    BBQ Bacon Burger
    Alex C.

I've been here a few times. I used to get take out burgers since I lived down the street. Seems like they give you more fries if you eat in though. The interior decor and atmosphere is good. It's funny how the staff dress up in a western cowboy theme also. Guess it's appropriate considering the name of the place. Service was good and prompt. I got the BBQ Bacon Burger. It came with big slabs of bacon and tons of BBQ sauce, which made for a messy meal. No worries though, the waitress gave us plenty of napkins. The patty was big and thick, which was filling. I ordered the salad because you're left with a greasy feeling in the pit of your stomach as you get older if you eat too much greasy and deep fried food... The salad serving portion was good. My fiancée got the wrap with fries and I took a bite of the wrap (and stole her fries). The wrap was good too. Fries were the usual. There's a certain consistency and expectation you have when you enter a chain establishment. Considering the name of the restaurant, it certainly meets the expectation that you'd get a meaty meal. I would rate it a 3.5, but I've rounded it up to a 4. Would go again if I'm craving a meaty meal.

Best place for fajitas and margaritas! The fajitas are made fresh daily, and chips are served warm with fresh salsa. Chips and salsa used to be complimentary, but they changed it (I think it's $1 a basket now). We usually do half chicken half steak fajitas, and they come out quickly and sizzling! Unlimited fixings (cheese, sour cream, lettuce, etc). Fajitas used to come with rice and beans, but now I think you have to choose only one. You can tell corporate did a few things to change this place to make more money, but I don't care too much as the food is still amazing. The margaritas here are one of the only places that don't make them too sweet. So many restaurants add so much sugar to their frozen alcoholic beverages, but these ones are just right. Can't wait to come to margaritaville (their outdoor patio) this summer. Kind of silly that they advertise it as a "waterfront" patio when it's so far away from the water. You can see the lake a tiny bit through the trees, at best.

Was pretty excited to find out this was an old firehouse. Interesting!

Another great meal at a different Lonestar. Gotta live these Fajitas!!!!!!!!!!

The food was great. Big dishes and nice service. We had "all you can eat" BBQ sparibs which was delicious. And a large glass of tasty margarita. Highly recommend.

Finally went inside to confirm and then made a reservation of that night on their outdoor patio area. The vibe is really nice since the patio is it's own separate area with some really nice...tiling? Idk it just feels really premium and good vibes outside. Ordered the Nabulsi Cheese small plate as well as the Pan Seared Flat-Iron Steak as the recommendation from the server. I'm really not that well versed in fine dining or just more pricy places, so this was a relatively new experience on my end. The nabulsi cheese plate was exceptional. The blend of flavours (olives, tomatoes, shallots) were really nice mixed together. The cheese was amazing, chewy and just great texture all on a nice sliced baguette. Kinda like a flavour explosion which was amazing. Definitely try the cheese plate. The flat-iron steak wasn't you typical steak cooked along with a potato side (mashed or fries). The steak was paired with a quinoa mix, "panca pepper demi and aji verde" which were the dark brown/black sauce and the green sauce in the picture. Steak was super tender and with both sauces were phenomenal. On the same vein as the nabulsi cheese plate, these dishes are literally flavours I've never tasted before and they were amazing. I never really tried quinoa either and was skeptical as to how it would pair alongside steak but it was actually quite nice since the texture was so different then the other things we ordered. This place is the definition of a hidden gem for me. Not even a Yelp page (woohoo another business added!) and not signage outside indicating what it is. Hopefully this review gives it it's much needed appreciation! 5 stars easily.

