they treated me like family !! When you have a good crew like they do it makes coming back so much easier to want to see the people again good job to this store across from Thomas Hospital!! Great great experience!! This restaurant has gone downhill with their customer service. I was a customer at this place and this person was door-dashing and the food is very good from here but they are always extremely rude. In DoorDash it says the driver does not have to tell the customer why they did not have something the restaurant has to. The dasher was telling the person who takes orders and the person was saying their tablet was broken and they couldn't, this is while people in the back were stating that this happened yesterday. So the dasher took the food and left and after that I got my food and left. But they forgot MY SAUCE AND I WAS MAD because I had already drove 15 minutes away and I stopped at a captain Ds and got sauce from there. SOOOO next time I'm going to captain Ds because their actually nice. read more

Finally, this Long John's has the secret of frying fish and chicken that's not dripping in grease! The employees were very pleasant and helpful concerning the menu. Also has a senior discount! Ok. The neighborhood is a little underwhelming, but Long John Silver's is a bright spot. Sometimes when I'm traveling, I can't take one more burger stop or another pizza. The fast-food fish places are sometimes hard to find without straying too far off the main highway. This LJS was a nice find. Despite the area, the store itself is super clean, in fact, the minute someone left, an employee was cleaning the table and sweeping the floor. The trash cans weren't overflowing even though it was at the tail end of the lunch-rush. The food was ready quickly and it was hot. It hadn't been sitting under the warmer. Bonus for that. LJS does a great batter on their fish, and those little crispy crunchy batter pieces are almost the highlight. At times like this, splurge. Go back to healthy eating at the next stop. read more

Worst experience we had. No greeting at the drive thru, ok not really a big deal to me. Ordered our food and some extra crumbs (crunchies), get to the window and pay they hand us the food you can clearly see that the extra crumbs aren't in the bag. We get there attention and tell them she yells to the employees what we need then reaches them out to me and goes you already have some in your box. Ok so what I paid for extras give them to us. We ended up not getting one or our sides, 2 pieces of the chicken were so hard you couldnt stick a fork in them or bite them. read more

This was my first time in Long John Silvers at all. It was pretty quiet there when I went. Got some fish and fries, they came real quick since there was no one in front of me. The food was a little cold and I wasn't sure if it was because they just left it out or because it's pretty cold here in WV to begin with. I'll definitely give the benefit of the doubt say it was just too cold outside. Anyways, not too bad of a place. Also know that when you park in their lot you should be going to the restaurant, not anywhere else. Apparently people park in LJS's lot to go to the hospital across the street. They're pretty strict about that. read more

I have never had a bad experience here before, but tonight was the exception. The woman working the window never greeted me nor said any courteous words (please, thank you, etc.) And the wait was very long, between getting waited on and actually getting to the window, with only one car ahead of me. This restaurant is seriously lacking. I went through the drive through a few nights ago and ordered a meal. The lady at the drive through was complaining about the order behind me. More than once I heard her yell at a customer. I ordered a baked meal. I was given a meal and proceeded to leave when an employee comes running out of the store to flag me down. They had given me another customer's meal. I gave it back to them and drove to a spot in the parking lot. After waiting several minutes I went inside to use the restroom and hopefully claim my food. Again I heard the lady yelling at someone. After 34 minutes, I finally retrieved my order and started on my way. When I began eating the meal, the fish and shrimp were tasteless, no seasoning of any kind, and the fish was cold in the middle. I threw it away. I wasn't going back there or it would have been another hour. This was just gross. I had to stop at another place to get a dinner that was reasonably palatable and quick. I won't be going back to this restaurant and i recommend you don't either. read more
