    a plate of food
    Melissa V.

Renee was really nice! The floor was prob one of the slickest/greasiest floors that I have ever stepped on though. Yuck! I have no idea how someone has not fallen yet. The food was hot & fresh. I don't eat a lot of fried food so I was happy my mom shared this plate w me. Fish was hot & crispy. Green beans had a good flavor. Corn was good but kinda mushy. Maybe it was over cooked. This is definitely an older restaurant. It just needs some updating & the floor DEFINITELY needs a deep cleaning.

We like our fish cooked Xtra crispy and they did it perfect. Same with the clams. That's all we ever eat there and it was great

Here's a polished Yelp-style review:…read more 4/5 Stars Fast, affordable food with friendly staff and a casual atmosphere. I had the Philly cheesesteak, which was okay, but the fries were excellent and definitely the highlight of my meal. My mother ordered the fish and chips, and they were surprisingly good with crispy batter and great flavor. If you're looking for an easy, affordable fried-food meal without spending a lot, this is a solid choice. I'd happily stop by again when I'm in the area.

They keep the place clean and they make sure you have everything you need. We each ordered the #5 Fish 'N Shrimp Platter at the counter and were given an order number with a shiny holder to place on our table so they could find us when our food was ready. By the way, shouldn't there be a limit to the number of times "'N" can be used instead of the word "and" on a menu? Just asking. Anyway, our lunch was ready and delivered rather quickly. We had tarter sauce and malt vinegar for the 2 fish filets, which were tender, flaky and delicious. We had cocktail sauce for the 3 beer battered shrimp. I think they would have been better with a panko type of coating but maybe the beer batter makes it more authentic for an English pub. The hand-cut chips were good and plentiful and the coleslaw was tasty. Pip pip cheerio!

It was our…read morefirst time coming, and when we first walked in the door we made eye contact with the lady at the hostess stand, and she said first words out of her mouth that will be $37.17. Lol I immediately smile back and said well what am I paying for? She said the buffer. I told her that "it is our first time here. Sorry I did not know." I asked her if I could take a look first she said sure I did and the food looked fresh and everything seemed clean around it so we decided to give it a try. Everything is on disposable styrofoam plates and disposable utensils... I chose a small piece of the baked fish put a few small pieces of the fried fish, one, each of the two different hush puppies, about three fries of each type they had sweet potato, and regular russet, then I made a plate of salad, which had tabouli, which I was excited about potato salad, Caesar salad, regular salad and a beet. I also put about three boiled cold, shrimp, peel, and eat type on my plate. My husband tried most of everything as well. I am a condiment junkie, so I had to get a little bit of their cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and green tomatoes. In saying all of that, we were optimistic.. the fish is very very average. The tabouli was not to my taste there, the potato salad was spot on very tasty and flavorful. The round hush puppy was undercooked raw center it had potential had it not been under cooked . and the little tube shaped hush puppy was really tough and no flavor, in my opinion this one should be taking off their menu. You kinda had to just find your way and figure it out we realized we were to take our plate and put it in the trash. Our self I was gonna say service was bad but that would be unfair. They're just was no service.. I wish this place well, and I do think it will be a success for those that enjoy quantity and atmosphere is not important as far as it's very loud in there etc.. a lot of rubbing elbows and such. Now for dessert they had some cobblers pudding, vanilla wafers, and then homemade vanilla ice cream on the desert. The cobbler's were dry and not made with a crust Kinda like a dump cobbler. The pudding seemed to be probably out of the can... my husband tried the cobbler and said it was dry. He stirred the ice cream through it and said it was good that way.... I didn't waste calories on it just went straight for the homemade ice cream and it was good... a texture, kinda like snow ice cream if you've ever had that.

We live close to the area so we Tried again and they were not closed. It is a buffet only and includes the drink. It is clean and bright and well decorated. Service: you serve yourself and they pick up the plates after you eat. It's styrofoam and plastic utensils. The buffet consisted of: fried catfish, fried butterfly shrimp, baked fish, boiled shrimp, the standard things that go with fried cat fish (coleslaw, fries, potato salad, okra), small salad bar which also included a Caesar salad. There is baked potato bar as well as red beans. The fried food was either under or over fried. I didn't eat the baked fish which I should have. The catfish was Meh. They had deserts which were a cobbler, chocolate and banana puddings, and I'm not sure what the other was. The cobbler didn't look appealing. They did have homemade ice cream. They had banana and vanilla. It was the the bomb!! Cost was almost $35 for 2. Doubt we would be back since the fish was Meh.

Service was friendly enough and efficient. We both picked a burger. I ordered french fries and my husband ordered onion ring. The barbecue sauce was served in a recur ketchup bottle, the burgers were good the french fries were big homestyle french fries so not my favorite and the onion rings were not consistently Cooked. Some of them were good and crispy, and some were very lightly cooked. There was a young girl appeared to be in training and an older Lady that appeared to be her supervisor was Not very nice to her is what I observed. Made me a little uncomfortable and did not like that style of training. Kindness goes a long way in my book. The only other customer there with us was trying to pay out and it took them a long time to get to him and to get him out the door. He shared with the young girl that he was needing to get gone. He was a bit in a hurry. After that customer left, she shared to her supervisor that he was in a hurry and the supervisor's response was "he'll need to get over it". I think this place needs some experienced management and a good cleaning with some yard up keep.. I know groceries are expensive but it was $45 to get out the door. I love to patronize locally owned businesses. I hope they can get it together here. It was good The first time we went last year when it was barbecue.

We started at the bar as our reserved table wasn't ready yet. My husband already knew what beer he wanted but I was on the fence. I decided to try one of the frozen cocktails, but one was a little too sour and the other was a bit too sweet. The bartender suggested mixing the two together into what they called a "Fraddy," and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful, which is something that seems harder and harder to find these days. They have TVs throughout the restaurant, making it a great place to catch a game, and we especially enjoyed watching the World Cup there. The outdoor patio is spacious and inviting, and I also appreciated that they accept reservations. Bella was an outstanding server who made excellent recommendations for our meal. The pizza was very tasty, although it was slightly undercooked for our preference. We also ordered a small Caesar salad, which was good but a little smaller than expected, so we will definitely order the large next time. Overall, we had a great experience and will absolutely be back!
