Chicken (aka: dog food grade chicken) and cheese curds. Barf!
Lauren H.

This was quite literally the absolute worst thing I have tried to eat in a VERY long time. Now... before yall come at me with the "well, what did you expect?", I have literally been working for two weeks straight and to top it off, I worked from 9am-8:30pm and just wanted something familiar to me. I have been a fan of LJS since I was a kid. People talked trash about it but I have ALWAYS been a fan because of how often I ate there in high school. It's been quite a while since I've eaten there. However, whatever the hell was delivered to me tonight (yes, I paid for delivery- trust me- I'm just as confused as to why.. oh, because I'm exhausted) was DISGUSTING!! I wondered why my dogs were circling my table more than normal... well, it's because literally all of my food (with the batter ripped off) went to them. The chicken... dog food deep fried. The hush puppies... just cake batter fried. Not even a side of tartar sauce to mask the flavor. The crispy bits that come with the meals... rock hard. The cheese bites... solidified in the 5 minutes it took for my order to get to me. And now... the shrimp... literally fish food deep fried. I took one bite and spit it out because I'm not trying to be popping my brains out on my (hopefully) day off tomorrow. Absolutely deplorable. I NOW know why all of the LJS locations are shutting down and you guys best believe, you're probably next. Give me my damn money back!

I have always been a fan of Long John Silver's since I was a little kid. I have seen several locations come and go, and a few that have weathered the stormy seas and survived. This particular location is one of those, it has survived a long time! The ambiance over the years has changed inside a few times. The original look was reminiscent of the inside of a pirate shrimp. Now it has lightened up a lot and is kind of New England Beach vibe if you will. I ordered the Fish, Chicken, and Shrimp Platter. It came with two sides, which I chose Waffle Fries and Cole Slaw. It also came with 2 Hush Puppies. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious! Honestly, the platter was more food than I could eat, but that is not a complaint, it is a testament to the value and amount of food they give you here. I was also impressed by the staff at this location. They were professional and pleasant and cared. I observed them not only with my own transaction, but with the transactions of others who came in while I was enjoying my meal. It is hard for me to justify 5 star reviews, but I will certainly give credit where credit is due, and this was definitely a 5-star experience!

The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was wonderful and perfect for a catch up with my friend: warm, inviting, and perfect service! The burrata salad was outstanding, and the pasta was equally impressive. We also shared the bread pudding for dessert, which was incredible and the perfect ending to the evening. The lobster dishes and wine selection were excellent as well. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. To top it all off, our entire dinner came to under $100, which felt like tremendous value for the quality of the food and experience. I only wish we had a location in Los Angeles. Highly recommended!

I had the Salmon and liked it. Another person had the burger and it was overcooked from how he requested it. Now the Bad... Crab legs are not made with fresh crabmeat. Fresh is white and flaky, these were brown and mushy. Two people ordered the crab legs and they were unable to eat them. They were overcooked and, not sure how, but some of them had burn marks on them. How do you burn something that is boiled? Also it was impossible to crack them open. The shells were soft and just folded over and you couldn't get them open. You could twist the leg back and forth and it wouldn't break open. I think perhaps they were left sitting in the water after they were cooked. Those were sent back and those two people didn't get to eat. The sad part of that is that after they were returned a manager came out and actually argued with them about the overcooking of the legs. He said that was impossible and that nobody else had complained. Wow, instead of just apologizing and saying it would be removed from the bill. That alone took this place off our list forever.

I enjoyed what I tried and I do plan to come back for other visits. This is what I tried: 88 sauce: 8/10 medium spice, garlicky, could have more lemon and a hint of sweetness to balance. I do like this sauce and would try again. Lemon pepper sauce: 10/10 I gelt this one was more of the balance I was looking for. It could still use a bit more sweet but to me it is the best one. Garlic sauce: 7/10 if you enjoy a heavy garlic flavor this is the one. Not too bad but not my favorite due to the lack in balance. Garlic noodles: 8/10 the noodles were cooked perfectly. The garlic is present through and through. I did try it with the 88 special sauce. I also added a hint of sweet with chili sauce. The added sauce brought it up to a 10. Eggs: 8/10 basic boiled eggs. Could have been boiled a few less minutes. Got them in the 88 sauce. White clams: 10/10 I enjoy the tender chew of this over the manila clams. I tried these with the lemon pepper sauce. I like the lemon pepper sauce the best with these. Manila clams: 7/10 these are ok, they are more chewy than the white clams. I am glad I tried them to establish the difference. Crab legs: 10/10 well cooked not over cooked. Juicy and fresh. Sausage, corn, potatoes: 10/10 sausage plumb and juicy with a snap. Corn sweet, plump, and perfectly cooked. Potatoes most of them were cooked perfectly and just a few could have cooked a bit longer.

I added boiled eggs to my boil and they were way overcooked, the yolk was grey, so that's disappointing.. I didn't enjoy the sausage either. So I would just stick with the seafood, corn and potatoes tbh. We tried happy hour fried shrimp and it was a bit mushy. But flavor wasn't horrible. I probably won't be back here but it wasn't bad for this one time.

Started with some hush puppies, which were OK but really hard. Had the shrimp and catfish combo with onion rings and a side of coleslaw and the shrimp and oyster combo with the same sides. The coleslaw was pretty good as was the small catfish filet. Although nothing to write home about either. The shrimp was tough and overcooked. The onion rings were also a big disappointment not near the crispiness or freshness or flavor of the ones I had at their Casa Linda location. In both locations, the sides they give you are never consistent. For example, one combo had cocktail sauce (which was still frozen) and the other combo did not. Not sure if I'll try this location again.

The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The fried fish was cooked to order and came out hot. It was cooked perfectly, but it was just ok. It satisfied my craving and the hot sauce served with it was spicy and tasty. The hush puppies were good, along with the corn and potatoes with the garlic butter medium heat. Overall I had a good experience and left full. It's not the best fish, but it's not bad. I would definitely recommend and order the shrimp again. I'm going to try something else on the menu next time. I feel I need to go back when the air conditioning is working properly. I am also curious about other menu items.
