Crusty old sign and piggy backed on top of Kentucky fried chicken bits.
Heather C.

Salty fish was slightly under fried with gooey battered edges but the flavor was just as I remembered. Each and every one of the sides were inedible or missing. No cold slaw? The hush puppies were hard as a rock, and I couldn't even bite into one. I had to throw it on the ground to crack one open and the fries were soggy and groggy. I should have known that disappointment was in store when I saw the long part of the sign had been damaged by bullet holes and no longer illuminated. Carlos delivered the meal to our car which was nice as the fish part of my order was being fried fresh. His appearance was less than presentable, his shirt looked like he slept in it over night after a long bender of beers and bowling or stuffed in a ball inside a gym bag. So long John.....I'm sailing for higher seas

Ha! I called it! Was just here a few days ago and said never again... Not sure how they ever stay in business because every time I come, the food and service suck. Well guess what? I just drove past and they are completely shut down. Bye-bye Lancaster Long John's. Definitely can't say that you will be missed.

This is a multibrand fast food restaurant featuring both KFC and Long John Silver's. Even though its address is on Rockvale Road, you can enter the parking area from US-30 and that is more convenient. I went to this restaurant for Long John Silver's so this review is based on that alone. I find the fried fish at co-branded restaurants to be inferior to that at standalone Long John Silver's. I'm not sure why that is. The seasoning is different. However, at a cobranded restaurant, you have the advantage of more choices in side orders since you can pick from both KFC sides and LJS sides. Service was very fast on the day I went there. They already had everything ready and brought it right to the counter when I ordered.

Very clean. I had a very large order, and although there was a very limited staff, my order was prepared quickly and the food was terrific.

They ran out if French Fries at noon today, and then served an expired cheese stick. How do you run out of FF at a fast food restaurant?

The English Pub environment induces a relaxing and friendly vibe! The personality of the bartenders is great and friendly! Service is prompt even when it is busy. They have a nice beer selection to hit everyone's tastes. I didn't know until our recent visit that they have an amazing selection of bourbon! I'm not talking about a just a few top shelf labels, but multiple brands to choose from. On this visit I tried their "house" barrel select of the Heaven Hill and it was delicious, smooth and flavorful! The food is delicious. We've sampled their fish and chips (best around), sausage rolls, pretzel braid, and Sheppard's pie. Everything we have ordered has been very flavorful. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was very good and I could have eaten several servings. Overall, the Bulls Head Public House is quintessential smalltown pub, where all are welcome to stay and enjoy themselves.

They fully embrace that feeling I got bangers and mash , I now what a Cumberland sausage taste like, pretty good reminded me of a good breakfast sausage. The mash must have been made with turnip and potato as it was slightly sweet, onion gravy was spot on as were the carrots. The spouse went with the quesadilla. she stated the steak was really good. Ice tea for both of us . unexpectedly water was available for any one from a tap near the doors. Plastic cups, no purchase needed. Great idea! We shall return, nice place and good food is hard get any more. $42.30 plus tip we always tip at 20% ( or the spouse gets testy.) but the server / cleaner didn't get the idea it was for her, I actually had to say " this is a tip, for you! After we were seated I was greeted with a birthday card and a hand painted oyster shell Christmas ornament. The weather was bad so the deck was closed. Our waitress was excellent, gave us the specials, and had our drinks out in minutes. Cream of Crab Soup and Steamed claim in garlic butter are must haves. The Cream of Crab is some of the best on the Easy Coast. My wife ordered the Salmon BLT wrap. I had the Salt Life. Scallops, shrimp, lump crab and cod in an amazing Old Bay Alfredo sauce. This was the first time eating inside. We still had a beautiful view down the Susquehanna River. Another perfect afternoon and meal at Water Street Seafood. Probably my favorite things were the crab hush puppies, and the fresh fish, served with pineapple. The entrees came with two sides. Therefore, I tried four sides. The French fries and potato salad were really good. The fresh vegetables had onions in it. I am not a big onion fan. The coleslaw was good. Next time, I will order the fish, with just one side- the potato salad was very large. For an appetizer, I will get the clams again, and the crab hush puppies. Yelp was so helpful guiding me to the hush puppies. The chef prepared our food outstandingly. Coral was are very friendly server. A nice meal with an outstanding server and a view of the water made for an excellent day. The host and the people helping out to clear the table were very nice, also. The vibe at the restaurant was a tropical beach feeling. People were dressed casually, mostly in t-shirts.

There was just too much on the menu to not try so we kept coming back. Here is a rundown of the food and drink at Galway's. First night I went with the Galway Bay's Signature Irish Dexter Burger. There is even an advertisement for the burger on the back of the men's toilet stall! That is how much they hype this burger up. The burger was indeed delicious, and you can make room for a drink or two at these authentic Irish Bar. Now, the bad news is I tried two different beers on tap and both tasted funky. The have another bar to the left of the main entrance and I did have a beer there on a different occasion and it was fine. I really can't explain why on the first night both beers tasted bad, perhaps they need to clean the tap or something hence the once star deduction. On the last night here, I had the Irish Spice Bag, this is described on the menu as a popular takeout dish in Ireland. It was full of spice and in a bag for sure and once shaken and poured out it had a lot of flavor (the fries and chicken) be forewarned though definitely not low sodium. My girlfriend ordered the Shepherd's pie twice. We both noticed the inside meat under the potatoes was extremely dark in color. Not sure why that was but it was full of a deep distinct flavor of mouthwatering meaty deliciousness. Not a light dish by any means however a quality example of Shepherd's Pie. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking to try something different as the menu is full of fun items. As always people SYOY!!!

However the restaurant is tucked away on the second floor of a shopping center, and the seating is not ideal. The acoustics made it difficult to hear the server and my dinner companions, and this was before the live music began (which was setting up in the dining area as we ate). I was pleasantly surprised by the food, and everyone seemed cheerful and welcoming. But the restaurant was too chaotic to have any semblance of a meaningful conversation. I had to shout across the table to be heard. I may come back to enjoy a beverage and listen to a band, but I would never bring a date to this location if I had any expectation of enjoying each other's company. And that's really a shame: the food and location are excellent.

By the time we were finally done, most restaurants were already closed. We called this restaurant close to 10 PM, and from the moment the hostess answered the phone, we were treated with such kindness and genuine hospitality. We arrived around 10 PM, and not once did we feel like we were an inconvenience or that anyone was trying to rush us out the door. Quite the opposite. From the hostess, to Chef Suli, to our waitress, everyone was absolutely amazing. They were warm, personal, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What impressed us even more was the food. Even though it was late, nothing felt rushed. The food was prepared with care, and the food was absolutely amazing! You have to order the Babe's wings, the crab stuffed pretzel, and brisket sandwich with the homemade potato chips everything was delicious ! After such a long, exhausting day, this was exactly what we needed. While great food is always important, it's service like this that truly leaves a lasting impression. We live 2 hours away and aren't able to come often, but this experience was so memorable that next year it will definitely be on our must-visit list. A huge thank you to Chef Suli, our waitress, the hostess, and the entire team for taking such great care of us. You turned the end of a very long day into such a wonderful experience.
