Amazing service and even more amazing staff!! This place has came so far and they are doing great!

The first thing I noticed was how confusing the parking lot and drive-through access were. I'm not familiar with this area, and that part was pretty frustrating. After circling the lot, I realized the drive-through couldn't be accessed from where I was and required getting back onto a main street and entering from another direction. Because of that, I decided to park and go inside instead. The line to order inside was very busy. I decided to take my chances and order through the app to see which would be faster. Placing the mobile order was quick, and there were still several people ahead of me in line, so I completed my order and moved to the mobile pickup area. The app estimated a 4-11 minute wait, and my food was ready in about 6 minutes. I definitely felt like ordering through the app saved me time compared to waiting in line. They have a TV screen that displays mobile orders and their status, and I saw my name change to "ready" before a worker called it out. Since it was lunchtime, the inside was very busy with limited seating available. I found a small two-person booth by the window and took it, but it was very cold sitting there, which was a downside. I ordered the 8-count nugget meal with fries and lemonade. My total was around $9 and some change. The nuggets and lemonade were good. I usually enjoy their fries, but these weren't very hot, which affected how much I liked them. I do like that each purchase earns points toward free food in the future. There is a condiment area, but I didn't see any ketchup. Fortunately, a staff member was walking around the dining area asking if anyone needed anything. I asked for ketchup, and she brought it to me, which was a nice plus for this location. read more

My son & I decided to try this newly opened location. We went inside to place our order & sat down at a table to wait. Our food arrived in less than 5 minutes & was delivered by a pleasant lady. We both ordered the same thing, spicy chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun meal (with pickles added) that comes with waffle fries & lemonade. The food was piping hot & tasted good. We requested refills of lemonade & it was brought to us quickly. We had one complaint though. Our chicken sandwiches were NOT spicy. There wasn't even a hint of spicy. That was disappointing. I tried the Chick-fil-A in Richmond for the first time last week. I have eaten at the ones at Greenwood Park in Indianapolis and at the Dayton Mall, and thought it was good. I put the app on my phone and placed the order there, then drove over to get it. The app kept track of my location as I drove over. I went it the entrance where for curbside and mobile orders. I couldn't find the numbered spaces for mobile orders, so I pulled in an unnumbered space and followed the instructions on the app and turned on my flashers and waited for my order to come out. The app said the wait would be 4-10 minutes, but I waited 5-6 minutes, which was reasonable. A very nice girl brought my order out, and everything was there. I ordered the Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwich with Spicy Filet, Medium Waffle Potato Fries, and Medium Coke Zero. My food was absolutely delicious! I am willing to come back and try the other items on their menu. read more

A word of advice: if you place a mobile order, pick it up in the restaurant. At 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon the mobile order lane was choked and of course the drive-through lane was also going crazy. There were two young ladies trying to keep up with all the orders and they had to keep sending cars over to the waiting spaces. Took 15 minutes in line to pick up a little bit. read more

I am a fan of chick-fil-a however this location is by far the worst for speed and service. The people don't seem to care about their job. Do get me started on the terrible traffic patterns, you can't physically enter the drive thru from there entrance you have to cut through Lowe's parking lot and then cut through IHOP's parking lot. Who thought this was a good idea, but wait it gets worse when you finally do get through the drive thru line, you must turn right and exit onto Route 40 because they have the regular parking lot coned off so you can't turn left out of the parking lot. Brilliant idea that was. The food is normal but not always hot, the workers always seem to be standing around doing nothing. It is glaringly obvious that the regional manager and the planning committee for this location was rushed and not thoroughly thought out for Richmond's type of clientele. I have visited literally dozens of Chic-Fil-A locations all over the country, and I have never seen such a cluster**** of a parking lot and drive thru layout. If a dumb, dishonest, or entitled person tries to go through the Mobile Thru even though they should have gone through the regular drive thru, those of us who actually placed our order thru the app ahead of time get to wait behind them for a totally unfair amount of time. I experienced such a problem during my first and only visit to this location. The other thing that I observed is that if anyone tries to exit from the drive in any type of long vehicle such as a crew cab pickup truck, they have to turn almost 180° to the right to exit. They obviously can't pull this off without doing a 3-point turn, further delaying a fast exit for those of us who own a normally sized vehicle. Good grief, people...do it over!!! I won't be back. This is the worst location I have ever visited. I have been to this location 3 times just to give them the benefit of the doubt. Fries were old on all three visits, incredibly long wait times, and I had hair on two of my chicken nuggets this last time. I will no longer shop at this store!!! Disgusting!!! This is not my first visit to this Chick-fil-A, but definitely the worst. Waited in line for at least 20 minutes and finally got my food. I get home and am excited to get my mac and cheese ( the whole point of my visit) and lo and behold, no mac and cheese. Instead, I received someone else's soup, which I will not eat and they didn't get their order right either. My friend got the chicken club sandwich and added pepperjack cheese. Ate at many Chick Fil-A's in multiple states and never had an order made incorrectly until here. I would normally give Chick Fil-A a 5 because the food is always great. I know this store is new and they are training staff but I have never had an order made incorrectly at Chick Fil-A before because of their standards and QA. McD has great advertising and low standards so if you ask for not tomato on something at best it is 50/50 if arrives correct. Never had that issue at a Chick Fil-A because they always had higher standards, until today. from now on I will have to treat them like every other place and check everything. Getting to the drive thru as is is currently counter intuitive because they have the parking lot blocked off and the first pull in where you normally would go is closed off so you have to detour towards ihop to skirt around to the backside of the parking lot to get in. When I went to the theater to eat I noticed it was made wrong, between the time, the parking lot headache, wait time, I did not go back. Maybe in a couple months they will actually get there until then if you like Chick Fil-A the food is the same but tour order may vary. hands down worst service in history! went inside stood inline 15 minutes i moved 5 ft!! i was third inline before lunch rush, 2 people also standing off to the side (uber eats) clearly ajitated and they got there before me, lol. 2 cashiers, 1 male who had no clue how to run a register, he kept sneeking off to the room to his left (asking questions which i assume was a manager who obviously didnt want to come out of his hole) on how to operate the register. the other was a girl much more interested in socializing with her friends that were clearly not ordering anything taking up space in line. this was my second visit since they opened, probably my last! in my earlier days i managed a mcdonald's back when service meant something. i have no delusions that any of the fast food restaurants give a holy damn how fast you get your order. oh yea, dont get me started on their drunken parking lot, lord!!! read more
