I wanted to have a drink with my sister when she was in town, so we came here. They wouldn't let us in because my friend was wearing basketball shorts. Wouldn't let me in for wearing black shorts (that were almost to my knees in length) because they don't allow "active wear". It came off very rude and disrespectful. Took our $$$ to the Lodge across the street instead. Every other time I've been it's been totally empty. Surprised this place affords to stay open. read more

How can you advertise $2 drink specials and charge $7 for 2. Manager is a coward who scams people. Food was nothing but frozen Walmart crap. Can't get customers so they prey on drunk people by overcharging them. Went there for a nice concert night with friends but after their web of lies from the waitress to the "manager" and to hear their lies to try to cover it up I've had enough. I won't be going back. I tried it again a second time and good gracious it was awful! Waitress brought me the wrong beer 3 separate times, half our table got drinks the other half had to beg. Waitress told us the manager was coming to see us and we hadn't complained at all, only to never have the manager show up. My food was sub par and tasteless(previously frozen meat) . Then my table ordered shots only to be charged 11 dollars each(total of 4 shots) waitress offered no apology and we couldn't leave fast enough. Time in the restaurant was a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes. I cannot tell you how frustrating this place is to order food/drinks from. read more

Husband and I went for dinner and had a great experience. Super cute cozy atmosphere, waitresses were really busy but we got great service she never forgot even the smallest details. We started with the jalapeños and whoa they're spicy but YUMMY! Mixed drinks were made great and I have managed a bar before so I can be pretty picky. The food was great we both god cheese burgers and they do not skimp on the portions! I could barely bite it it was so big... But I found a way because it was so delicious!!!!! After dinner we sat outside and relaxed, I really enjoyed they're cozy patio it's a great way to visit so perfect for dates or group of friends or making new friends! Will definitely be back!!! The Lone Star Ice House has so much potential, but my experience has been very underwhelming. Without competent professional management there will never be any consistency or quality to overcome the relentless negative reviews posted everywhere on the internet. We had several mis-orders on drinks, a double order once, some of the most watered down shots I have ever tasted, as well as ended up having a tab at the bar and one at the table. The sound from the band was horrible. ...Imagine every song sounding like mumbling nonsense with ear piercing fiddle to top it off. I would have loved to try the newly managed restaurant, but we came too late. However, I seriously doubt the waitstaff would have been capable of getting it to the table once done. Clearly this place suffers from piss-poor management. I know what I would do if my bar was the laughing stock of the town online. ...especially considering the sizable investment and potential. read more

Well where to start. The food is nothing to be excited about. The 80's mash up music with a horrible DJ makes you want to go anywhere else. They no longer have the public juke box available. This is my favorite bar! They have live music, a nice open seating area, drinks are average but the outside area with the fire in the winter is so nice and they have shades drawn during the summer. I've never been disappointed here. I can't comment on the food because I don't come here to eat. read more

Food was terrible last time I went there but went back because I liked the band playing there. Food was bad again but was told drinks were $2 by the waitress. Sounded great. I ordered 2. And again a couple of more times. End of night and bill comes and was charged for additional food I did not order and twice as much for each drink. When I brought this to management they used every lie they could think of to justify the overcharge. 2 drinks was a double do they could charge $7 instead of $2+$2 = $4. If that's the case then tell me up front. Don't lie to me and say I should expect that. You got an extra $20 from me tonight but your lies and shady tactics cost you a customer forever. No wonder the place was dead. No one likes to be scammed. If you want to charge that much be up front about it. I would have payed it. Don't like lies and deceit. read more

Husband and I went for their first day of Sunday Brunch. You'd think with it being the roll-out of a new offer they'd be on point. Sadly this was not the case (or at least in the kitchen). I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was nothing to write home about, and the side of home fries were overcooked and dry and left me still hungry. Husband ordered the Dirty Bird Burger which was better and offered more flavor yet again the home fries just weren't good. Not worth $12. Our server was excellent however. The Mimosa was good and Bloody Mary was nice and spicy. Great bar atmosphere. read more

Went for lunch today (Saturday). Wasn't busy at all. Food was great. Probably the best CFS at a restaraunt that I've had in Longview (Had one at just about every place that offers it in this city). Great atmosphere and the wait staff is friendly with good service. Good variety of live music (with no cover), excellent food, and good drink prices. One of our favorite places to unwind and hang out. Quiet and laid back during the week and good music on the weekend. First...$4.50 for Ultra?? Really? The food was blah. I had the pulled pork nachos. Wife had a hockey puck...I mean grilled chicken breast. The pulled pork nachos consisted of, very little pulled pork, but a TON of sour cream and chips. Apparently trying to cut corners and fill you up with chips. Wifes grilled chicken breast was tough as leather, and just wasnt good at all. Service was SLOWWWW, and our server had no idea what time the music started. Nachos, grilled chicken, 6 beers and terrible service. $50 bucks. Has the right atmosphere, just lacks the food and service. Probably wont go back. read more

The food is pretty good, but wait staff takes forever to get to your table and drinks take awhile also. Last two times we have gone the orders were incorrect and had to be sent back. Food took and hour to get to us and half of the order was wrong and the food was cold and had little taste.
