We scoped out a few places and landed here for a change from the typical pub vibe, Italian pasta joints around the corner, or chains like Jack Astor's. We beat the lunch crowd, arriving just before 2 PM. Service was great--we were seated immediately and ordered a few tapas: some roasted Brussels sprouts and a selection of meat options including Persian BBQ lamb, achiote grilled chicken, and sticky pork ribs. The chicken was my least favorite, though it wasn't bad. Everything else was absolutely delicious and flavorful. I'd really like to come back another time for proper drinks--they have an impressive wine list and a nice selection of sangrias that caught my eye. Definitely worth a return visit if you're passing through Kingston.

Finally went inside to confirm and then made a reservation of that night on their outdoor patio area. The vibe is really nice since the patio is it's own separate area with some really nice...tiling? Idk it just feels really premium and good vibes outside. Ordered the Nabulsi Cheese small plate as well as the Pan Seared Flat-Iron Steak as the recommendation from the server. I'm really not that well versed in fine dining or just more pricy places, so this was a relatively new experience on my end. The nabulsi cheese plate was exceptional. The blend of flavours (olives, tomatoes, shallots) were really nice mixed together. The cheese was amazing, chewy and just great texture all on a nice sliced baguette. Kinda like a flavour explosion which was amazing. Definitely try the cheese plate. The flat-iron steak wasn't you typical steak cooked along with a potato side (mashed or fries). The steak was paired with a quinoa mix, "panca pepper demi and aji verde" which were the dark brown/black sauce and the green sauce in the picture. Steak was super tender and with both sauces were phenomenal. On the same vein as the nabulsi cheese plate, these dishes are literally flavours I've never tasted before and they were amazing. I never really tried quinoa either and was skeptical as to how it would pair alongside steak but it was actually quite nice since the texture was so different then the other things we ordered. This place is the definition of a hidden gem for me. Not even a Yelp page (woohoo another business added!) and not signage outside indicating what it is. Hopefully this review gives it it's much needed appreciation! 5 stars easily.

It's great for small and large groups, for celebrations, for watching sports, and perfect for corporate events! Thanks to my friend for introducing this place to us! It was a pleasure to meet Chef Paulson and his team! Our server was also very friendly and enthusiastic ^^ I love the Asian-inspired menu; Chef Paulson is absolutely talented, and the food is SO AMAZING! I can't wait to visit again. I would recommend the following: Avocado Infused Hummus - The hummus was so light and creamy, and I love the addition of pistachio and pomegranate to this dish! The pita bread was also soft and fluffy Turkey Delight Poutine - Loved this shareable appetizer! Topped with braised turkey, fresh Quebec cheese curd, and crispy kale. That cranberry mayo was definitely chef's kiss! Seafood Linguine - Made with a housemade tomato sauce, and topped with fresh shrimps, Hokkaido scallops, and mussels. A very tasty entrée! Fish & Chips - My friend especially enjoyed this dish Seared haddock (instead of traditionally breaded/deep fried!), served with mushy peas (有驚喜!), coleslaw and tartare sauce. My friends also had the Itaewon Beef Burger with Fries and the Korean BBQ Short Ribs on Rice. Both very tasty according to them ^^

We saw a number of people leave the restaurant because they waited too long for someone to come over or drinks to come etc. We ordered not too long after we sat down. A grilled cheese for our daughter, tomato soup for me and a club sandwich for my hubby. In our experience typically kids meals come out the quickest but not in our case. Somehow our order took almost an hour to come out of the kitchen. Our server was sweet and it wasn't her fault but we weren't offered anything while we waited. While the food tasted pretty good, it was a bit of a struggle to entertain our bored and hungry toddler. If you're not in a rush, definitely check this place out!

I wish I would have seen the ratings for this place before we went…read more Net-net: Expensive. Avoid this place. Service is bad. Food is average at best, and they overcharge. Monday evening, a lot of other local places were closed, looked interesting from the outside. Should have stopped there! It was not busy at all, 5 tables. Seated rather quickly. Menus on table good! Then.................it took awhile before waitress came to get drinks and apps order. Then it took another long while to get 4 drinks. Again, 5 tables. I am from Montreal and we are used to "casual" service, but the waitress was chatty Cathy and yacking it up with a couple at the bar. So eventually drinks came.... Apps when they came out were good. Bruchetta did come out wet, the cook should have grilled the bread before putting the toppings on, then flash heated under the salamander. But overall an ok start. However the silverware and napkins were not on the table, bit of a delay but they came with some water at the table. Then the long wait came....waitress chatted with bar patrons, then two women came in who the waitress knew, she seated them in the back and sat down with them and chatted.....and chatted. I finally had to get up, approach the waitress (she saw me get up and shot over from the chatty table) and ask for a second round of drinks, refill of the water jug (no service pours here) and ask about the food. Then another wait......drinks come out. No food. Waitress saunters to the kitchen and food arrives. We had the vodka gnocchi and tomato bowtie pasta. All 4 plates had been sitting under a heat lamp. Gnocchi had a decent rosé sauce, but definitely not a vodka sauce. Sun dried tomato bowtie with chicken came out oily with no tomato taste, and the chicken was dried out. Not even worthy to take home. My daughters ordered mock drinks, but we were charged full price for drinks. When my partner explained to the waitress that her plate was oily and dry, the waitress did offer to replace it, but we would still be waiting for that to be served if we took her up on it. Waitress simply took the plate off of the bill. Clear the staff is not motivated and this place will close soon if this is the norm. Avoid....there are much better places to go in Kingston!

We ordered the taco platter, which consisted of 8 tacos and 3 sides. The tacos they have are chicken, beef, pulled pork, jack fruit, shrimp, and cod. It's worth noting that you're not allowed to order just one kind of taco for this platter, you need to order in two's (a small inconvenience). The sides we chose were chips & salsa, rice, and the lime salt papa fritas (fries). The meal was pretty good! Each taco has it's own unique ingredients and flavours going on, so it was fun trying all the different kinds. My favourite was the cod, as I thought the pineapple and salsa verde were a nice touch. I also liked the chicken taco, but it was too spicy in my opinion. It's nice to have your tacos made with flavour, but not too much "heat". They actually have an entire shelf of hot sauces on the far wall of the restaurant so that you can go grab a sauce to use if you want your taco to be spicy. Of course I understand that Mexican cuisine has more "bite" to it, but again, in my opinion it was just a bit too spicy to enjoy. I'll also say that the food did not come out warm...perhaps it wasn't supposed to...not sure. The fries were amazing, but the rice was cold and lacking flavour. Chips were fine, but they could certainly be more generous on the salsa. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner, and we would certainly return.

Who knew they would leave the doors to the outside open and let all flying bugs in. They were annoying to swat away from the food every few seconds. Food was tasty in the end. But: The house corn chips and "dip" - dip is too small to share with 3 people. The Poblano Rajas barely had poblano peppers. The Quesadilla Stack has way too much lime crema. Perhaps a little squeeze??? Not covered entirely with crema. Every dish is gussied up. There should be something a little more "plain". Not every dish needs to be overloaded. We tried to order the Chicken Taquitos and remove an item but were told they're pre-made and can't be customized. Their favourite spice is cumin. Way too much in every dish. It's the only flavour in the red rice. What State in Mexico are they trying to represent as I e eaten at Mexican restaurants and never had so much cumin. Finally, the number of messages and text messages to "remind me" of my reservation was simply annoying. 2 messages at a time! And then, I got a call at 5:45 pm (for my 6pm reservation) asking where I am as I am late for my 5:30pm reservation??? All the reminders said 6 and 6 was my selected time. How did they get it wrong?
