I came here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. Personally, I am not a fan of the seating. The barrel tables are neat, but the chairs were wobbly and uncomfortable in a short skirt. The gentleman who waited on us was kind and attentive. I ordered the salmon and my partner had a burger. My salmon was well cooked and I really enjoyed the sweet potato puree as well as the rice and Brussels sprouts. I will say, I have had a similar experience with a dish from Longhorn. My partner said he really enjoyed his burger. Overall, we had a good experience but it is a bit overrated for the price, in my opinion.

Ate at this location on 11/13/2025. This place was incredible from start to finish! The aesthetics were beautiful - warm wood, unique barrel décor, and a cozy vibe that made the whole atmosphere feel inviting. The music set the perfect tone in the background - it wasn't overpowering at all (which is often times the case at the majority of restaurants), AND the music was of good taste, which is also a plus! Tommie was great: friendly, attentive, and full of character! The food was incredible and prepared exactly the way I asked. I had the pimento burger with fries, and it was absolutely delicious. The peanut butter pie for dessert was the perfect finishing touch - rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. Overall, a very easy 10/10. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing service, and a place I'll absolutely be returning to!

Weekend special. Filet, Mac n cheese, broccolini, and lobster tail.

Service was excellent, appetizer of crab dip was delicious... our entrees were very tasty! My husband I had the special (filet, broccolini, Mac n cheese, and lobster tail)...our friend had the swordfish....both were delicious. My only issue. We made a reservation for 9pm, at 10:12 we tried to order another round of drinks and were told they closed at 10 so they weren't serving anything else. Before our server brought our check she offered us to order dessert. So I was confused. If you closed at 10 how could I order desserts but another round of drinks. If everything shut down at 10 I feel like we should've been made aware of that when we were seated at 9pm. We were still eating our entrees when we asked for the last round of drinks.

We went for an early dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We were able to sit in one of the barrel tables which was really cool. Our server, Tom, was so friendly and attentive. He gave us recommendations since we're from out of town and provided excellent service. I had the swordfish which was very good. The rice was a little plain - I would get a different side next time, the veggies were good. My husband got the spicy burger and fries and enjoyed it. I got tiramisu which was good and he got the peanut butter pie which was exceptional. The cocktails were good too.

Charleston was our midpoint from VA to OH for the night. Found this spot from fellow yelpers. Grabbed a reservation on OpenTable (so convenient) and requested a barrel room. We were seated as soon as we arrived in one of their barrel rooms which was super cool! The rest of the place is very well done as well with brick walls and barrel tables. They could use a better light on their outdoor sign-we almost missed it! I had potato soup on special and the fried green tomatoes with filet. My hubby got the crab stuffed salmon special. Our server was very attentive, checking in frequently. Food was great and highly recommend!

Best food in Charleston, period! Service was also super friendly, and the vibe was great because it was not super loud like other restaurants and had nice, low lighting! 10/10 would recommend

Came to Brick & Barrel with some work associates and had a terrific experience. Our waitress was great and took excellent care of our party. The place was very cozy and had a great selection of alcoholic beverages. We started our meal with the crab & artichoke dip and it was the bomb! Definitely recommend getting this to start your meal and it came with plenty of chips for everyone. I ordered the hangover burger and it was pretty good. The egg and onions gave the burger its signature flavor. Everyone else I was with raves about their meal. Next time I'm back in town I will definitely make the effort to get back to Bricks & Barrels.

Tiny piece of sea bass in back, asparagus & very cold rice.

Lovely outdor seating area on the porch but we opted for indoor seating in one of the 3 or 4 intimate rooms. Service was great, our waiter very griendly, attenticw and helpful with suggestions, recommendations and specials. After ordering we were each served a couole of pieces of fresh bread with a black and white sea salt. Bread and butter were very good. We had the roasted red pepper and walnut dip served with local crackers and artisan bread. It too was excellent, so tasty. We had a fush of the day, a mild white fish served with new potatoes and green bwans. The fish was tender and light. I opted fir the french onion soup that was such a large crock og soup i had to take over half of it to go. It was steaming hot, toasted cheese on top was wonderful, onions the right crispness and flavorful. I did alsi have the glazed asparagus and fondant potatoes. Asparagus was crisp and lightly seasoned but the fondant potatoes wete nothing special. We had a chocolate mouse fir dessert. I am not a big fan so not my favorite. Expect to pay a bit for the atmosphere and special touches but it was worth it for the good food, great service and memories.

We recently returned with the grandparents and our kids and they couldn't have been any more welcoming. This is a fancy restaurant but everyone is so warm and welcoming. Our daughter had the French onion soup while my son ate every last piece of the grilled cheese. We stayed at The Greenbrier Resort, but this is a classy spot and way better than any restaurant we'd find there! Everyone loved it and we'll be back!

The bar staff was outstanding from start to finish. We had a few different bartenders taking care of us, and each one was attentive, friendly, and great at helping with recommendations. We ordered the New York steak and the Brussels sprouts special. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, and the Brussels sprouts hit that ideal balance--crispy, flavorful, and just right. Everything we had was packed with flavor. The drinks didn't miss either--ice-cold beer and expertly crafted cocktails all around. My margarita was not good at all. So bad that I didn't even drink more than half which is just a sin when it comes to expensive cocktails. My husband's chicken sandwich had about as much chicken as a tiny tender strip. He left hungry. I had the steak special. Which had good flavors (as anything covered in cheese would) but if I'm paying $60 for a medium rare steak, it's a shame that it came out medium well. Roasted cauliflower was mid, I make better at home in my air fryer. Service was good but the waitress was pretty pushy with the extras like we were insane for not ordering appetizers and not letting her bring us a glass of 4 roses. Ambiance was fine. But the experience was not worth my money, not even if it was half the cost honestly.
