Overall a very good experience, sometimes excellent…read more The decor/ambiance is of course the Red Lobster corporate chain design, nautical paintings and ship wheel themes. The lighting is not overly bright, which is a good thing. The restaurant feels clean and restrooms are acceptably maintained. Food is really good and the portions are big. The lobster dip is a winner. Warm and cheesy with a little kick and a respectable amount of lobster meat to enjoy. It's served with hot fresh thin tortilla strips. Speaking of hot and fresh, the cheddar bay biscuits that come with the meal are tasting really great lately; I wonder if they've improved the recipe. We had great service today from Dana who was most attentive and even lent a bit of a hand in packing up leftovers. The waitstaff here often seem to have a problem when we ask that our leftovers be boxed up for us. To be fair to Dana I didn't make a formal request for that service today, but sometimes in the past there were issues. Honestly, following the appetizer we could probably have split the fish & chips and eliminated leftovers. They have a nice bar that includes booths but there is not always a bartender on duty. There's plenty of parking including handicap spots. This is a good choice for casual seafood dining.

Hubby ordered Garlic shrimp scampi, Shrimp linguini Alfredo, Grilled shrimp skewer & his side was bacon mac n cheese ($3.49 up charge). Our food took about 25 minutes to come out but our server wisely brought us piping hot cheddar bay biscuits whenever our basket was getting low. They were delicious! The food was tasty & the service was great. We'll be back.

That right there told me they don't mind being different in the style of food they serve! After checking over the menu full of wraps and burgers amongst a plethora of other bar food I ended up getting some wings to try and the house made chips. I got half my wings in the BBQ flavor and the other Buffalo. Being honest the wings weren't anything special but they did hit the spot and the BBQ sauce wasn't anything special to me on the wings but if it was used in some pulled pork or ribs I believe I would enjoy it more. The buffalo sauce was really good and had just enough heat to need the ranch here and there. The house made chips were good, not overly seasoned and not over cooked either. The place is small but has a handful of high top round tables and a few bigger square tables in the front with a decent bar strip with plenty of bottles and beers on tap. The pool table in the side room looked like a great area to hang around and play some pool while enjoying some beers with the company of friends. Next time I'm in town I will try one of their countless burger options!

The restaurant was a lot more kitschy than I was expecting, which I loved. Our waitress had a wonderful energy. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu had several unique items. I ordered a Scottish soda called IRN BRU. I love trying food and drinks from around the world. It tasted like an Orange Crush soda. Our waitress said they were known for their Cauliflower soup. It was cold outside so soup sounded perfect. I also got a pepper jack grilled cheese. The soup came in a huge bowl. The combo of the soup and grilled cheese was very filling. My friends ordered the sticky pudding. I had a bite and it was delicious. I cant believe it's taken me so long to eat here. I throughly enjoyed it and cant wait for my next road trip.

It's a few minutes off the highway, but certainly doesn't feel like you're in Gas City, IN. It looks like they added on an outdoor space recently. Nothing too extravagant, but nice enough for lunch. A nice younger man took care of us on the patio. The menu was quite eclectic and unique. The tortilla chips and cold bean dip was a great way to start. Both our soups were fantastic....cheddar cheese for one and leek soup the other. Fish and chips hit the spot and apparently a fan favorite. My wife had the club sandwich of GF bread. Great little local spot if you're ever in the area.

We were surprised the place got nearly full before noon on a Tuesday. Very classy old school ambiance including an attractive bar. It was romantically dark inside. We had just come in from a blazing summer morning and this atmosphere was welcome. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with added chicken. It was comforting but the chicken was pretty bland chunks. I was disappointed it did not have grill marks as my friend's grilled chicken sandwich did. My dish would have been so much more appealing with a little bit of parsley garnish and an offer of cracked pepper. My other friend had the soup & salad lunch and the goat cheese salad was a beautiful presentation. We all agreed the food was good, though there was no wow factor - other than those wavy French fries. Our waitress was pleasant and checked on us appropriately. She also cleared up the mystery of the restaurant's name; turns out that once upon a time, Harrison Avenue was known as Market Street. We couldn't help but notice the crowd was overwhelmingly in their golden years. I am early Generation X and I felt like I was in the youngest 10 percent of the patrons. This was a weekday early lunch so I'm sure the crowd is different at other times. I would likely check this place out again if in the vicinity.

They even have broasted potato wedges that they sell for 40 cents a piece. All the fish orders here come with fries, toast, and grilled onions. You get a good sized portion of fish, and tons of fries. Although the fries were super soggy. I guess both that and the toast were good for soaking up the oil from the fish. I tried both the catfish (catch of the day) and the cod. Between the two, I liked the cod more, but the person who ordered the catfish liked the catfish more. So it's a toss up. The broasted chicken here was great too. Super juicy on the inside. Since they make their food from scratch it can take a bit to get your food. We put our order in before heading over there. They said it would take ten to fifteen minutes, but it took about forty minutes but that's not their fault. They had a big rush of orders before us. The food here is good, but keep in mind if you get the fish it'll be super greasy. And sometimes that's a good thing. wink wink. I'd come back!