Worst. Birthday. Dinner. EVER! I was so excited to eat at…read morethis restaurant. I even chose it for my birthday dinner. Bad choice, and I would not go back. I went on a Monday night & arrived with a little more than an hour until I needed to leave and go to my Ghost Walking tour downtown, which was a 15 minute drive away. Since it was a Monday, I figured that was more than enough time. There were two tables seated outside. I was the only table in the downstairs dining room. And there were a lot of staff. I have no idea why service was so slow! The outside is very cute. There is a huge Grizzly Bear head over the entrance & the inside is gorgeous beams and dark wood. Great ambiance with the potential to be a wonderful place to eat. I sat on the first flood downstairs in a booth at the back. I could see the kitchen from my seat. The staff was friendly and there was a hostess. My server was Erika. It took a few minutes for her to come over. I saw at least four servers moving around the dining room and not in a panic or rush. I ordered a drink. It was some kind of tropical something. Took forever to come out & no alcohol. I could taste none. I knew what I wanted to eat in advance what with having to be careful about gluten, so I ordered my food when I placed the drink order. The waitress was concerned about the pecan coating on the shrimp for my Surf and Turf order. She went to check with the kitchen to see if it was gluten-free and it wasn't (I was hoping it was just pecans). I was relieved to see she was careful about the gluten. So I had to get plain grilled shrimp. A bit disappointing, but no biggie. I kept waiting & watching the time tick by. Finally, I saw some food come up in the kitchen window. I did see a plate with a steak and thought, "Oh that must be my dinner." I kept waiting for someone to go over and grab it, but looked at my phone when it came up and it sat in the window for NINE minutes with servers walking past. I almost asked the hostess if that was my food. More food came out bit by bit and the servers started running it up that huge staircase. We're not talking about 20 plates or anything. There may have been a group of 10 -12 max by my estimation. After 45 minutes & being in the restaurant over an hour, I called my server over and said I had to leave in 6 minutes to catch my tour. After missing my trolley tour by 4 minutes, I was panicked to be at this tour on time. She went over to check and said it would be out in 3 minutes. It was almost 7:40 PM by now, and I was starving. I told her it was ridiculous that grilled shrimp and a medium rare steak wasn't out in 45 minutes in a restaurant that was mostly empty. She tried to make the excuse there was a large party upstairs. I was a server for more than a decade. One party of 10 doesn't put a kitchen behind like that. She even said, "Yes, I thought 45 minutes was a long time." That made me angrier. Well, if you thought there was a problem, why didn't you check on it? Or check on me? She hadn't been back once in all that time. I had ordered another drink from someone else, but it still wasn't there. The food did come out about 3 minutes later & there were LITERALLY 3 shrimp on the plate. You can see in the picture. The steak was seasoned well but not a great cut of meat. Tough in some places. And they had just started making this. The asparagus wasn't good. No flavour, not done. Three of the potatoes were still raw. I gulped down as much as I could in the few minutes I had. Finally the 2nd drink came out & I told her to give it to someone else. I had no time to drink it & wasn't going to chug it on a still mostly empty stomach & drive. There seemed to be very little common sense in the way things ran at this place. Know what they did to 'fix' it? Took the drink I had no time to consume off the bill & the first with no alcohol. Not what anyone wants for a birthday dinner. Mediocre food, poor service and panic and stress. I would never go back.

The prices are more expensive compared to other restaurants on Princess, but for good reason. The food is Amazing. The staff will take care of you (that was Sara for us, the one who just started a few nights ago, the one from Alberta, I think -- please keep her on the earlier dining shift, always. I predict she'll get more glowing reviews and up your restaurants' reputation online/overall if you keep her on the earlier shift ). My partner and I came up to visit Kingston just for the day to reminisce our separate times at Queen's. We stumbled into deciding to eat here after Grecco's wait was too long, and discovering that Mino's wasn't offering dine-in options except for Fridays and Saturdays (we came to visit on a Thursday). Anyway, I'm so happy Grizzly Grill had no wait and seated us right away. The Carving Platter for 1 was way more food than two people could eat and finish. It was mouth wateringly delicious and a great way to sample many of the items on their menu. The only thing I didn't like (there was two): 1) The prime rib portion was served as shavings. It just tastes like tasty stir-fried beef (no offense). Perhaps changing the description to "Prime Beef shavings" would be a more accurate description. 2) The spice that was on everything, ended up being on the fries, chicken wings and dry-rub ribs was unexpectedly spicy. It had heat that I didn't enjoy since I was not expecting it. I suspect that it was from the dry-rub that made things gently, but surely fiery, that I did not like. Much too much dry rub and it was way too salty for my liking. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS AMAZING. THE P.E.I. MUSSELS. THE PRIME RIB I HAD 10 YEARS AGO (I still have just a great memory of eating it and how juicy and delicious it was!) Students, this is where you want to take your parents instead/as an alternative to Chez Piggy's. You won't regret it (:

Atmosphere is spacious, cabin-like and comfortable. Staff do the standard vaccination check and contact tracing procedures before being seated. Service is really good as I'd expect and our server was constantly checking in on us throughout the meal which was solid. Came here for the Endless Shrimp promotion going on for $23.99 on Monday-Thursday and goes up to $29.99 Friday-Sunday. For 23.99 I think the price is pretty good for what you get. There's 5 varieties of shrimp on offer here but the highlights for me were the crispy thai and the grilled skewer. Don't recall how many orders I did but they definitely do not make you wait for ordering more shrimp. Our server kept coming back asking what our next shrimp order was going to be. The shrimp isn't anything amazing but it's just pretty good overall. You only get 1 side for all of this which is a bit disappointing as I stopped ordering more shrimp because I was getting a tad bored of just stuffing my face with shrimp and nothing else lol. Not sure about any of their other offerings but endless shrimp promotion is actually not a bad value play and does the job.
