I have visited this Waffle House the past two mornings and am amazed at the quality of service. Kayla took my order and served it up perfectly in record time. Afterwards, I watched as she professionally deep cleaned tables while taking care of coffee refills and other customers. I'm very impressed by the level of food quality and attention to details. Me and my wife have came to this location for years and on the day of June 30th at about 7:50pm there was 2 gentlemen workers that made the worst experience we have ever experienced at any Waffle House! The server didn't even greet us or ask us what we would like to drink he just stood over our table just waiting for us to talk and it's like first why don't you try saying hi at the least or something the cook was asleep at a table when we came in and continued to stay there asleep until the other guy gave him our order and you would have thought it wasn't his job to prepare our food as he huffed and puffed getting up! I'm not sure if we will be back to our favorite place because these guys or we will definitely turn around and leave anytime we see it's them working that day!!! read more

I wasn't expecting much of Waffle House and it as my first experience, on a road trip with some friends. We had just camped for a handful of days and we were met with such warm welcome friendly service. They gave us an extra biscuit and when we asked why they said they accidentally broke half of one our biscuits, that was so unexpected, unnecessary, but so kind! The food is good standard diner fare, thin waffles that I enjoyed and good scrambled eggs - nothing special but great and solid and for a great price. When we were getting ready to leave the server asked if we wanted to go cups and more coffee, which was what brought this review to a 5 star - that's above and beyond if you ask me - and so appreciated for our long drive ahead she had no idea about. I've been to many, many Waffle House restaurants (zero shame) and this was one the best visits. Mostly because Barbara has to be the sweetest, friendliest and most attentive server I've ever had. Smiled the entire time and took great care of us. Food was great. Coffee was awesome as usual. However, who is on bathroom duty? Gross. Never been to a Waffle House always Leary about the reputations of them but stopped at this one in Brookville and waitress was a wonderful friendly and just a terrific person who lived her whole life in Bookville. The food was great and fresh and it was funny but nice to see a crew of workers who got a long and loved their job. Highly recommend this place for a stop along I-70 going east. I eat here all the time. Some days it's packed with people, be patient and wait if you want hot food. Some of the servers have been working here for years and do a great job, the newer servers are learning and doing a good job as well. It is pretty clean, but the bathrooms could be a little messy at times. read more

This review is for the Waffle House in Brookville Ohio. The food was great but the team who works there is OUTSTANDING! We watched as they made meals like a well precision sports team. Shouting out and communicating to be successful and helping each other when needed. Eric who was on the grill and appears to be the manager cranked out hot delicious plates of food while training Tate who was only two weeks on the job and doing a great job. Eric gave positive compliments to his team as they worked. Lisa prepped plates as orders were called to keep the momentum going. Barbara our server was kind and courteous. She checked on us often. With the large amount of patrons coming in to the restaurant, it was incredible to watch them quickly serve folks which kept the wait time down. THIS TEAM IS AMAZING!!!! My husband and I stopped in before my appointment at Miami Valley. I hate to say it but our experience was not one of the better ones. First off the workers in there was arguing about why the tea bags was close to the floor in the cabinet. The exact words from one of the workers "I can't bend down that far." This went on for a few more seconds. The coffee tasted more like water and was not hot. The biscuits and gravy my husband got didn't taste like anything there was no taste to it. I ordered waffle with peanut butter chips on it the waffle was as thin as a piece of paper. I also ordered bacon which I was charged for my bacon sat up on the counter waiting for the waitress to bring it to me but never did. Then when I said I never got my bacon she asked me well do u want it now? It's just sitting up there on the plate. The waitress did take the cost of the bacon off the bill though. We came into town on our way from Fayetteville to Montana. We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express and spotted the Waffle House as we drove into the hotel. As we were very, very hungry, we walked over to the Waffle House. Our first impressions were not good. The place was dirty, the floor was dirty, there were spiders webs and grim and grit everywhere. We were so hungry so we stayed. I ordered eggs, a waffle, hash browns and toast. My wife ordered a bowl. My meal was marginal, her's was terrible. My waffle was almost flat and the hash browns were terrible. My wife's meal looked like dog food. The were bones splinters in the meat. The banter between the cooker and server was cute but why doesn't she clean when she is walking around chatting with the cook. This experience will cause me to not ever eat in that restaurant again and I'm wondering how it gets such a high rating. It sucked! read more

I'm only rating it 4 stars because the staff at this location were extremely polite. My dad, sister, and I were on a mini road trip from NJ to Muncie, IN to visit BSU. I kept seeing signs for Waffle House and I have a few friends from the South and West coast that constantly talk about this place so I had my father pull over on our way back to NJ. This location was in OH and as soon as we pulled up it seemed as if people were in awe that we had Jersey plates so when we came in an elderly couple made small talk with my father in regards of where in NJ we were from. The waitress was very friendly and helped us decide on what to order. I won't bore you with further details but I had the hash browns smothered in onions and waffles with bacon drizzled with maple syrup. It was delicious and their coffee wasn't so bad. I'm glad they don't have a WH out here by me or else I might find myself there every weekend! read more

When we were traveling from St. Louis to North Central Ohio to visit family there, we drove through Brookville and stopped at this Waffle House rather frequently. It was always a relief to stop here and get something to eat after driving on the highway and being hungry. This is a typical Waffle House like all the other ones scattered throughout the country with the same menu. My mother and I had stopped here enough that we had become pretty familiar with the workers there, too. It was always nice to stop and get something to eat here and talk the them for just a little while when traveling through Brookville. The food here has always been good; the staff have always been friendly and polite; it's always been nice coming to this particular Waffle House. I always like coming to this one when I am driving back to North Central Ohio to my family. read more

Hate to say it, but Waffle House is a pretty good place for breakfast. We never think to go here, even though it's really close to our house, and today we ended up at their counter when our favorite breakfast spot was closed for the holiday weekend. All of our food was perfect and the service was friendly, fast, and accurate. I just wish they had a few more tables for 3+ people. Breakfast was good. I ordered the steak and eggs over easy, with crispy hash browns. The eggs and hash browns were perfect. The steaks was okay. It really lacked taste/flavor. I probably won't order that again. Service was great. We will return to this Waffle House again. read more

When I pulled off the highway for I selected Waffle House mostly because there weren't other suitable breakfast options. I kinda accepted that I was going to have a mediocre breakfast. Boy was I wrong! Walking through the door I was greeted with a huge smile by Missie, who appeared to be the local mother hen, showing love to her teammates and customers alike. Her warm, sincere smile and attentive nature made me feel right at home. Next I ordered the Hash Brown bowl and she asked if I'd like that smothered in sausage gravy. I mean, how could I not??? I was entranced watching the cooks preparing the meal. Like a well oiled machine they operated like seasoned pros. I failed to take a picture because I ate it before I realized I wanted to write this. The bowl was delicious and the gravy!!! Oh man the gravy! It took me back to my grandmothers breakfast after a long morning of fishing. Locals and visitors alike are greeted like old friends.
