Weekend special. Filet, Mac n cheese, broccolini, and lobster tail.
    Rachel W.

Service was excellent, appetizer of crab dip was delicious... our entrees were very tasty! My husband I had the special (filet, broccolini, Mac n cheese, and lobster tail)...our friend had the swordfish....both were delicious. My only issue. We made a reservation for 9pm, at 10:12 we tried to order another round of drinks and were told they closed at 10 so they weren't serving anything else. Before our server brought our check she offered us to order dessert. So I was confused. If you closed at 10 how could I order desserts but another round of drinks. If everything shut down at 10 I feel like we should've been made aware of that when we were seated at 9pm. We were still eating our entrees when we asked for the last round of drinks.

We went for an early dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We were able to sit in one of the barrel tables which was really cool. Our server, Tom, was so friendly and attentive. He gave us recommendations since we're from out of town and provided excellent service. I had the swordfish which was very good. The rice was a little plain - I would get a different side next time, the veggies were good. My husband got the spicy burger and fries and enjoyed it. I got tiramisu which was good and he got the peanut butter pie which was exceptional. The cocktails were good too.

Charleston was our midpoint from VA to OH for the night. Found this spot from fellow yelpers. Grabbed a reservation on OpenTable (so convenient) and requested a barrel room. We were seated as soon as we arrived in one of their barrel rooms which was super cool! The rest of the place is very well done as well with brick walls and barrel tables. They could use a better light on their outdoor sign-we almost missed it! I had potato soup on special and the fried green tomatoes with filet. My hubby got the crab stuffed salmon special. Our server was very attentive, checking in frequently. Food was great and highly recommend!

Best food in Charleston, period! Service was also super friendly, and the vibe was great because it was not super loud like other restaurants and had nice, low lighting! 10/10 would recommend

Came to Brick & Barrel with some work associates and had a terrific experience. Our waitress was great and took excellent care of our party. The place was very cozy and had a great selection of alcoholic beverages. We started our meal with the crab & artichoke dip and it was the bomb! Definitely recommend getting this to start your meal and it came with plenty of chips for everyone. I ordered the hangover burger and it was pretty good. The egg and onions gave the burger its signature flavor. Everyone else I was with raves about their meal. Next time I'm back in town I will definitely make the effort to get back to Bricks & Barrels.

Tiny piece of sea bass in back, asparagus & very cold rice.

Though the food tasted good, it was cold ( asparagus was warm and delicious) and such a small portion of sea bass for $45-- 2 " × 1". I was charged an extra $3 for getting asparagus instead of the green beans that came with the dish-- $48 for dish. I was not told of the extra charge up front. Waitress never returned to inquire-- why 3/ 5 rating for service. I did have to go eat afterwards-- still hungry.

I used the Open Table app to secure our same-day reservation. They also were able to honor my special request for a barrel (the special request is a field/feature on the app). We arrived at the stated time and were promptly seated. Our server was friendly and attentive. We never lacked for water or other beverages. We ordered the charcuterie board as a starter. I found it underwhelming for the price ($22). I've had their charcuterie before and this didn't live up to the memory. I had a cup of lobster bisque before my meal. It was very rich and maybe a tad too salty. I took half of it home, where it reheated nicely (added a couple tablespoons whole milk). I ordered the butter-basted salmon medium well. Guessing that previously I'd had it "medium," which is what I'll get next time, but this was good and also reheated well. My dining companions both selected the ribeye, which comes with a Parmesan risotto and green beans. One of them swapped out the beans for Brussels sprouts. I like that Bricks & Barrels allows for substitutions. Tiramisu was a nice, light, shared dessert. I highly recommend the peanut butter pie (more of a brick with Oreo crust) if you want something more indulgent. The menu of seasonal cocktails is also sure to have something to please every palate. I'm not a beer drinker, but one of my friends enjoyed the two draft craft brews ordered. In all, it was a great evening celebrating a milestone in a place that's not your run-of-the-mill restaurant. Being able to dine in a barrel is really cool. I've been here for special occasions and more casual experiences--and each have been great. Not many places are able to meld the two, but Bricks & Barrels does it well.

I eat small portions so we share most meals, but this was enough for two full entrees! The sweet candied bacon & creamy chunky blue cheese dressing on the fresh crispy Wedge blended perfectly. I added slices of the NY Strip & I'd say it would be my absolute favorite salad ever, minus the grease from the steak. The NY Strip & mushrooms were cooked accordingly & full of flavor. Huge baked potato as well. However, it was all greasy. Dessert menu looked delicious & included Creme Brulee, but we were too full. We saved our appetite all day for this wonderful steak dinner, but afterwards & the next day, we were both sick to our stomach. If it was just my stomach that didn't agree, it would be different, but it was both of us. Either it was the blue cheese dressing, which tasted fine or the grease. I am disappointed to leave 3 stars, because of how shockingly surprised everything was versus the reviews.

We made reservations and showed up early but they were able to get us right in. We had an awesome server, Olivia. The bread and butter was fresh and delicious. We ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. The shrimp was a little tough but the sauces were tasty. I ordered the French onion soup and my fiancé the lobster chowder. Both were delicious. For the entree, I had the salmon and my fiancé the New York strip. The salmon was average but the New York strip was amazing. It was the best steak I've ever had. For drinks, we had moscato and the hurricane. For dessert, we shared the delectable creme brûlée. I would have given 5 stars but something upset both of our stomachs later in the evening, I'm thinking the shrimp.

After ordering we were each served a couole of pieces of fresh bread with a black and white sea salt. Bread and butter were very good. We had the roasted red pepper and walnut dip served with local crackers and artisan bread. It too was excellent, so tasty. We had a fush of the day, a mild white fish served with new potatoes and green bwans. The fish was tender and light. I opted fir the french onion soup that was such a large crock og soup i had to take over half of it to go. It was steaming hot, toasted cheese on top was wonderful, onions the right crispness and flavorful. I did alsi have the glazed asparagus and fondant potatoes. Asparagus was crisp and lightly seasoned but the fondant potatoes wete nothing special. We had a chocolate mouse fir dessert. I am not a big fan so not my favorite. My husband's chicken sandwich had about as much chicken as a tiny tender strip. He left hungry. I had the steak special. Which had good flavors (as anything covered in cheese would) but if I'm paying $60 for a medium rare steak, it's a shame that it came out medium well.
